You have found your way to Peddler’s Rock. A traveling shop for everything, including some things not quite legal. A tall and burly Dovaa greets you as you come in and asks if you have a moment to spare.
"Hey there little one, may I have a word with you? I'm in a bit of a bind. You see, got a spot of trouble that needs dealing with but I can’t leave my shop unattended. Could you lend me a hand, perhaps?"
Sparky and Samril had been enjoying a day of traveling, hoping to find some dragons to fight or at least something cool to inspect. And they had indeed found something cool: a Dovaa with a traveling shop! Samril had heard a few rumors of various shopkeepers that roamed the world of Magesc and often had interesting items up for sale. And so he was excited to have found one finally.
But as he had no more than stepped foot into the shop, the shopkeeper greeted him with a quest. Samril grinned. "Sure! We'd love to help." Hey, after all, it might get him a discount!
He smiles with relief upon your agreement, "Thanks a bunch, partner. I have a few tasks, mostly need some help restocking, but there is one that I’d like you to do first. Not really all that earth-shattering, just…finding something for me." he says, rubbing the back of his head a bit embarrassed.
"Find something? Okay, sure." Samril was a bit confused on why this tough looking Dovaa would be so embarrassed about losing something. Everyone lost things! "What is it? Where is it?" He quickly bombarded the poor man with questions.

Task 1
"I've lost a letter on my way here this morning. It’s extremely important to me and I’d prefer that no one read it." a small blush and awkward expression passes over his face. "But since I can’t leave the shop, you’ll have to go back along my path and try to find it for me."
The path to the shop is a rather winding one with many bushes, trees, and shrubs along it. So many places for a letter to hide.
You find the letter and it’s closed. You may open it and read it, or you may return it to him unopened. Or you may not return it if you don’t want to.
"A letter? No problem! Sparky and I will find it!!" With that, the Kiandri pair dashed off down the path to look for this mysterious and important letter. They slowed and started looking along the sides of the path, one taking each side and looking everywhere they thought a letter might have managed to go.
It took them some time and some backtracking and creative searching, but finally Samril spotted the edge of an envelope sticking out from the middle of a bush. He stuck his hand in there and winced as he realized the bush had thorns. Carefully, he pulled the letter out and was surprised to see that it was intact still. "C'mon Sparky! Found it!"
Sparky gave a happy chirp and the pair made their way back to the shop to return the letter. The thought of opening the letter never crossed their minds as they innocently skipped along the path.

Arick grins, so he’d judged you right! You were good enough to do the tasks he needed done. So nice to know that there are dependable people out there.
"Here's your letter, mister!" Samril announced as they approached the shop, the envelope waving in the air. He handed it over to the other Dovaa, curious as to what other tasks the man might have for them to do now.

Task 2
This task is more important, his stock of pearly scales is running low and he needs you to go get three for him. He tells you that there are two ways to get them. One is to fight an Oralrik and the second is to search the banks of Serenia’s lakes for the scales.
The place he tells you to go fight an Oralrik is in a small stream leading to Lake Tyluafel. The Oralriks you see here are smaller than the ones you’ve normally seen.
Or you may go to the lake and try finding a larger Oralrik.
"Awesome! A fight!! C'mon Sparky, let's go find us one of these Oralriks!" Samril was thrilled. This was way more fun than searching for a lost letter!
The pair made their way toward Lake Tyluafel, keeping an eye out for any dragons along the way. After all, they might as well make the trip rather worthwhile, right? Unfortunately for them, the trip was rather boring and uneventful.
Samril paused as they came upon the fork in the path that led to the spot where Arick had said that Oralriks could be found. Perhaps so... but Samril had heard they resided in the lake. He peered down each path for a moment, torn on which way to go. Finally, he decided to try the lake. If they didn't find anything there, well then they could just backtrack along the stream instead!
But Samril didn't have to worry about that. Shortly after arriving at the lake, he spotted the large and rather ugly looking creature and grinned. Now it was time to have some fun!!!!

Ugly this creature was and slow as well. Sparky and Samril had no problems quickly taking care of the thing with their Kiandri speeds. Samril splashed some of the water on his hands to clean them after retrieving the scales asked for. He'd managed to find 5, which was more than Arick had asked for. Bonus!
"C'mon Sparky, let's head back. Maybe we'll see a dragon this time!"
Once again, though, the trip was uneventful and soon Peddler's Rock was within sight.

Samril and Sparky walked back into the shop with a grin and handed over the three scales the Dovaa had asked for. Samril would be willing to part with the other two... but for a price perhaps. After all, he might want to buy some stuff later!

Task 3
This time he needs Nocturnal Spikes, he’s out and a customer came by asking for some and he said that he would have some by tomorrow.
You may fight an Riistäjä for its Spikes or you may search the forest of Souldul for them.
Samril grinned as talk was brought up of another fight. These were the kinds of things he liked! Sure, he could go searching around in the forest, but that was boring. BORING BORING BORING. Fighting would be much more fun!
Sparky agreed with his Bonded and the pair headed off for Souldul. Their trip was longer this time, but they still were unlucky in finding any dragons to fight along the way. How boring.
Eventually, they landed at Souldul and trudged across the dark continent toward the lake. It seemed lakes were the places to be for now. Samril could remember the last time he'd been to this lake. Lake Koralifel was rather creepy with its harming powers and such.
The pair walked around and around and around the lake for hours, but did not see anything that even remotely resembled a Riistäjä. Samril sighed and plopped to the ground, his feet tired from all the walking. "Maybe we're not in the right place, Sparky..."
Sparky whined a bit and sprawled on the ground next to his Bonded. Exhaustion took over the two and they drifted off into a light sleep as dusk began to fall.
A sudden rush of panic across the bond woke Samril, who opened his eyes in time to see Sparky intercept a large, creepy looking monster that matched the description they'd been given. Here was their Riistäjä.

The fight took a bit longer than their previous one with the Oralrik, but it still wasn't too much of a challenge for the pair. Finally the Riistäjä was defeated and the Kiandri pair glanced at each other.
"Well... you just saved us, Sparky. What woke you?" Samril had heard no noise until Sparky had joined the fight.
"Smell." The Drakein replied, nudging the Riistäjä's body with his snout. "Smell strange. Wake. See Samril in trouble. Come to rescue!" Sparky sounded rather proud of himself and Samril chuckled.
"Regular knight in shining armor you are, Sparky. Let's get what we came for and get out of here before more show up. I don't like fighting in the dark... even with the lightning balls to help."
Sparky huffed his agreement and they quickly made their way off Souldul and back toward Peddler's Rock.

Two tired Kiandri appeared back at Peddler's Rock. The night fight had kept them awake, but the adrenaline rush was beginning to end, leaving them rather exhausted now. But they were triumphant and proudly turned over the two Nocturnal Spikes that had been requested.

If Arick receives all 3 you get the Gaili Orb and an Ayrala Dragon's Tear. He is happy and relieved. "Oh, thank you so very much, young one. You really did me good there! Here, take this orb and tear as thanks for a job well done!"
Samril grinned as he took their reward. A dragon orb and a dragon's tear! He'd heard some whispers about dragon's tears and now he was holding one!
"Glad we could help!"
