YES! This is what I desire to know! Does anyone want to be a part of a writer's anthology? Of course, after I get some of you interested in the idea I will set it up in the O.R.R.G.s subforum but I just wanted to advertise and discuss the idea here first. Any subject or story is open to discuss (again, we will do this part later at the O.R.R.G.s) and we can even write several different stories as well! SO! If you have any question at all, ask them here! Hope to write with you soon!

Samuel Grant a writer's "what" confused A collection of stories, I would guess. It could be fun. I mostly post fanfiction online, and although I probably wouldn't want to post most of them here in the guild (the ones from 10K to 300K+), I might toss my name onto a directory. Or review other writers' stories if they ask and I have some time. In another guild, I used to post weekly writing challenges/exercises. But that guild died out and even when it was 'active', I hardly got any participants.

I wasn't the owner and was just helping out by doing that. then some weeks I was too busy, and then it seemed like only a couple of people were checking the guild boards.

Even for fanfiction where I don't know a thing about the fandom! xd I just treat those reviews like checking original works. Just give me a link and I'll try to work it in today, or at least sometime this week. smile

Wow! Looks like things are already underway a bit! Thank you both for posting! Yes! A collection of works would be the right idea. Though I think we could pick a general theme under which to write. Like First Romance stories, War, Science-Fiction etc. This way, if you and others are interested, we could continue to write different anthologies on different subjects! Now, the one theme is just a suggestion. I would like to hear what you are interested in writing about. The stories don't have to be long at all, though there should be a minimal length requirement I don't think a maximum length is really necessary...as long as you are not writing a novel every time! One other idea I had was to have sort of a collaboration. The writers decide on a story and all write a portion of it until the story is complete. In this way, we will be able to see new and interesting takes on the charters and plots as each writer hands the story off to the next writer in line. Tell me what you think! Oh, and Samuel! I will be sure to check out your Deviantart soon! biggrin

Hahaha! Not a fan of the lovey-dovies eh? I can understand that too! Well depending on our writers we could pick several different subjects of story ideas. I don't have very much experience with anthologies but as long as you are showcasing your writing and it adheres to the Gaia TOS, you can write anything you want. I think this is kind of a way to showcase our guild as well. Sort of like a club that produces something fro a cultural festival. Others in the guild will be able to enjoy stories written in the guild by guild members. Pretty neat right? What are your favorite types of stories then, your genres?

What are your favorite types of stories then, your genres? i've done the sci-fi bit. been doing it for about ten stories. 5 adventures in another world stories, 4 omni-gaia series, and Operation W.A.S.P. first two are movie series and the other one is a tv series. all of them in prose form and they're based on favorite movies of mine: matrix trilogy, chronicles of riddick, prince of persia, power rangers, pokemon colosseum, resident evil (video games)

I don't write romance stories either. Well, I'll use romance to develop characters and advance the plot, as well as discuss romantic ideas in the philosophical sense, but not romance genre stories. haha. But sci-fi and fantasy, I'll jump right into those.
Collaborative stories would be fun too. And being in a guild probably means there's less likely of a chance for someone to come in and completely derail the story.
Careful saying there's no max limit around me! xd
