This is your chance to get into one of the epic family lines called the Vitterfolk, otherwise known as the Trolls! To give you an example, this is the family line of the breedings I have saved so far! (I -love- you guys BTW!) I get the feeling I'm still missing one or two so updated tree to come...
The brand new parents in question are Sen'jin, Malis' favored son and leader of the Guardians who protect the Vitterfolk and WillowGlen herds, and Ysiel, lifemate and leader of the messengers of the Vitterfolk herd.

How to get your hands on one of these epic baskets!
Girl - Boy
If you have ever participated in one of my Troll Basket Contests before you will be rather familiar with this. There are three parts, the first is a simple form about yourself and the foal in question. The second is some trivia fun where you can learn about the Vitterfolk and the current events as the foals will be tangled up in them. The last is something creative, be it an RP prompt or some art!
It will not be counted against you if you have never played WoW or you are not a Soquili newbie. The trivia will not be a timed thing, I want everyone to have a chance to find the answers as I figure you will probably learn a little through searching *chuckles* These foals will be raised alongside mine by Se'jin and Ysiel after being rescued from almost being 'walker-fodder so anyone willing to be bait is welcome!

Task no.3: Creativity! The writing pen v.s. the paint brush!
You have a choice between two creative prompts. Either, answer one of the two RP prompts in the character of your foal or draw a sketch/picture of one of the few subjects mentioned below!
Option 1 - Write me a story!
Prompt no.1: There has been a 'walker attack recently and your parents have left you to go investigate. Yourself and your young siblings have been charged to not leave the safety of the inner glen for -no- reason. You can hear faint growls coming closer towards you and your sister is looking worried. What do you do?
Prompt no.2: It's time to make your decision on your path. You are old enough to choose which direction you wish to follow. Do you pick the role of the Messenger like your mother, the rank of Guardian like your father or the path of the Spirits like your grandmother? Or do you feel a calling to something completely different like Dayunsi's green-hoof or Imogen's love on song?
Option 2 - Paint me a picture!
What can I say, I love collecting art! Instead of using one of the RP prompts above, you can opt to sketch out or draw one of these options. Either soquili or humanoid art is acceptable and you can make up the foals if you wish to draw them.
Sen'jin and Ysiel at some point in their life. This could be when they met, with their older children or some other idea concerning them together. Ysiel pregnant or looking over her baskets. Sen'jin could be there too or maybe it's Sen's turn to protect the baskets while Ysiel sends a message. Tuuli, I'mani and the baskets. Tasty tasty baskets... If you don't know already, I'm pregnant in real life. Draw Malis preggy or with a baby, or even with Naz. (For more character info go here.) *If you draw Naz as a horse he would be a 'Suti with glowing paladin wings and resemble his MLP form.

Q. Help! I don't know anything about WoW?! A. That's ok! I just ask a few questions in the trivia section about WoW so you can get a feel for where Malis, and thus her brood, come from. If you can't find it within the resources I posted then try Google.
Q. There is so much work here for a basket! gonk A. Well, the trolls are special to me and there are a decent amount of people who have been trying for one for a long time. I only have a finite amount of baskets to give away so I make the contest have a little leg work to help with the deciding. <3
Q. So-and-so has better ideas than me. A. They might in your opinion but sometimes it's been the oddest things that have helped me pick. Also, I love to see people grow and blossom in their ideas so you may have something hidden within your prompt that will sway me to your side even though you think the idea is silly.
Q. I have my heart set on just one of the baskets and not the other. What if I just want one gender? A. Mention that in your form! If you have a female heavy herd and you only want the male basket it will not hinder your chances one bit. I'd much prefer the baskets to go to someone who -really- wants them.
Q. What's with the art section? A. I like art! especially of my characters. I figured it'd be a nice change for the people who can't really RP a ton but still want to do something fun. That and seeing a pregnant stick-figure would be hilarious in my opinion!
Q. What do you mean by 'the current raid' in WoW? A. I mean the current tier level in the latest patch. There is only one raid in this patch which has 13 bosses. If you have issues with this WoWpedia or MMO-Champion will have the answer.

Part One
Name: StarieMichie Soquili name: Xan'djira (female) Cok'amonjo (male) Tell me a little about their personality: Fiery and foolhardy are the first words that come to mind when describing the young troll. Decisions are often made quickly and based on passion and emotion over any kind of rational thought. How many Soquili do you have now? 19 Why would you like one of the troll family? It's actually one of the Soq families that I've wanted to get into for a long time now. I was hooked when Lolli first introduced me to the shop and I spied Rokhan in her teepee. If you had a Bokbok, what would you call it? Spoiler alert, I want to have a lot of chickens. Raising chickens is on my to do list in life (and sheep and goats). I'm kind of afraid to name anything I plan on eating. xd In Soq though, I do have o0LuvrBoi0o who is bonded to xXPoniGrrlXx. ...But I'm pretty sure my real life chickens would be embarrassed to be called that. Do you play WoW? I have in the past, but only for short spurts. It's not even worth mentioning my low level characters, derp. Any ideas for helping the plot along? I'd really like to have him/her be more aggressive and proactive about stopping the skinwalker attacks. I picture them as young and brash, and totally wanting a straight on confrontation. He/she doesn't see why the herd can just stand by while all these atrocities are happening. Of course, they don't understand anything about defense helping offense, or about planning and preparation, or about biting off more than you can chew.
So the young troll will essentially go out looking for trouble, and of course, have to find out the hard way that it's a really dumb idea to try to take on a skinwalker one on one. Do you like RPing? I like RPing, but am not always the best at finishing them. I will always give it a shot though! Name: Nyx Queen of Darkness Soquili name: Otembe Tell me a little about their personality: (You can answer this twice if the girl and the boy are different.) Otembe is a bit of a quiet foal (going to use "he" even though it's for both genders). He is very thoughtful and likes to think things over before he speaks--often time he over thinks and misses the moment.
It leaves him conflicted since he comes from a line of determined, great leaders. He fears that maybe he just isn't cut out for it.
Other than that, he's very inventive and is keen to learn ways to heal rather than fight for the most part. However, I'd like there to come a time when he has to realize that there is a time to fight and a time for peace and that neither is absolute.

It makes Otembe believe that he is destined to do something great, but he doesn't know what. Maybe there could be a theme of destiny from the saving of the baskets (with all siblings) or possibly some kind of prophecy that the baskets have a role but not which role is for which basket/foal ?

Name: Froggie Doll Soquili name: Maz'keth (for the boy) Oulin (for the girl) Tell me a little about their personality: Maz'keth is a quiet boy, who rather watch and learn of those around him before raising his voice. Therefor, everyone knows very well to listen carefully when he does speak. But he is anything but a loner, and is usually seen in the crowd, listening to others. He's the kind of troll who wouldn't run into an enemy without first making a plan and reconsider it twice. Maz'keth always plans one move ahead and make up scenarios in his head, so that he will always be prepared for what may come.
Oulin is a strange girl who always seem to have her own little ideas for how things should be done. She often runs off on her own to look around for treasure, though her idea of what is and what isn't a treasure seems to differ a bit from the rest. She's full of adventure and longing, and is always one with her surroundings. Often chosen by her peers to scout an area before the others follow, as she moves both quickly and stealthily in the woods. However, she doesn't like wide-open spaces, such as meadows or deserts, where she finds herself completely out of place. How many Soquili do you have now? None, I tend to only try for those which look a bit less like normal horses, as I have a strange sort of horse fobia ^^" Why would you like one of the troll family? I was a weird child who always dreamed about being a troll, so to the point that I hoped I was a changeling xD If you had a Bokbok, what would you call it? Name: Kaliskanny Soquili name: Jin'zakk (taken from named trolls on WoWWikki) Tell me a little about their personality: (I'm hoping for the boy, as I'm getting a girl from Icarus and Tai'jin's breeding.) Much like his parents, Jin'zakk loves to travel and explore the areas around the territories. He looks up to his father, and respects his aptitude in shamanism. Jin'zakk hasn't decided if he will follow in his father's footsteps, but he does enjoy mediating with him mother and training with his father and grandmother. Mostly the young foal loved to hear the stories of the herd, where they came from and the trials they've passed. He thinks maybe that might be a good path to walk, telling the next generation all the tales of the herd and the stories of his explorations. The foal feels he already had the best start with his own story, being saved from a walker when he was still in his basket. While Jin'zakk does not actively seek out any walkers, he is fascinated with them, and wants to grow up strong enough to help keep his family and heard safe from their future attacks. (from Wikipedia) She was a happy troll who liked causing annoyance with windstorms and snow drifts. Though she was not heartless, she seemed more bent on acting on people who were quarrelsome.

12. Voodoo was a stallion that came on too strong with Malis. He won the spot in her tribe she has been vying for, so she left and made her way to the Kawani lands. He met a foal that reminded him of Malis, so he set off to find her.
I don't think Malis will be pleased to see Voodoo, and he may come off with more than a bruised ego.
Task 3, prompt 2:
Finally, the day had come. The ceremony in which Jin'zakk would choose the path he would walk in his adulthood. The young stallion had looked forward to this for a long time. Somewhere in his foalhood, he'd discovered a love of stories. Starting with the tale of his his siblings and himself were rescued from a skinwalker while they were still newborns in their baskets. The betrayal of a family member having been the cause of their danger. As a foal, Jin'zakk could not here this tale enough. He'd began asking his parents about their travels while protecting the herds. He believed there was much to learn from the stories and tales.
Jin'zakk sighed. As much as he'd looked forward to this day, he dreaded it all the same. He'd have to tell his parents and grandmother of his choice. He'd neither walk the path of a protector or a shaman. He hoped they would be understanding of his decision and would not be upset, though it was no secret that Malis had a temper at times. The youth shook his head. No, his grandmother had been more open minded as of late. He knew he could appease them if they didn't approve.
Though he'd decided to become a storyteller for the family and herds, the stallion still intended to help his parents patrol the borders of their borders and continue his lessons from Malis. He could find stories in these, tales to teach the young and next generation of foals. Teaching through storytelling was Jin'zakk's main goal all along. His dream since he was a foal.
It was time to face the music, as he'd heard said before. The ceremony was starting. Jin'zakk made his way toward the gathering of Vitterfollk, toward Malis standing in the center. The stallion stopped before the matriarch and bowed his head in respect. He lifted his eyes to meet hers.
"Grandmother, I've meditated and listened to the spirits. In my heart of hearts I know the path I wish to walk in my adulthood. I wish to become a storyteller and use my tales to teach others," Jin'zakk stated with confidence. He looked to the others gathered around, then back to Malis. He waited for her reply, hoping she would have an answer for his question. "Do I have your blessing?"

Name: Mahogany Sunset Soquili name: Nea'linai (it's unisex-ish and sounds pretty. n.n) How many Soquili do you have now? 11 - Amitola, Calixte, Ilyrana, Lynnea, Tinuviel, Niall, Bedwyr, Kalypso, Kararti, Ithillun, & Sephora Querida. Tell me a little about their personality: [Filling this in later.] Why would you like one of the troll family? Because I've always admired their plots and didn't have a pony that I thought would fit. Pretty much as simple as that. X3 If you had a Bokbok, what would you call it? Duck. (Yes, there's a story behind this. I know a little boy who recently went to Build-a-Bear, got a teddy bear, dressed it up like the Easter bunny, and named it Duck. Hence, Duck. XD ) Do you play WoW? I wish, but no. Any ideas for helping the plot along? Mm... I think the kind of character I have in mind would stick very close to home, and depending on gender, would be extremely admiring of its grandmother and willing to do all kinds of things for her, whether she knows it or not... Which could lead to some more complicated and fun plots down the road. Aside from that, it would also attach itself very closely to others in general, which could lead to complex outside-of-the-family plots as well. Do you like RPing? Love love love rp'ing! Name: Jynk Soquili name: Ji'iro (female) or Krah'ranik (male) Tell me a little about their personality: Female - Ji'iro is very much a warrior and looks up to her father and grandmother. She one day hopes to follow in their hoofsteps and become a Guardian of the herds. Brave and tough, she can sometimes also be willful and overly headstrong. She does not like being told she is wrong about something or being made to look a fool, and can hold a grudge, though never for long. Despite her need to be in control and be an authority figure, she also has a keen sense of humor, letting sarcastic barbs of wit occasionally slip out. Male - Quiet and thoughtful, Krah'ranik feels a connection to the spirits, though has not quite mastered speaking to them. Like his mother, he listens to the wind, feeling he can hear its language, but doesn't understand it. He wants to be a shaman like his father and grandmother, hoping to spend time with his grandmother to learn from her. He is very aware of his surrounding, taking mental notes of goings-on and paying attention to his surroundings. He could fight if necessary, but leans more to the spiritual side of things. Krah also loves to laugh and enjoys the simple pleasures in life, which sometimes makes him come across as a bit of a fool. Often he might catch someone by surprise with his casual attitude when he turns out to know exactly what is going on and proves to be a fierce fighter. Why would you like one of the troll family? I have always loved this family and wanted to be a part of it. I admit I'm a bit intimidated by the great plots, but that is also what draws me to them. I've tried before in basket contests and will keep trying. Trolls were my preferred WoW race when I played and their culture and traditions translates well into the Troll herd here and makes the herd intriguing. If you had a Bokbok, what would you call it? Dinner, I suppose, since it sounds like a chicken. Do you play WoW? (I have played in the past until I couldn't afford to anymore. I miss it sometimes. I don't remember servers or levels exactly, but I have a troll named Jakinda and a blood elf named Virinthas. There's others, but those were the two stand out in my mind. Any ideas for helping the plot along? Do you mean the immediate "walker bait" plot or the overall herd plot? For the overall plot, I'd like the foal to become an active member in the duties of the plot, either as a warrior, protector, or shaman-in-training. For the immediate... the female I had in mind might talk the other two into exploring, feeling she is brave and tough.. and thinking no one would mess with Sen'jin's kids. The boy might hear something and go to investigate, being followed by the other two. Do you like RPing? Love to RP, though can be sometimes slow due to rl job. Always available via AIM or PM to plot, too. Traditionally the Vitterfolk trolls mate for life (or at least with the same partner) are you ok with this? Yes, I prefer having lifemates for my Soqs, anyway. I like seeing the relationships grow and the Soqs go from "dating" to "marriage."

1. They're sister herds that Malis plays a strong role in. She runs the Vitterfolk, but also helped bring the WillowGlen herd together. 2. She helped in fighting some walkers that were attacking. 3. Solemn, I'mani, and Nekali, but I think that I'mani might be doing more lately against them. 4. Ysiel Windsinger from the Cenarion Expedition in the Zangamarsh 5. I'm thinking it is the coming of age spirit quest for foals to find themselves and their path in life. 6. 4 have familiars. Sen'jin's is a bat named Voodoo. 7. The Zandalari are trying to relocate to Pandaria before their island sinks due to damage from the Cataclysm. 8. Vol'Tuuli made a deal with I'mani to trade newly birthed baskets in exchange for her own life. 9. According to Swedish lore, Ysätters-Kajsa is a wind-troll that was believed in by the province of Närke and probably was the only one of her kind in Scandanavia. She was written about in the novel The Wonderful Adventures of Nils by Selma Lagerlöf and was a playful and happy troll, though she did like to cause a lot of annoyances. 10. I believe it is Sen'jin since he is the main protector, but Mairéad does a fair amount of foal-sitting. 11. Thunderking or Throne of Thunder 12. Voodoo is a stallion that got the spot Malis wanted in her original tribe, causing her to decide to leave and find her way to the Kawani lands. He has since met a foal that reminded him of Malis, so now he is on his way to capture the prize he once let get away.
I kind of think he's in for more than he's bargained for if he really thinks he's got a chance with Malis or her offspring. She's liable to leave him with more than a few hoof-shaped bruises on his body and ego.
Task #3 - Mix of Prompt 1 & 2
Krah'ranik turned to face the wind, letting it carry the smells of the Vitterfolk lands to him. His parents had been agitated lately, particularly his father. There was talk of walkers in the area. The young foal did not know what this meant exactly. He knew it was bad, though. He and his sisters had be told to stay near the herd and not stray too far from the adults. What was out there? What had them so scared?
Hearing a noise behind him, he shifted his weight and turned his head to look back, giving a small nod to his sister. He could tell she was worried and curious as well. One day she might be a Guardian like their father; she was brave enough for it and would be a formidable warrior for the herd one day. His own path, however, seemed a mystery.
He was never quite sure what pulled more to him, but he knew he was no fighter. Some days, Krah'ranik felt he might take after his mother and find his place as a Messenger. He loved to run and was already very quick for his age. Being able to come and go as he pleased and travel had appeal to his young mind. There were times like this, though, with danger hanging tensely in the air, that another calling came to the foal.
The spirits almost seemed to whisper to him from all around. He always tried to listen, but could never make out the words. This intrigued him more than any other role in the herd. He knew being a shaman was a high honor and hoped to one day be taught by his grandmother how to be a proper shaman.
Or maybe... just maybe he would follow a completely new path and become a dancer.
He started to chuckle at this thought and turned to tell his sister about his new life-long passion of the dance when he heard a noise from the other side. Craning his head around, he saw a large shape crashing through the brush. A flash of blue and red and white and... wings? His eyes widened as his brain tried to process what this creature was. He didn't have a chance to think long before another large shape barreled into the first.
It was his father! His father had come to protect him and his sister. Following behind Krah'ranik's father was his mother, coming to herd the foals back to safety. He sneaked a last glance back at the fierce battle behind him as he ad his sister were whisked away and thought perhaps, just perhaps, a Guardian wouldn't be so bad for a calling after all.
And because you asked, I prefer the male, but would be ecstatic for either. :3
