This building offers state of the art recording tools, as well as private rent-able practice spaces and other goodies for professional musicians. There is a cd burning device here that can burn two thousand C.D.s at a time while burning a cover image on the back, as well as Soundproofed chambers and Adjustable Room acoustics in every practice and recording room. Several of the rooms are owned by High paying bands, but for the most part the rooms are rented per hour of use. The recording quality of this studio is currently the best possible.

Lisa sat in one of the practice rooms running through her daily practice regimen. She was somewhere in between her fourth and fifth hour of practice for the day, and she was pretty proud of how easily she had mastered the newest set. Their concert on Saturday was going to blow the crowds mind if the others were doing as well as she was. They just needed two more songs to reach the Sixteen they had wanted for the next album, and then they would be set for release. Both songs were mostly written, but still needed some finishing magic and something to fill a few holes. The other fourteen songs, though never yet heard by an audience, were absolute magic on airwaves and she couldn't wait to unveil the set on Saturday. This would make their Sixth album in three years since they had come together as a band.

 When you look into my face, I shall never lie; Nick walked into the room stretching his arms above his head. He had just finished practicing a few things in another room to help wake up. As he stood in the entrance of the room he saw Lisa in the room sitting down and he walked over to her and plopped down near her. "So how is practice coming?" He asked after a few moments.

"Good so far. I can't wait until we finish those last two tracks for the concert next Saturday. The base line on the ender Is fun as hell to play!" She said, setting her bass down for a second and taking a drink of water. She had been singing for a long time today, and her throat was grateful for the cool liquid. "You up for joining me for a few sets,or are you out for the day?" She asked.

When you look into my face, I shall never lie; "Well you do realize it is like almost 10 pm right now?" Nick said chuckling. "Then again I did just wake up around three hours ago and then practiced to wake up and get blood flowing," He said air drumming a little. "But yea Saturday will be fun that is for sure," He said thinking about it.

"Of course. I started at five, I've been practicing for 5 hours, of course it's ten. Still, it's always better to be over-prepared then under-prepared." She said. To be honest, she was ridiculously tired. She hadn't slept last night either, and she had practiced over 15 hours in the last two days, but this was normal for her these days anyways.Besides, she knew that her band was counting on her, so her ******** up would be an insult to them. She wouldn't show it though. She had caffeine pills and a bass guitar, she was good for another fifty hours at least, she thought, trying not to yawn. "besides, i was up practicing when you went to bed, so i KNOW you're fresh."

"Well yea that is true considering you are a mad woman and I was just making sure you had a grasp of time still," He said standing up. He walked over to a drum set in the room. "So shall we get back to it then?" He asked sitting down ready to practice some more.

"Hell ******** yeah!" she yelled excitedly, pulling her bass back to her and running the strap over her neck and left arm."Count us off for the third set and let's rock this thing!" The third song on the upcoming album was faster then the others, and written in 7/8 time for the most part, with intermittent spurts of 5+4/8 and 11/8 mixed in. So the beat was irregular throughout the piece. With the constant tempo changes Lisa assumed that if any song needed to be practiced with percussion accompaniment, this one did.... Though she WAS already playing it as well as the other pieces she still wanted to have it flawless.

When you look into my face, I shall never lie; Nick slipped his glasses off setting them on a table. He pulled out a small container in his pocket and slipped on his contacts quickly, he has surprisingly gotten quick at putting them on. He pocketed the container again and sat down at the drums. He started the count off for the third song thinking about how it will be on stage at the performance.

They played the song amazingly until three minutes in, when Lisa managed to fall asleep mid-phrase. Her head fell backwards and the lyrics stopped. Strangely enough, her hands kept playing from sheer muscle memory, a testiment to how long she had been practicing, however she was truly and completely out cold despite the moving bass line. As soon as the song ended, she jerked awake again. She was trying her hardest to stay awake and hadn't realized she slept, except she was having trouble remembering how they had done on that last run through... "Can we run that again?" She asked. "I'm having trouble critiquing the ending for some reason."

When you look into my face, I shall never lie; Nick couldn't help but start laughing out loud at her question. "More than that Lisa I think you should get some rest. You passed out on your feet!" He said still laughing a bit. He stood up and walked over to her patting her on the shoulder. "Besides that may let the others wake up so all of us can practice together," He said with a smirk.

"But i don't NEED sleep, nick! I need to get the two new songs written and i need to make sure everything is right! Everything feels weird right now, and i need to practice until it feels right again. It's like my musical equilibrium is trashed. Rest isn't going to fix that. Practice is." She said. She was beating herself up for sleeping on the job, as well as for not getting the vibe right. It felt weird. She knew she was playing the piece with technical perfection, but it just didn't feel as free as it was supposed to.

"Still think you should rest particularly since we have a performance in a few days though I suppose you could sleep tomorrow night or during the morning on Saturday to be rested for it," He said sitting back down. "But if you pass out on your feet again I will make I get ya in a bed," He said getting ready to start again.

Lisa walked back over to her bottle of caffeine tablets and tossed three of them into her mouth, then swallowed them down with water. She got back in place And this time nailed the song without any sleeping, though it still felt weird to her. "Why doesn't it feel right, nick? Do you feel what i'm talking about? It's supposed to feel free and liberating... why does it feel so off?"

When you look into my face, I shall never lie; Nick leaned back in the chair spinning the drum sticks a bit in his hands thinking about it. "Yea I get what you are saying. I am not too sure what is off though...its like I should know what it is but it feels just out of reach to really know," He said thinking about it.
