╫Background Information╫ Katelyn grew up with her family in secrecy as the Terumi have been dwindling down to near extinction aside from scattered families. Her family moved to the Hidden Whirlpool Village as it was being rebuilt and welcomed back those clans that have nearly been wiped out from the years of war as its founders the Uzumaki have. Surprising her teachers in the academy paved way to her graduating early with honors as she entered the Chuunin exams and excelled at the requirements and traits that were being looked for and became a Chuunin though she knew she was Jounin material and that something was wrong. She later found out by a secret appointment from the Uzukage that her parents were in fact terrorists to the village as they were influenced by outside sources to chaos havoc within the village to allow another to enter and attack. The Uzukage gave her, her first ever S-Ranked mission, saying that she must eliminate her parents, and in doing so, she would be rewarded with the rank of Jounin as the council decided that it would be the way to receive the rank she achieved.
Upon arriving home, she was immediately attacked by her parents and restrained, taking her downstairs into the basement where they had set up a temporary torture chamber. They bounded her to a chair and attacked her with powerful genjutsu. After a few hours of genjutsu torture, she broke and revealed to them what was planned, left in the basement with a threat that when they return, they will make her beg for death, and then when she does, will kill her. She went up stairs and planned for their attack, but Katelyn had enough power to melt away the binds and escaped, then followed her parents. As they were about to start, Katelyn attacked, melting away her father's arm with lava and kicked her mother in the face to knock her down. She then screamed in frustration that she was going to kill them, not for betraying her and torturing her, but for the sake of the village, as it was all that was left for her to care for as her parents betrayed her. She then lunged at her father, delivering a killer blow as his body dropped to the ground dead. As that happened her mother unleashed a series of binding attacks that got Katelyn, wrapping around her body as bindings were attached to many areas in the surroundings, and with a pull, Katelyn was lifted up into the air, helpless as her chakra was being drained from her body. Her mother started the jutsu and appeared next to her, with a kunai at Katelyn's throat saying that once the jutsu is unleashed, she will slice her throat. She held what chakra she had left and gave a smile to her mom as she spat out the lava at her, killing her and stopping the jutsu. She was still in the bindings, completely exhausted for about an hour before Anbu came and freed her, taking her to the hospital where she woke up several days later, the Uzukage there saying that she did a great job considering it was her parents and told her she was a Jounin.
Now she looks forward to performing her duties as a Jounin to the best of her ability.
