Light Side: Anodyne Quote: For whatever reason, you are on Eowyn. Perhaps you have come looking for Kiandri or Firani Dragons to kill. Or maybe you have come to steal Drakein eggs or possibly just exploring this dry land.
As you wander the desert you spot a strange cave entrance in the side of a sand dune. When you go to investigate you can see that after the tunnel goes down somewhat there is a wooden door.
[ If you knock on the door continue reading, otherwise leave and do not continue this adventure. ]
A tall and majestic figure opens the door. She doesn’t look like any Magescian you’ve seen, her golden skin is lightly scaled and her crimson hair piled on top of her head revealing three strange crystals projecting from where her ears should be. A smile reveals fangs and the woman waves her draconic looking hand to invite you inside.
"Ah! Just as I was about to leave a visitor arrives! How delightful." you sense no menace from her as she invites you in.
"Please, come in, come in! Would you like anything to drink? I know how the desert can make one so very thirsty. Unfortunately, I cannot offer more than tea or water at the moment." she says as she steps back and allows you to enter.
The room you enter is clean and rather light for a cave. The floor, walls, and ceiling are all made up of stone, though plush carpets cover the floor. There are some woven tapestries depicting scenes of flying dragons and Drakein upon the walls. There is only one chair in the corner; the rest of the furniture appears to be made up of low tables and large cushions. Perhaps the majority of her visitors aren’t Magescian at all? She waves at you to take a seat somewhere.
"Oh, how rude of me. I almost forgot to introduce myself. I am Anodyne, one of the Drakeinian leaders." she says with a smile before continuing on.
"I know this may sound rather presumptuous of me; but would you care to do me a favor? I was just about to leave and gather some ingredients that I need for an enchantment; but I do have some rather urgent business keeping me here that I would rather not leave if at all possible. Could I rely upon you to go gather them for me?” she asks.
"I would be willing to give you a Dragon Orb as well as a Ysali Dragon's Tear in return for this favor." she waves her hand at a glowing orb and tear shaped gem on the single self in the room. You recognize the orb as an Aedaun Dragon Soul Orb, though you have never seen a real one before, there are plenty of pictures of them. It just seemed as though her life was spiraling out of control. Yes, the shopping spree last week helped greatly, but her life still didn't seem totally complete. With her husband always gone and her son living away from home, there wasn't much else to do but sit home and cry out of loneliness and despair. It was then that she decided that she needed time away; time away from the continent of Serenia and the Celestial Plane altogether. Thus, she traveled to Eowyn in order to gather her thoughts and truly think about what she was doing with her life.
While she was walking the desert, she noticed something in the distance. It was a cave entrance in the side of a sand dune. Curious as to where it led, she followed the tunnel until it stopped at a wooden door. She wondered where this could possibly lead.
Knock. Knock. Knock.
Suddenly, a tall, strange woman answered the door and led her inside. She explained that she needed a favor and that in return she would give up an Aedaun Dragon Soul and a Ysali Dragon's Tear. Well, this stranger seemed to give off a kind vibe to the Dovaa, and being one of the leaders of the Drakeinian was a very special title to hold. Something about her just made Kavanna feel needed and important...for the first time in a long time.
"I would love to help you out. I need this distraction more than you know. I could use the time alone. What is it that I need to gather?" she asked curiously.

Task 1 Quote: She thanks you for helping her, claiming it will be a huge help. Her first task for you to do is to go to Serenia and gather some of the golden sand from Lake Amafel's banks.
This will take IC time to get there and back. Feel free to RP whatever adventures or misadventures you have along the way.
Roll 1d100.
1-20: Failure! You get the sand but as you go back to Anodyne, disaster strikes and the container is broken and the sand blows away in the wind. Return to her with nothing. Go to Failure.
21-99: Success! You get the sand and return to Anodyne. You may choose to give the sand to her or say you failed (if you do this you keep the sand). Go to Success if you give it to her. Go to Failure if you keep it.
100: You get 2 of the item! You may choose to keep them both or give one to Anodyne. Go to Success if you give one to her. Go to Failure if you keep both. With the explanation of what she is to obtain, Kavanna feels as though she is up to the task.
The trip to Serenia was fairly simple. Nothing really stood in her way. A nice breeze blew through her hair as she walked the dirt and stone paths she could find towards Serenia's fabled lake.
"It feels nice to be needed." she spoke aloud to herself, with only the wind to hear her.
Her walk was soothing and therapeutic to her. A much needed vacation from her depressed mind was good.
Finally, she arrived at the beautiful lake. She took out the bottle and began to fill it with the golden, dried sand. It was so pretty, but she definitely wanted to get back to Anodyne before too long. After all, Kavanna didn't want the Drakeinian to think she stood her up. It was important for Kavanna to do these things, not only to help out another person in need, but for her own peace of mind. The 'needed' feeling had dissipated after Damian's leaving to the Celestial Plane; and it was very nice to have it back.
The trip back was the same as the trip there, very calming and quite a nice, peaceful walk. Not even a Ysali dragon bothered her while she walked below the golden trees. It was surprising, but at the same time a very much needed trip nevertheless.

Easy enough, yet another peaceful trip over to Serenia, right?
Kavanna was enjoying her usefulness today. It truly kept her mind off of what had been bothering her as of late. She breathed in the crisp clean air of Serenia as the sun was falling. It was already getting rather late in the evening. She would likely have to stay the night in Eowyn and come home in the morning after this little task was finished.
As she made her way to the lake, the peaceful song of the birds in the trees was inviting. The dark sun glared upon the lake in the late evening, giving off a serene beauty that she couldn't even describe if she wanted. She bent down, filled the vial up with the lake's water, and left quickly to return to the Drakeinian woman who needed her assistance.

Task 3Quote: Her last and final task is for you to go back to Serenia once again and go look along Lake Tyluafel‘s eastern bank in the early morning and look for a softly glowing herb called the Gold Petalia. Go to Failure if you keep both. Upon her return once again, the Drakeinian woman was quite pleased with Kavanna's help. Kav was happy to hear she could have been of some help to this woman. As she began to leave, not worrying about the payment, the woman spoke up yet again, saying that there was yet one last thing that she needed before she gave up the tear or any orb. The golden scaled woman explained the predicament, and kindly offered Kavanna shelter for the night.
Well, that was convenient. The woman hadn't given her payment because there was yet one last thing she needed, not only that, but it was too late to go all the way back home. It was already late enough as it was. The special leaves that Ano needed were only available in the early morning. By night they would die off and new leaves would form the next morning.
So it was settled, Kavanna decided that she would awake early the next morning and go gather the leaves.

Kavanna slept only but a few hours, for she needed to make sure she made it to the Lake Tyluafel in the morning. As it was, she did. Throughout the trip, the skies were dark, but just as she made it to the clearing with the lake in sight, the sun rose over the horizon and glistened upon the lake's surface. The golden leaves began to sprout almost magically it seemed. She quickly went and picked the first one she saw, and left back to the hovel in Eowyn.

Final Quote: If you gave Anodyne all 3 of the items, then you receive the Aedaun Orb and Ysali Dragon's Tear. If she only receives 2 out of the 3 items then you receive an Aiskala Orb instead. If she receives only one item then you only get a Firani Orb. If she gets nothing she sends you away with nothing but her disappointment and a a declaration that you need to try harder not to fail.
Kavanna smiled the entire way back to Serenia. Yes, that woman could very well be a good friend in the future. She was quite pleased with herself and held the strange tear, which she had never seen before, in her hand gracefully. The brightly glowing gold orb was also a nice touch. She had seen very few Aedaun dragon's flying overhead in her time on Serenia, but never once had she ever thought to attempt to fight one. But now she held the orb in hand and realized it's power was greater than the other dragon orbs she had held before.
Complete. Gave all 3 items. Received x1 Aedaun Dragon Soul Orb and x1 Ysali Dragon's Tear.
