My grandpa died today, and it is even obligatorily raining outside. I'm sad I can't hang out with him again, but glad I got to know him better before he left.

Thanks man. Forever keeping the guy in best memories. Dude had the best out of the blue stories with unexpected sudden downer endings. "You like horses?" "Not really." "Me neither, I once saw a guy walking behind a horse.... and it kicked him square in the head!" "Whoa!" "it killed him too." "oh. D:" "..... yep. Don't like horses."
Just got a box of coins from him, I feel honored to have a bunch of coins he got while in WWII. Found a two cent coin in the mix, oh jeez. *coin collecting and history love going into overload*

Well, that sounds like a good memory. Small things like that really hit home. It's really cool he left behind those coins, too. I wish I got to see off my old gramps.
I never really understood how someone could impact someone else's life in such a small way. The little I remember of him are really good memories... but I am always keeping him close to my heart, too. emotion_c8 Little gestures and things that show people care can go a really long way and that's what I remember of me grandpa.

I'm sorry Toon.
If it's any consolation, my grandpa is probably up there with him hatin' on the horses.

Haven't posted much since I've been busy with stuff. D: The coldolences are appreciated. Doing what I do best and keep on keepin' on, there's no sense in being bummed about things I can't control. I hope that doesn't sound chilly, but you can't change the past or cheat death indefinitely without living in a blue police box in the alternate reality of British television.
@Cherry: And then the guy who got his face kicked in will be like "I hate horses, also." and all will be right in the afterlife. emotion_awesome
@Brase: So many feels. I really ought to take a picture of the coins and label them all soon. Dunno if anyone here would care, but I imagine the coin collectors on reddit would appreciate the fine collection of currency an original badass acquired.

I am not good at not caring. I support ya whatever you decide. smile
