I won't be able to get on to post very often, but I thought it'd be nice if I at least tried to show some support for the guild. Here's my attempt at it.

The slimy sound of a moist past being smashed and ground into a slightly gritty bowl always managed to capture Magalyn's curiosity. The stiffness of the puke green paste mixed with the somehow still herbal smell, despite the numerous amounts of other ingredients the root paste now contained, all mashed together to create a concoction one wouldn't even want to toss into the sewage troughs outside. "Nearly finished," she told the tall man waiting at the front counter. He had come rushing in, begging for some medicine to break his masters' fever. She had guessed that if his master did indeed die, he would be forced into the Warrens. A place no sane person would wish to live. So after having the man describe the rest of his masters' symptoms, she assured him that she could cure whatever illness he was suffering from, and went straight to work. Mixing and grinding different ingredients is definitely not a hard task, but mixing and grinding the right ingredients could definitely use a bit of know how. Two of the ingredients that lay in her bowl right now happened to be extremely poisonous when ingested separately, for example. "Add just under half a teaspoon to his meals a day, and he should be fine in two weeks time or so," she said as she packaged the concoction in a weak looking wood box, wrapped in a thin cloth. "And tell him loosing a bit of that belly never hurt the body nor the mind," she said as she set the bundle down on the counter.

He looked her, a bit puzzled, and asked, "How did you know my Master was."

Mags cut him off with a grin, "most noblemen are fat, good sir. It wouldn't even take a bit of luck for me to assume he was and be right." He looked a mix of amused and flustered. "That'll be..." she trailed off, bringing her finger to her chin, calculating the price of the ingredients. "I'll settle for two silvers."

"Well, if this does what you say and as quick as you say," he dropped the two coins plus one into her waiting palm, "you should charge at least triple that. Of course, that's assuming you keep up that oh so charming wit of yours," he said with a chuckle as he plucked the bag from the counter and walked out, eager to be the obedient little servant his master needed him to be.

Perhaps this little herbs shop would work out, after all.

It was honestly no surprise that little Allayna had taken all day to search for the herbs that the owner of the local herbs shop needed. Holding her book open, the elf peered down at the pictures, her eyes squinting at the leaves as she rapidly looked between the plant that she was currently kneeling in front of and the book. "Almost.. Well, close enough!" She huffed, taking a pair of rusted scissors and snipping at the stem, grabbing the plant and shoving it into her basket. Maybe it wasn't such a good idea to trust the elf, but the woman did it anyways. Why, Allayna had no clue but she wasn't about to complain, it helped her keep her family going. Every little bit she could earn helped, and sure, she was worried about running out of herbs to snag for Magalyn, and she had handled that by trying to grow them herself. It didn't always work, but the elf suspected that the woman knew how to grow the herbs she always sought after.

With a full basket, the blonde haired elf did her best to sprint all the way back to the shop, nearly running into a leaving customer. Giving him a glare, she soon ran inside, dropping the basket on the counter and panting before looking up to Magalyn. "I... I think I got em' all!" She piped up, lifting her head to smile victoriously at the woman. Her pointed ears twitched and she looked around the shop, trying to keep her mind occupied as she waited for the woman to check through the herbs. Of course, some of them were new, and Allayna had absolutely no knowledge on them. The lack of knowledge had caused her to carelessly grab a plant that caused a bit of an itch, the elf scratching away at her arm, not minding the red claw marks that covered the pale white skin. Though itching her arm and looking around couldn't keep her curiosity at bay and soon enough the elf was on her tip toes, trying to peer over the counter. "Did I get them!? Did I!?" She questioned, her bright red eyes falling onto Magalyn. It was an odd birth defect, but Allayna really didn't mind, it just made her more unique.

She blinked as he little helper rushed in the front entrance and plopped a basket onto the counter. She eyed the already growing rash along her arm and sighed. "Settle down, now," she said as she scooted the basket over to one of her stools so she could sit while she sorted through what she was sure to be a number of poisonous herbs. "How does your arm feel?" she asked. And although he smooth features bled disappointment, her green eyes shined a bright wonder. Despite her obvious failure gather herbs, her overwhelming positive energy and optimism was a wash of relief. Relief? "Do you now?" she asked with a smirk. "Oh, I wouldn't be so confident, young one." Mags had taken up addressing the elf as younger for her due to her hyperactive demeanor. She reminded Mags of a child when in reality, the two would probably be closer in age then she might suspect. She did her best to hide a small smile away, and quickly snapped her eyes to the basket.

Peering over the edge, peeking inside, she gasped an exaggerated gasp. Eyes bursting with pity and sorrow and grief, found young Allyayna. Salty tears welled up as she choked back a knot in her throat. "Dear... that rash..." a sob rushed up her throat as she spoke. Something was obviously wrong, probably something along the lines of incurable contact poison. Slender hands moved to cover her mouth and nose, an obvious sign of concern, "I'm sorry." She turned her back to the young elf, struggling to hold her composure. For agonizing moments, she forced herself not to giggle, that'll teach her to settle for 'good enough.'

Arm? Turning to look at her arm as it was mentioned, she looked to the bumps and the scratches before looking back to Magalyn. "Itchy itchy itchy! Really itchy." Allayna replied, giving a smile. No matter what was going on, she was happy, even if she was scratching the hell out of her arm. It wasn't really painful, though she rose a brow as the woman tried to say she hadn't gathered the right ones. "Uh huh! Yes I ddiiiiddd! You told me to gather these ones!" She cried out, running around to where the woman was and setting the book down, sloppily flipping through it to point to marked pages and circled plants. Nearly everything was marked or circled, which may explain why the elf had grabbed the worst plants and herbs possible.

She didn't mind that she had grabbed the wrong ones, and she placed a finger to her lips thoughtfully, only tilting her head at the sound of sorrow from her employer. Something was wrong? Maybe it had to do with her itchies? Tilting her head to look at them again, she smiled almost fondly before itching a little bit more. It didn't bother her, so long as it wasn't painful and she looked to the basket, none of those plants should go to waste. "We can use em' to get that big mean ogre back! Remember how he smashed your pots? Well, we can make him some special toilet paper." She suggested, tilting her head and coming closer to peer at the plants. Which ones she should have grabbed, she wasn't even sure, she had just did her best to grab everything that she had circled.

Mags sighed, the girl had obviously misunderstood her fraud. Or maybe she was just a horrible actress? Ether way, Allaynas' obliviousness was almost depressing. "Yes yes, maybe later," she shook her head. "Sit down so I can take care of that rash," she patted a stool and carefully went through the basket that Allayna had brought in. "If you had gathered the ones on the list, you wouldn't have a big rash on your arm," she said as she tossed what looked like a weed into the trash can, and probably the cause to said rash. Quickly gathering a bowl and a few herbs from her shelves, she began mixing and smashing and stirring until a smelly paste was left at the bottom of the bowl. Extra stinky, just because. "Now hold still," she instructed as she smeared the cold paste across Allaynas' arm. Cool and relieving, almost like a Icyhot commerci-- I mean, what's that?

She grinned at Allayna as she inhaled, underplaying the horrid smell. Through all her excited hyperness, Allayna came off quite cute to Mags. But by the Gods, did she suck the energy out of her. Magalyn would sleep well tonight. "I told you Duke Drake isn't as mean as you think," she said as she went to rinse her mixing bowl out. "He's just set in his ways, that's all. But enough about all that, why don't you go get us a drink? Maybe some tea?" Yes, tea sounded delicious. Setting a small bell on the front counter, in case a customer came by while they were in the other room, and strolled into the back room. "You didn't cause any trouble while you were out gathering, did you?" she asked, half accusing, as she sat down in her favorite chair.

It seemed as if Mags was upset with her, but as long as she wasn't being yelled at or hit, she really didn't mind it. The woman told her to sit and of course the elf listened though she kept bouncing around, struggling to stay still as she watched the woman examine her handiwork. Of course she was treating it and as soon as the smelly paste was rubbed onto her skin, the elf wrinkled her nose and pouted to the woman. "This stuff is stinky, but my itchies are gone!" She piped up with that same smile. She didn't enjoy the smell but it had cooled off the rash, making it even more bearable than before. Some of the plants had been thrown out and she gave a pout as she watched them be tossed away into the trashcan.

"But! He's a big meanie face! He really needs to be taught a lesson!" Allayna whined, pouting over at Magalyn. It was rare for her to dislike anyone, and it was even more rare for her to hold a grudge. She wasn't happy with what the man had done in the past, and she was determined to make him pay for the crimes he had committed against her employer. Though she was asked to get some tea, an even worse idea than her gathering herbs but it wasn't like it bothered the elf as she jumped out of her seat and scurried off to the kitchen excitedly.

"Who told on me?! I didn't mean to go through Mister Cole's garden again.. It was an accident! He keeps making gardens everywhere." She whined, pouting to Magalyn before starting to go through the cabinets in search for her favorite cups. If someone had asked the crazy little elf to grab them a cup of tea before, cups would have been flying everywhere, not to mention the mess she would make with the tea. Grabbing two mugs, she ran over to the kettle happily, sloppily pouring tea and watching some of it hit the floor. Whoops. Ignoring her mess, Allayna ran back over to Magalyn, not seeming to notice the splotches of tea that covered the floor.

She couldn't help but follow each splash as tea flung left and right from each mug. Did she really mind? Of course not. Was she going to clean it up? She laughed inwardly to herself, hell no. Would she make Allayna clean it up? She sighed, deciding that it would probably be best to clean it herself later. "On secodn thought," she plucked both mugs of tea from Allaynas' hands, "maybe it'd be best if you stayed off the caffeine for a bit, hm?" She smiled and sipped on one of the cups. "Sometimes I wonder how you keep all that energy of yours." She patted the cushion next to her and set the mugs down on the opposite side of her. "Careful not to use it all up, maybe it'll all come in handy one day."

"Yes, he can be a big meanie face," she grinned at her, enjoying her vocabulary. "But it's not my place to serve justice, he'll get what's due soon enough." She couldn't help but chuckle as Allayna confessed to digging up yet another garden. "You just told on you," she laughed, jabbing a finger against Allaynas' forehead. "We'll replant it tomorrow, and you'll apologize again, right?" she said, more telling than asking. "You'll just have to be more careful from now on."

Finally making it over to Magalyn, she was just about to set the half empty mugs down when they were taken from her. Pouting as she realized that she wasn't being allowed to have her tea, the elf shook her head, her bottom lip jutted out. Oh, she wasn't happy at all! She just loved the tea, and she crossed her arms over her chest, giving Magalyn a falsely innocent look. "B-but Maggie! I'm calmmm! I wants the tea! I poured it! So it's mine!" She huffed, staring up at her with a pout. Allayna didn't know when to stop, so that meant the other had to deal with her until she either had to give in, or put up with the elf's whining and pleading. Throwing herself down next to Magalyn, she once again tried to reach over the woman, desperately trying to get to her precious tea.

"Nuh uh! It's so much better if we do it! You seeeee~! Reveeeenggeee!" Allayna squealed, her eyes widening as she realized she had tattle taled on herself. "B-but! NO! It's his fault for planting so many gardens and plants!" She huffed, crossing her arms over her chest and then looking to Magalyn with that same pout. "I'm not doing anything for him! He doesn't give me shinies." She grumbled, starting to go into a darker mood before smiling at the thought of her precious shinies. "I bought a yummy bread with the shinies from last week!" She piped up, turning to Magalyn excitedly. "It was so yummy! So sweet.. It had a brown swirlie!" She giggled, trying to "draw" the swirly with her finger in mid-air.

The tiny man known as Tip Lasttree skipped along down the street. He was only 3'9'' in height, with slightly pointed ears and curly, shaggy hair of a grass green color. He was dressed in his usual attire of a long-sleeved green shirt and brown pants, clothes that would blend in with the forest where he spent most of his time. A satchel bounced along on his shoulder, and a little dagger was strapped to his hip. His leather shoes tapped lightly on the ground with his steps, and his dark brown eyes scanned the area around him. It was rare for him to emerge from the forest and come into town, but he was on serious business today. This could not be guessed by looking at him though, for his eyes were alight with wonder, a small smile graced his lips, and he continued to skip merrily.

He found what he was looking for when he came upon an herb shop. Yes, this might do just fine! He entered the shop, but did not see anyone right away. He approached the counter but could not see over the top to notice the bell that had been set out. That was all right, he was in no hurry. Well, all right, yes he was. Well, kinda. But did it matter? He would get there when he got there. He could have run all the way here and made better time, but since when did hurrying do anybody good? Far more good would be done by him keeping a pleasant opinion of the world. Things just seemed to work out for optimists.

He stepped away from the counter so that he could be seen better, and just looked around for the moment, soaking in the environment of the shop. Then he decided to announce his presence. "Good day! Is there anybody here? I don't mean to be a bother, but you may be unaware that you have a customer!" He said. While he waited, he began to hum and whistle quietly to himself, rocking back and forth on his feet as he continued to admire the building.

Crawling across Magalyn's lap to get to her precious tea, she squealed as the warm liquid spilled across her arm, and again, onto the floor. Not at all minding the fact that she was clambering all over the only person who really seemed to tolerate her, the elf noisily slurped at the beverage, her eyes big as she took in the familiar taste. "Is this tea old? It tastes the same as always!" She exclaimed, turning to look at the woman suspiciously. Just as she was about to start the daily interrogation, the bell went off and she hopped off of her lap, soon running to the front, tea splashing everywhere.

Tilting her head at the unfamiliar customer, she frowned thoughtfully. "MAAGGGSS!" She yelled, deciding that the woman hadn't heard the bell ring. Green and brown, did that mean he was one of those scary forest people that always saw her but never let her return the favor? He seemed happy though, so maybe he wasn't all that scary. Carelessly dropping her mug of tea onto the counter, she ran around to meet Tip properly, holding out a tea-covered hand. "Hi! I'm Allayna! And Mags will be with you shortly!" She piped up, bouncing in place as she waited for him to shake her hand, it was a polite habit, after all. She didn't mind the tea that covered her hand, and chances were she wasn't about to wipe it off for this stranger.

Tip thought he heard a squeal from somewhere in the back, and he stopped humming and rocking and just tilted his head to listen. Soon, a girl with long, light hair and red eyes came from somewhere in the back. She had a mug of something in her hand, and was splashing it all over the place. Tip raised an eyebrow at the girl, who only continued to act carelessly by dropping the mug on the counter. She came around and offered her hand, which was covered in the liquid. Tip could tell that it was tea from the scent in the air. He smiled at the excitable girl as she introduced herself as Allayna and said that "Mags", presumably the shop keeper, would be here shortly. Tip took the girl's hand without hesitation, not bothered by the tea as he shook her hand. "Hello there, fair lady! My name is Tip Lasttree. I do hope I'm not interrupting anything! Do you need a hand in cleaning that up?" He motioned with his head toward the mug on the counter and the puddles of tea everywhere, wondering why the girl would be running around spilling tea everywhere. Was she just so hyper that she could not control it, or was it no big deal? In any case, it was certainly odd behavior, but it bothered him none.

Looking over the guest, Allayna was quite a bit surprised when he rather bravely shook her tea-covered hand. Of course, this earned a few giggles from her, the elf finding it funny for some unknown reason. As he offered to help clean it up, she looked slowly from him, and then back to the mess before shaking her head. "No! The floor likes it! Makes it smell pretty!" She exclaimed, almost looking offended at the fact that he wanted to clean up the mess she had made. Normally one would be happy for the help but Allayna came from her own little world where messes were normal. When Mags was taking longer than usual, the elf gave a frown back to where she had previously been sitting with the woman, her eyes narrowing.

Maybe she could do this herself! Turning to face Tip, she gave a big grin before grabbing one of Mag's books.. "Well, Mags is being slower than usual, and you look like you're supposed to be somewhere! What can we help you with?" And now, if he hadn't realized that it wasn't safe to let Allayna handle anything, he was bound to find out, the elf happily smiling as she waited with the order book.

Tip smiled at the girl in response to her giggling. She seemed like a pleasant, happy young woman, if not a little reckless, but ah, sometimes one just had to live a little. He tilted his head curiously when Allayna refused his offer to clean up the floor, saying that it makes it smell pretty. "Well all right, nothing wrong with that I suppose." Just as long as it was fine with the owner of the shop, but that was none of his business right now. They could work all of that out on their own. Speaking of the owner, she seemed to be taking her time to appear.

The girl acknowledged this and took it upon herself to help Tip out. She should be capable of helping; After all, she did work here, and so Tip did not give it a second thought. "Ah, yes! You see, the deer herd that I'm in charge of has become infected with some kind of illness. Many of the fawns are weak and sick, and I fear that they might not make it for much longer! I was hoping I could find something here that would help to fight off the infection. Um, I'm afraid I don't know what the illness is, but they develop white crusty rashes on their undersides, and they begin to wheeze and have trouble breathing."

Doing her best to prepare herself for the order that Tip was to make, the elf gave a soft huff with her thoughts on what to do. She often messed up orders but he was in a hurry, it seemed or she had just figured that he was in a hurry. Mags was taking too long and she didn't want her friend's shop to gain a bad reputation because their customers were having to wait. When he announced his problem, she gave a nod, her brow furrowing. Surprisingly, she knew what this illness was and just how to cure it as well as preventing it from happening again. Before she had come to work for Mags, Allayna had worked with a farmer in a different town and he had managed to teach her a lot. Not only was she working with plants but she was working with things she adored - animals. "Ah? The crusties! I know what those are! I'll get some treaties up and ready then I'll come help with the baby deer! I can also get rid of the bad planties!" Allayna exclaimed excitedly. Even if the animals were hurt and not feeling well, she was still excited at the thought that she may have the chance to see animals.

This was one of the times in which Mags would have been proud of her, as right now she was being professional. Giving a small nod to Tip, the elf walked away from the counter to a pot of ground up herbs, scooping out a handful before going to grab a bit of water. Just as she was grabbing the supplies to take the paste with her, she paused before looking to the man that she was tending to. "How many deer do you have? How many of them are sick?" She questioned, starting to get supplies ready. The last thing they needed was Allayna not making enough medicine to cure them all. Even if she didn't understand a lot of things, she knew that loss of a herd of animals was not a good thing and she was going to do her best to help Tip keep his deer alive.

For once, she was serious and calm, entirely focused on making sure she would have enough of the paste that would heal the deer. Though she couldn't make the paste until she was onsite as it dried rather quickly and she wanted to apply it very quickly to make sure it sucked the infection from the deer. And then there would come the task of removing the dangerous plant that caused the rashes. Just as Tip had suspected, the rash was fatal if not treated well but he hadn't given her much reason to think it had gotten as bad as it could. They would be weak at first but then after a few days of going without treatment, the rash would spread and they wouldn't be able to keep anything down and would show signs of dehydration and lack of nutrition as the rash absorbed any nutrition from anything they were able to eat. And then finally, death. It was a nasty show but Allayna was sure they had caught it in time and she was putting the powder into a pouch as she waited, having the water in it's own canteen.
