Sidonie~ *she sat curled up in her favorite armchair at the shop, near the window basking in the sun as she read her one of her favorite book and laughing softly to herself. Her fur glowed softly in the diffuse lighting and her pet snake, Alistair was curled up about her neck taking advantage of the warmth to snooze looking for all the world like a scarf about her neck*

 Lola: *Lola usually tried to avoid the shop, but today was just one of those days that saw she set foot in it. Of course, her attention was drawn to the noodle who seemed to be lit up in the sunlight, and curiosity got the better of her as she walked over.* It's been a long time since I picked up a book... *nods lightly* Is that one any good?

Sidonie startled slighty, jumping in her seat at the voice. She'd been so intent on her reading she'd not heard anyone approach. She looked at the noodle eyes wide and slightly fearful breathing a litlte hard. At her jolt Alistaire had awoken and he reared back and hissed in soft greeting to the newcome revealing himself to not be a scarf but a snake. Twining up to her ear he softly hissed " The lady asked you a question". Sidonie swallowed and took a deep breath and replied " Oh....ahh...this? " *she turned the book over to show the colorful cover and the title which read " The Color of Magic" " I-its by T-T-T-terry P-P-pratchett. He's a B-british author, comdiean, and amazing." She'd slowly calmed down as she spoke and both her and alistair awaited the noodles response*

"Oh?" She examined the cover closely and offered a soft smile, "I'm afraid I haven't read that one... or even heard of it. Maybe I'll borrow it when you're finished, if you don't mind." She noted the jumpiness of the femme opposite her and did her best not to scare her any more than she'd surely already had.
Her attention shifted to Alistair and she smiled, "Sorry if I'm intruding on your peace, both of you. I'm not one to often be in the shop, so I tend to forget my manners..."

SIdonie offered the lovely femme the treasure of a small smile as she oh-so-politely asked to borrow it. The smile brightened her features significantly and helped slow her heart beat a bit. Picking up on her mood Alistair flicked his forked tongue out and tickled her ear making her giggle the sound like the tinkling of bells. She blushed and looked over at the femme. She opened her mouth to say something but as she did the light caught in the noodles fur and it lit up her contenance making her look like the angelic she was and Sidonie found herself tongue tied. Not sttutering but unable to speak. Alistair flicked a look between Sidonie and the newcomer." Your beauty is Sssssstunning. My Ssssidonie is in awe of you. And your mannerssss are lovely. What may we call the lovely one before ussss?" At his words sidonies eyes got bigger and rounder and she blushed through light carnation pink to crimson as she looked at her compainion in mortification*

The laugh that erupted from Lola's throat was much heavier than Sidonie's, but no less heart-warming and rich. "I'm not used to being complemented, but I thank you. My name is Lola... and I assume the one turning red to which you're entwined is Sidonie, am I correct?" She did her best to hide her smile, but it was inevitable to do anything but smile away. She'd never had someone blush over her, and quite frankly, it was flattering.

Hard to belive it was possible but Sidonies eyes widened more at the sound, her lovely eyes filling her face at Lola's laugh. Alistair flicked his tongue out tasting the air and the fragrance of her happiness. He hissed softly in response to the thanks, bobing his head in acknowledgement. Turning to once more tickle Sidonie's ear causing her to make a small strangled sound and lift her book up to hide her face at the comment refrencing her. Alistair spoke "Yesssss Lola, this is my Sssssidonie. She is quite shy, but that will change. I am Alissstair companion to Ssssidonie. Would you care to join usssss? *He gestured with his tail to a nearby arm chair*

"It would be my pleasure, of course." She purred, easily taking up the chair with a quick flap of her wings and a small leap to her destination. "So, miss Sidonie and familiar, do you come to the shop and read like this often?" Oh, how her small talk was rusty! But she supposed that is what happens when one isn't around company but family for the longest time.

Peeking hesitantly over her book, Sidonie smiled in delight that the offer was taken up as she stared facintatedly from under her lashes blinking softly as the noodle walked through the sunlight and was properly lit up like the angel she was. Sidonies heart skipped a beat and she caught her breath just watching. As Lola settled herself she screwed up her courage and nooded to answer the question asked, and opened her mouth to speak. " H-hello" She winced as she realized that she'd already said that. Alistair hissed a laugh and twined about her neck to move to better see Lola. " assssss I sssssaid, quiet and ssshy though her heart isss in the right place.....my Ssidonine can often be found with her nose in a book wherever sshe isss. Reading isss her life...she could usse someone to pull her out of it" He nodded knowingly as Sidonie squeaked and hid again.

Lola smiled warmly, "If there's anything I could do specifically, I would." She pondered over the idea a moment before jolting up, "That's it! Why don't we throw ourselves a picnic outdoors? The sun is shining and it'll warm everyone up, and I'm sure there's plenty of things we could pack for it in the fridge." Of course, she made no attempt to pressure the other femme into such a decision, after all. It was only polite to offer a suggestion and see if she would like to or not, and that is what Lola would do, being the proper woman she was.
