The winds were blowing strong from the south, bring a gust of snow and ice. The weather was chilling, the ground deep with mush. Raising rose eyes, Leli'takata looked over to his companion.

"It seems we are lost, my dear friend." he said simply, amusement creeping into his eyes as his familiar, Tulizo'pisha, narrowed her eyes and thumped her foot angrily. Leli let out a soft chuckle, stooping low to shield the hare from a sudden rise in the wind. "Don't you worry, my dear. We'll be just fine." Leli lied quite easily, smile widening.

Pisha gave him a skeptic look, ears twitching under the lion-windbreaker.
"I'm sure you'd want me to believe that, you oaf." the hare responded, though without any poison in her tone. Leli turned his head, eyes squinting against the flurry of snow. "Come, Pisha. Let us get you out of the cold." Nudging the reluctant hare with a paw, Leli trotted forward. After a moment, Pisha finally gave in, quickly caught up, then hopped upon the lion's back.

Something felt off about today, but Urza wasn't sure of what. The blizzard had started a bit ago, but he felt like he needed to venture out for a walk. It was an urge that he didn't understand, yet it was something he was trying to not do. Finally, he decided that it couldn't be too bad out.

The wind was strong and blew his heavy mane around, but the cold air seemed to go unnoticed by him. His eyes blue eyes gazed into what was in front of him as he moved slowly. He moved slowly against the wind, keeping his head slightly low so he could see where he was going a bit better. He hoped the storm past soon, he hated to see everyone stuck in caves and see the cubs cold, but snow was great, and this was, in the end, very good.

The hare tsked unpleasantly near his ear, paws resting on his unruly mane as she leaned forward to peer through the snow. Suddenly, she buried herself beneath the fur, shivering. At intervals, she would repeat the process, tsking in annoyance as she allowed the full blast of the wind assault her as she looked around before huddling to gain her warmth back.

"Dear friend, you really shouldn't trouble yourself. What you can't see with your eyes, you'll make up for with your ears." Leli murmured, pausing briefly to raise his head and look side to side. White, white, and more white. Shaking slightly to unsettle the fur off his back, he heard Pisha give a squeak of protest. "Sorry, sorry, dear Pisha." the light lion murmured with a smile, feeling her rearrange herself back in his mane.

"Really, Leli. This is no time for smiles. We must get out of this weather!" The hare's voice lost all lightness, panic easily traceable. Leli frowned, shifting slightly before moving ahead.

He was just about convinced that burying underground for warmth and protection was their only option when his eyes skidded across something. Through the thick white blizzard, the other lion was almost unrecognizable, being that his white mane and front blended so well. However, when the flicker of a darker coat caught Leli's gaze, he squinted. Suddenly, a smile widened. "See, my dear Pisha? We're to be just fine. Have trust in me, my old friend." he cooed, trudging forward in the deep snow. He slowed when coming closer, unsure if the lion was friendly or hostile; all the more, Leli inclined his head, before raising his voice above the howl of the wind. "Good day, good sir! We seem to be lost and nearly frozen to our deaths. You wouldn't happen to know of somewhere we can hole up until this weather clears up, would you?" Leli asked, introductions slipping his mind. Pisha hadn't responded to his earlier remark, making the usual laid-back lion rather worried; he needed to get the hare out of the heavy weather.

By the gods, Urza saw the lion come towards him. He knew there was a reason he came out here, and this must be exactly what it was. "I can help you." He said without a hesitation. The storm was to get worse, he was sure. His mane flew about wildly in the wind and snow as he got closer to them. He wasn't sure what the lion was talking about at first, he only saw him. "Are there more of you somewhere?" he asked, just to be sure.

His first instinct was to get everyone that was with this lion to safety, and out of the cold. He smiled at the male with kindness. "We should get you out of this before it gets too much stronger." He had to yell a tiny bit, as the wind was trying to steal his words before they even reached the other male. His fur had clots of snow clinging to him, and it was becoming much heavier than he wanted to be.

Leli smiled, shuddering slightly. It seemed he was on the right path. His vision had given him the sign that he was. Turning his head slightly, he caught Pisha's eye with the corner of his own and winked, grinning. The poor hare narrowed her eyes in puzzlement, looked up at the stranger, back at Leli. It was obvious when she understood, however; her eyes shot wide open and she let out a surprised squeak before leaning forward eagerly.

Leli had missed these reactions as he as turned his back to the darker lion. Smiling kindly, as though the blizzard wasn't tearing at his mane and threatening to dislodge his friend from his back, he nodded his head. "Oh, yes. Pisha and I travel alone," he replied, wincing at the loudness of his own voice; through the wind, it probably sounded like a murmur to those close by.

Leli nodded, before checking over his should at Pisha. "Dear friend, please tuck yourself firmly beneath my scarf. I would hate for you to blow away without proper farewell," he jested, though a note of seriousness danced across his eyes. He turned towards the other and nodded. "That sounds like an excellent plan. Please, lead the way. I am fairly new to these lands and not so great at maneuvering in blizzards," he said loudly, eyes narrowed so that his eyelashes could catch most of the snow.

Urza nodded at the other, and finally noticed the hare on the other. They had to get out of this fast, the little hare looked like it really needed some rest, and warmth. "Follow me!" He said as he turned and started walking in the direction he had came. His head was down and off to the side to avoid the snow hitting into it. Sometimes it was hard life in this land, but once you got use to it, you didn't notice it.

"It won't be too long, I promise" He said hoping they could hear him. If they couldn't, they'd figure it out soon. He couldn't see their caves, but he knew that if it was day time, and no storm, they'd be visible for all in that area that meant no harm to the sanctuary.

He hopped the blizzard would pass quickly, but only because these two hadn't seen the land without it yet. Or at least, he was sure they hadn't. As deadly as the storms could be, when it was calm, it was beautiful and worth the stay.

Leli followed quickly, eyes trained firmly on the dark lion; if it weren't for that color of coat, Leli was sure he would have trouble. Behind him, he felt Tulizo'pisha begin to tremble and frowned. It would be a while yet before the hare grew out a thicker fur. Until then, he would have to oversee her health. A soft smile danced across his face. Well, it wasn't like he didn't enjoy looking after her.

He heard the male in front of him speak but couldn't make out the words. Leli was sure they were words of assurance and, not wanting to stall or making a hassle out of asking him to repeat himself, simply nodded with a smile. He really did hope the cave was near by.

He didn't necessarily mind the snow; he always had a problem in warm regions and found he would stick to the waters or shade, somewhere cool. Of course, due to his large mane, he was still heated easily. That was why this little treasure of land was nearly irresistible. He thanked the gods for sending him this way, through his visions.

The caves came up quickly, and could be seen by them now. Urza eased up a little, he didn't want to lose the two he just found by trying to rush them faster then they could go. He stopped and turned a bit towards the male and his companion. "Just up a head into those caves!" He said. The blizzard was due to be over by morning, he was sure. They never lasted TOO long this time of year.

"It'll be warm, and there's food" He added. Everyone else was already asleep and warm in their part of the caves. At least, Urza figured. There was nothing to do when a blizzard came, but stay inside and keep safe. Of course, sometimes there was an urge to leave in Urza's bones. Almost like an aching feeling that made him want to walk around. Half the time he found food during a blizzard, on a rare occasion, he found a lost soul that he helped to safety.

Leli blinked as the caves were suddenly in sight; the thickness of the snow had hidden them until just the right distance, making the caves seem as though they appeared out of no where. He heard Tulizo'pisha, who was currently shivering into his mane, sigh in relief. He, himself, slumped his shoulders forward just a bit. They had made it.

"I appreciated your help tremendously," Leli inclined his head, walking towards the mouth of the cave. Pausing, he looked over his shoulder at the hare. She wrinkled her nose in a scowl before patting his head and hopping off, heading into the cave to seek warmth and maybe berries.

Leli lingered behind, determined to address something with the other. "My name's Leli'takata," he introduced, inclining his head. He looked towards the caves; a feeling of rightfulness swept over him and Leli knew that this was going to be his new home. His vision had foretold it, as vague as it was. "I have a request of you... I wish to reside here along with Tulizo'pisha, the hare." he formally asked, sitting just inside the cave entrance to get out of the wind. He hesitated, glancing around, before settling his gaze on the dark haired male. "I... have visions. And it led me here," he said softly, quietly. Rose eyes were down-casted for a bit before he looked up with a jolly smile. "And I assure you, I'm perfectly capable of pulling my own weight. He remarked.

Urza gave him a kind smile. "We can talk about this later, when you're both rested, and comfortable." He was happy to hear that he wanted to stay, but he wanted to make sure that they really wanted to stay first. "I'm Urza,' He said with a nod. It was a curious remark that the male said he had a vision. Another gift that was brought to the pride to help with anything they could.

"When you've well rested, we can sit down and discuss this." He added again. "Welcome to Schnee la Neige'milima."
