Welcome to Gaia! ::

It feels like a ghost town in here. I guess part of me is happy that it's still here, and the memories are still here, despite the absence of life. It's eerie, really. We've all grown up and moved on.

For anyone who comes back at any point, let me tell you what's changed since I joined this guild.

When I joined, I was in the end of the 7th grade, start of the 8th grade of middle school. I was 12 years old, and a pain in the a**. I was afraid of people, socializing, and being rejected and forgotten, and terrified that I would be just another pointless teenager in the grand scheme of things. I spent a good few years on here with my wonderful friends Nibi (Carma) and Vi (.Vindicated.of.Sanity.), took over as the air mistress of the air element, and connected with people in other parts of the globe (thinking mostly of Ritzo and Aquain, but there were others too, I'm sure.) I developed both my reading and writing skills in RPs, learned to be stupid and off topic and that sometimes being stupid and off topic was a good thing. Sure there was drama, and I was a right idiot about a lot of it - but who isn't when they're 15?

I'm 20 now, in my 3rd year of university, studying linguistics. I'm still singing in choirs, and I'm the volunteer coordinator of the local anime convention (whoot, nerddom!). I have amazing friends, a steady (ish) job, and I'm still painfully naive and trusting at times. I've taken up tabletop roleplaying games with the World of Darkness and DnD (Pathfinder, really).

I have Gler, Iko, Nibi, Vi, Devoren, Ritzo, Sumi, and I'm sure a few others on Facebook. I know I don't talk to them frequently, but I see Vi from time to time on the university campus, even though it's rare, and I am still able to at least keep some track of where you've gone with your lives. Iko, congrats on becoming a father! Nibi, I hope I see you while you're back in town. Sumi, I hope your engineering degree is coming along well. Kenny, I'm sorry for being a royal pain in the a**, and though we aren't in touch anymore, I hope you can forgive me for being a total b***h face. Walkies, I'm a keep following you on Tumblr and Twitter, you fantastic fellow~

I miss you all, and while I don't know what all of you are doing with your lives, I like to think that you're all doing fine and wonderful, to be the best you can be. Well what I can tell you is that I'm alive! Lol... Hope that you guys are doin well. I'm 24 now and it's crazy, hoping to buy a home soon, chill out ,and continue to work like crazy. Everything is moving nicely.

Wow it seems wrong that this should be a "Blast from the past" I remember the master's test and how completely power trippy I got on it, man I was all kinds of lame. Had lots of good times in this place... Heck I'm hardly on gaia anymore, video games and anime kind of stole what little free time I find nowadays...

Fire rules!

Woah, all the cool kids showed up, and no-one told me!

I was just reminiscing about the old days, telling my Apartmentmate some anecdotes from my time here, and lo and behold, people have been here in the last couple months!

I'm doing great. I just turned 22, just transferred universities and majors because I was unhappy, and I moved out from home and to a new city with a friend in September. We're having SO much fun with our independence, and we aren't destitute yet, so I'm optimistic. I'm now studying creative writing, psych minor, with a dream of writing for video games, but will accept scriptwriting or novels. I'm employed at a bookstore, and I'm still working the same summer job I was six years ago.

I definitely attribute my time here to my desire to write and create; this was my stomping ground, where I developed and grew as a writer, gleaned what I could from those around me, and got a taste for it. So, thank you all, for helping make me who I am today.

I joined when I was twelve or thirteen or so, and stayed until we dissolved. I remember Extraordinaire, Walk as he went by in those days, accepting me into the fold of the Phantom element, and relinquishing the reigns to me when he moved on. I had so much fun with it, and I still remember it, and all the adventures we had, fondly. In a way, the element will always be a part of me wherever I go.

It has been far too long! I remember I was invited to the Element's Realm by Mizoki an Ice student but soon joined the Fire Realm under Gabe. I also remember always having power trips with my flames, and Gabe punishing me to multitudes of punches to my face. The hurt was real I tell you! Then Gabe started not showing up and Mika and myself were two of the only Fire's left and he passed the reins on to her as the next Fire master. But I do miss all the fun times I had, and all the great experiences I shared with everyone here! I miss all of you guys very much! If we ever should have a reunion we should all just create a thread, a hang out thread, and just roleplay one last time as a whole! <3 Shoji Hakashi! Fire rules!

Hmmm. I have to ask. Now that years have gone by.

How's life treating everyone? We're all in out adult lives now so I'm just wondering. Made any mistakes you want to take back? Any huge successes? Any kids?

I myself have a fair few regrets and no family, though there's still time for that if it's in the deck for me.

Mostly just came on here today to check to see if I could salvage an old piece of writing from long long ago and draw inspiration from it.
