He didn't patrol often, and this was probably mostly to do with fear -- fear that had been thoroughly ingrained in him by more than one Negaverse agent, over the past almost-year. Where other senshi felt the pull, needing to take action, where they had been drawn fully into the fight, Sisyphus had mostly managed to dance outside of it. He learned, a bit, from a certain page and a certain cat; he stepped out, maybe once a week, to have a look from the rooftops, generally working to avoid the blips on the horizon that meant chaos.

He never thought of himself as a 'do-er', and yet. In recent days, he'd started to find himself restless. Had stepped in on a battle, and it had kindled something in him.

So, tonight he patrolled: stepping out onto the streets in his [somewhat ridiculous, but somewhat stylish] uniform and hunting. Not for trouble, but for...for heroics.

He found it in the form of a young man, slumped over in a park bench, with the retreating sensation of Chaos. His skin was pale, clammy, and his expression drawn. Sisyphus settled in near him, hesitant, and gently pulled up one eyelid.

A flutter, but then he just groaned. Drained. The Dark Moon Court had been there.

By the time Asclepius arrived, the feeling of dark energy was gone. No real bother to her - taking another enemy out of commission for a while would have been nice, but she was also just as relieved that there was not combat required for the moment. She had some nasty bruises from an unfriendly encounter the week before that some people at work had asked her about; largely harmless, but awkward.

She surveyed the park from atop a building nearby, and, feeling only another senshi there for the moment, hopped down to arrive on the scene on foot.

Heels clicking as she approached down the sidewalk, the Senshi of Medicine reached up to unsling her small white backpack down from her shoulder, then quickened her pace as she saw someone unfamiliar but giving off the friendly energy signature hovering over a civilian slumped into a bench.

"Is he okay?" she asked as she drew close. "Did you see what happened?" There would be time for introductions once Asclepius could be certain the unfortunate young man would not die on them.

Really, Sisyphus should have felt the approach of a friendly aura, should have heard the footsteps, sandals against asphalt. Had Laoise been there, she would have growled at him, and as he snapped upright and turned to face the approaching girl, he could almost hear her voice in his head:

Had it been the Negaverse, you'd be dead, stupid child.

Honestly, he was starting to wonder if the Negaverse actually wanted to kill him, all things considered. Sure, they bullied and bruised him, chased him and hurt him, but none of them actually seemed hell-bent on murder. Not yet, anyway.

There was time yet.

Staring at Asclepius, though, he stood -- mouth opening and closing -- as he tried to figure out how to reply. When he did, it was stuttery, awkward. Young.

"...th-there was someone...I missed what happened..." A gesture toward the unconscious man which meant absolutely nothing, a slight twitch of his fingers. "...won't wake up..."

"Let me see him," she said as she stepped to tend to him, her words for the other senshi short but not unfriendly. The Senshi of Medicine's first priority was to make sure that this poor civilian would be alright. It was a good start that he was not bleeding everywhere, and, after a quick survey of his vital signs, Asclepius arrived at the same conclusion that the unfamiliar senshi had.

"Do you know how long ago this happened?" she then asked, looking around the area again though she still thankfully felt no chaos close by. Energy drain was not something any normal medicine could fix; the brown-haired girl set her small backpack down beside the bench for the time being, and extended her hand in introduction. "Sorry, I wanted to be sure he wasn't in any danger first. I'm Asclepius, Senshi of Medicine."

"...Sisyphus." He didn't offer his sphere as he took her hand, slow, awkward. 'Futility' wasn't the sort of thing he wanted to advertise, not really. His eyes flicked sideways to the young man at his feet and then he turned away from her to look after the retreating Chaos signature, licking the corner of his mouth. Awkward. Fumbling. Young. And, of course, new.

"It can't have been long." Not that he sounded confident about it, heavy eyebrows knitting together as he though about it. "That is. I mean. They were here. I think. And then they were done, and I stepped in."

As soon as that was out of his mouth, he flushed, looking up at her. "I mean, I got here. They were gone, but not long gone."

One brow quirked when he offered a name but no sphere, but Asclepius did not inquire further. Perhaps he would tell her later. "New?" she asked.

Then she turned her head off in the direction of the retreating energy signature before shrugging. "Sorry, not judging or anything. Not too much point in chasing after whoever it was who did this. I suspect we'll run into him or her again eventually."

The Senshi of Medicine put her hands on her hips and looked down at the civilian. "If it were daytime, I'd just sort of let him recover here, but I worry that if we left him here, he would get mugged or something." She pressed her palms together and called out, "Eucracia Remedy!", and conjured a small crystalline-looking dish filled with gently steaming, herbal-smelling medicine.

Honestly, Sisyphus wasn't even that new; he'd been working at this quite a few months, albeit fumblingly, and was still trying to sort out what his place was, his role in a group. The key was probably the 'group' part. On his own, he wasn't much, his power only useful against the least competent of Negaverse agents, and even then --

Well. Hers was impressive, and made him color a bit, frustrated both with his lot in life and with his own fear of stepping out to be what use he could be. Obviously, he should have jumped in well before the poor man was left alone, helped him before it got to that point.

"...that's amazing." It came out carefully, honestly, his eyes rising back up to her face. "How many times can you do that? And how much good does it do?"

"It'll do more than enough good for him, I think, since he doesn't appear to be one of us," Asclepius replied, dipping two fingers into the medicine. "But for you, or any other senshi, downing the whole dish will let you use your power again."

She moved to touch her fingers gingerly to the civilian's lips. A tiny bit of energy, just to ensure he would wake up soon and get himself to safety. The super senshi was not entirely sure what actually would happen if she gave a normal human a whole dish, but of course she was not about to try it out.

"And honestly," she continued, after thinking a moment, "I haven't hit any limit yet, but I'm sure there is one. I guess I don't really want to find out."

The Senshi of Medicine looked down at the dish in her hand, wondering what to do with the rest of it, then glanced back to Sisyphus. "What does your power do?

Sisyphus watched in a curious, bright-eyed sort of way: his head cocked to the side, and strands of fine blond hair cutting into his eyes. He was shaggy, right now. Needed a trim, a cleanup. Couldn't quite afford it. He'd dipped a bit too deep into the used clothing bins...

"Take out their weapons and put them away again." It came out slow, mumbly, as he scratched at the side of his face -- maybe a bit embarrassed. It was so useless. He flicked a look up at her. "It has to get better than that, right?"

She laughed a little as she leaned down to pick up her small white backpack, and slung it over one shoulder. "Take them out and put them away?" she repeated. "Sounds like a better distraction than mine. I can throw this stuff at them-" the Senshi of Medicine nodded to the dish in her other hand "- but it just kind of makes them damp."

Asclepius glanced to the dish again, then offered it to Sisyphus with a small shrug. "If you've not used your power at all today, it won't do anything for you, but if you're curious how it tastes, be my guest. Doesn't look like I'll be using the rest of it right now, and it's kind of hard to do the building hopping thing while I'm carrying it."

Talking of building-hopping made Sisyphus shudder just a little, memories of Laoise's first lessons leaving him blurry as he took the dish out of her hands. For a moment, he just held it, licking his lips and considering, but then...well. What the hell. He took a small sip, and then a slightly larger one, because it was actually kind of nice. Even if it did absolutely nothing to him....

"...what should we do with. Uh." He gestured with the dish as he spoke, sloshing a bit of water on the poor drained civilian, and then his eyes flashed up to her face. "Just leave him? Or take him somewhere?"

Asclepius watched with veiled amusement as he drank the medicine, curious about his reaction. Different people had found the taste agreeable or disagreeable, and she was fairly certain that the medicine was not even necessarily the same each time she conjured it.

She glanced down at the young man slumped on the bench, taking a step back as he stirred slightly, now seeming more asleep than unconscious. It was difficult to tell in the low light between lamp posts, but his skin color looked a bit healthier now, too.

"We probably shouldn't be here when he wakes up, just because a lot of civilians aren't exactly fans of us senshi. Don't want him to think it was us who assaulted him." The white-gowned senshi brought a hand to her mouth to chew thoughtfully on a hangnail for a moment, then continued. "Much as I would love to get a report from him about his attacker if he saw whomever it was, he's probably been through enough tonight. He doesn't look like he needs to go to the hospital, so maybe just for now, we can leave him here, and watch from nearby to make sure no one else tries to make his evening any worse."

She looked to Sisyphus. "What do you think?"

He hummed his agreement, and then offered the dish back to her, cupped in both hands so that he absolutely positively would not drop him. It had been bitter, yes, but to be fair, Sisyphus drank quite a lot of coffee; bitter didn't really bother him. Bitter was just fine.

His attention slipped away to their surroundings, and he nodded toward an alley, not too far away. "Um. We probably won't be able to see him, but maybe we could...could climb up and watch from the roof or something?"

Everything he said sounded hesitant. Looking for confirmation. He shrugged back at her.

She took the dish back with a more casual care, and then dismissed it back to ... where ever magic things went when they were not being used, like her pen and her senshi phone.

"Oh," she exclaimed softly, recalling her phone and summoning that to her hand instead. "Roof sounds good," Asclepius added in agreement. "And then I can scan you into my contacts, so I can get back in touch with you. Or you with me."

The girl stood for a moment, watching him, then decided to just go ahead and go back to taking charge at his shrug. Gesturing to the closest roof with her little magic flip-phone, she specified, "That one." Then, slipping both arms through the straps on her first aid kit backpack, the Senshi of Medicine started towards it at a brisk walk, glancing back to be sure he'd follow.

Sisyphus blinked down at her phone -- and then, finally, smiled, trailing after her as she started toward the fire escape upward. This was, in fact, one of his most useful encounters in uniform. A girl, a friendly face, and above all else, someone who actually knew how to mend injuries. All of these appealed. Information worth having.
