Sure, he'd gone on unexplained absence for more than six months, disappearing in the middle of a huge project with all his code entirely un-commented. Sure, he'd never been that great of an employee anyway, getting distracted and putting everything off until the last minute instead of working steadily until his deadline. Sure, he'd gotten called into HR four or five times when people complained about his language, and in two of those meetings, he'd even cursed at the HR manager.

Sure, it was well-deserved and totally reasonable, but that didn't mean Veer had to be happy about losing his job.

And he certainly didn't have to be mature about it.

So, late at night, he stood outside of his old office building [in uniform, transparent feathers caught by the wind] and contemplated the best way to make his displeasure known -- anonymously, of course. He narrowed his eyes, taking in the window that had been his boss's [Veer had never had a window] and trying to remember if there was a mirror inside, trying to decide if he could fit in through the bathroom, trying to remember how many security guards were on duty.

In other words, Al-Janah stood out on the street, completely unguarded, thoroughly distracted, frowning and not thinking at all about the side of Order.

The sound of her high heels, sounded like gunshots in her ears as she approached him. It seemed strange for a moment that he didn’t seem to be minding her presence. She was eternal after all, and not conspicuous.

“Pardon me for saying so.” She said with a dangerously soothing tone. “But you have a distinctly ‘up to no good’ expression.” She smoothed her hands over her skirts “Want to tell me what you’re up to?” She blinked, a sly look of shaded blood red eyes.

Al-Janah jumped, an almost comic jump, at the sound of the voice behind him, the sensation of Order like a cold hand up his spine. Or, well, a warm and comforting one, but one he didn't want. His head whipped around with force to focus on the girl's face and his eyes drank her in: down and then up, lingering on some of the more important features before settling on her face again.

His own features slowly resolved into confusion, a frown, fumbling to put two and two together. To him, she didn't look -- well. She didn't look like other Senshi. She looked dark. It didn't reconcile with that order feeling --

"No good." His mouth, though, went off on its own, without thought. As always. "Obviously."

“Well, some people would say that goes with the territory, what kind of no good are we talking here?” She asked and moved from side to side, maybe a little as though she were showcasing. The long sweep of her skirt as it tagged about her ankles in the back, barely brushing her thighs in the front. The boots covered more than a fair bit of what the skirt didn’t.

“Dark Moon Court, right?” She asked, glancing you over with a small mockery of the way you had looked at her. “But… were you one of the originals?” she asked. “Or not… were you there when they were blood moon court?”

"No clue what you're talking about." It came with a sigh, his chin tipped up and posture shifting slightly, slowly. A year, and now Al-Janah at least knew to stand on the balls of his feet, and the right muscles bunched in preparation -- just in case the girl came at him. Or, perhaps, he was considering coming at her. After all, she was an Eternal, but he was a Super now, no longer a waffling, confused newbie --

"--unless you mean the sorority you had going on before all the mirrors came around." So. He had heard something, at least, rolling a hand on his wrist, testing.

“We didn’t… I was never part of the Blood moon court, do you know much about the history?” She asked and eyed his wrist speculatively.

“I’m not attacking if you don’t.” she said and offered a humorless smile. “Your call though, I just want to know more about what you are…now. I know what you were, the good and the bad. As much as anyone but the people who were part of it I suppose. But I’d like to know more about the now, the…. mirrors.”

“Maybe I’ll even step back and watch you do whatever property damage you have in mind, since I think it’s a little late for anyone to –actually- be in there.”

Al-Janah thought about that, eyes narrowed, his head cocked and fingers strumming against his elbows while he considered her. She was more powerful than him, sure, but there was nothing new about that. He'd had the s**t beaten out of him by worse.

"....how about I bust some s**t up, and then we can fight after? It's just, I don't want to leave it undone." There was a smile, sudden, his teeth white in his face. "Important work."

“Oh I’m sure, but how do I know you’ll come back?” She folded her arms and tipped her head one-way and then the other. She bit at her lower lip and sighed quietly. “Mmm… fine, I give you… 3 minutes, then you either check in or I chase you down, if I don’t –find- you then next time I do, the first thing that I do will be to open with a blood whip, you won’t like it.” She promised.

“Deal?”

It got a pause, a blink, his eyes settling on her again -- and then, slowly, he grinned, a please grin. Entertained, certainly. And why the hell wouldn't he come back to that?

In an exaggerated sort of way, he tapped a finger against his chin like he was thinking about it, his eyebrows raised, and debated the pros and cons of offering a hand to shake on it. Honestly, probably not that wise of a choice, if this turned out to be some kind of clever trap.

"I think I can manage that. Three minutes. Hrm." He looked upward, thinking about it. His head tilted to the side. "I might need five. But whatever. You can chase me any time, sweetheart."

“I’ll be waiting!” She said and smiled, giving a little wave with her fingertips. She moved back and forth as she waited, listening, waiting, trying to make sure that she didn’t feel him disappear entirely, or worse… that he’d bring company.

Bored, five minutes took forever when you were waiting.

Three minutes, and there'd be clatters from the floor he'd been looking at -- Al-Janah finding his way through a mirror into the mensroom and taking advantage of the access to put his foot through a few monitors and beat the s**t out of a couple towers. They were a tech company, which meant that they had spares on call, but that wasn't the point. The point was the anger.

That and turning off all the servers. Phones were about to start ringing off the hook at the poor company.

Five minutes, and still no sign of him -- mostly. Eventually, he'd appear on the roof, squinting down at her and flipping her a rather distinctive hand sign. One that was an insult and a challenge both.

If she wanted him, she could come up and get him.

“Ugh…CHEEP!” She yelled up to him and took a running start towards the wall. It couldn’t properly be called anything as visually awesome as free running, but she made it up with a fair amount of grace for someone in high heels and a tapered skirt.

Her hand squeezed the brooch that was pinned over a rather marvelous view of her dipping corset when she landed.
“Maybe I should have added warnings about running away.” She said and gave him a perky smile, cocking her head to one side as she stood, prepared to chase.

He looked, definitely: leaning in just a little to take advantage of the view, his own fingers strumming against his mouth. As she straightened, so did Al-Janah, leaning back as if they were connected, and smiling at her in a shameless sort of way.

"...but I'm really good at running away." Not that he'd run yet, of course; he was still standing there, peering back at her, light on the balls of his feet. Not running toward her, either.

"I seem built for it."

“Well… since you keep checking, what do you think I’m built for, running boy?” She teased, flashing just a bit of leg as she swatted idly at her skirt, or perhaps not so idly because as he watched, she called forth another enchantment, a warning, Bad blood Ribbons she called it, but it looked an awful lot like a wire made of blood. Odd attacks, but then…really what WERE you going to get when your sphere was blood?

“If you do run, you’ll probably learn my final attack, I think you won’t like it.” She promised. “I just want to know more about the Dark Moon, is that so bad?”

"Not bad, just boring." He tilted his head, looking her over -- and his expression made it very clear exactly what he thought she was built for, yes. He didn't even have to say it, just lift his own eyes back onto her face again with a bright note of amusement. Of course, it was all talk, no action. He knew better than to actually fraternize with the enemy.

"Anyway, can't we do both?" Absently, he gestured upward with two fingers: not calling his own attack, yet, just thinking about it.
