Thinking of character names can be really fun for some of us, but for those who think otherwise, here's a protip: don't over-think it. The name of a character is meant to define the character for the rest of his/her/its roleplaying life, so make sure that his/her/its name is something you can pronounce, remember, and love. Never EVER think that the complexity of your character's name will show your sophistication— be an individual, but don't try too hard, sweetie. It's pathetic. ❥ ＡＧＥIn the Reverie Academy, the age of the character doesn't really matter that much. Whether it's a child genius or a thousand-year old vampire— come one, come all!❥ ＧＥＮＤＥＲNo restrictions for this. Meaning: there are more than two genders. wink ❥ ＳＥＸＵＡＬ ♥ ＯＲＩＥＮＴＡＴＩＯＮThis refers to your character's sexual preference (what they are most likely to be sexually attracted to). I'm an Android , and I stand around 6 feet and weigh around 54 kilograms.
Expect me to be very fond of living things. I am very cheerful and loyal no matter what your motives are, and have a can-do attitude. On the downside, I am also very naive and gullible, and will believe anything that is relayed to me— a trait which may become dangerous when the time comes.
And this is my story... In the blistering cold of the Himalayas, a secret, Russian Military base was silent as they marveled at their finished product. The man who created it, Dr. Alexei Aleksandrov, named it "Pepper" in remembrance of his daughter who died during the war. It was a massive machine: 13 feet tall, armor made of Inconel 625 (capable of withstanding 220,000 psi) , and installed with all the latest weapons Russia can buy— Pepper was a sure win for the Russians.
When they switched her on, Pepper's internal engine emitted a quiet hum which enveloped the entire room. Two red lights faintly glowed on the area where its eyes were supposed to be, and it mechanically answered in a robotic voice "Pepper unit ready for deployment."— the robot was successful! While the other scientists, engineers, and personnel of the institution cheered and congratulated one another for their success, Dr. Aleksandrov remained quiet. He looked at his creation and slowly stroked it's polished red surface. "Pepper", he breathed out, remembering how the enemy had brutally killed the real Pepper, his daughter, before his very eyes just because he refused to assist them. "Standing-by for further instructions", came the robotic voice again, ringing in the ears of the bereft father.
"Destroy them." Yet, after the war, Dr. Aleksandrov's anger was still there— even when they had already won the war. He felt something lacking in his life: a purpose of living! Pepper had done a splendid job, but it could never replace his real daughter. He wanted to destroy their enemies, he wanted revenge! He believed that that's what the real Pepper would have wanted too. But now that his madness has sort of gone away with the war, he realized that all Pepper wanted was to stop the fighting, to "bring daddy home.", Then, it struck him,
It's been a long time since he came home.
He retired from his work, and their government gave him enough money to last 5 lifetimes for his invention. He took it with grace and withdrew from the war scene.
Guess what he used the money on?
He created a new Pepper, a Pepper v.2.0. It was practically a toothpick compared to the original Pepper, but there was one thing that made her special: Pepper v.2.0 had a human heart. Pepper v.2.0 started as your typical robot, with the exception of a female-synthetic voice, but when he woke up the next day, he found a real heart beating inside her system. Dr. Aleksandrov didn't know where it came from but he was in no position to complain.
Pepper was finally alive!
With this, he decided to make her more human-like, and so sent her to the best school he could think of. A school far from Russia, and one that would hopefully teach Pepper to become more human...or at least understand humanity a little better. He sent her to the academy. I'm gifted with the abilities/powers of: ✓ Hidden Artillery- A small mini laser hidden in both of her arms. She also has a pistol installed in her back. These weapons do not need ammo, but they over-heat easily. After 10 shots, Pepper needs to wait for the guns to cool down before she can use them again. (Guns last depending on number of shots used and speed of usage. In a normal battle, it will only last for 1-2 posts before they overheat. Cool down period: 1 post, before guns can be used again. ✓ Jet boosters- One on each foot. ( Lasts for a total of 5 posts before they run out of "fuel". Cool down period: 3 posts—unless Pepper uses her fuel reserve that can only run for another 2 posts.) He understands most things, but not everything will get by him with a shrug.And this is my story...One of the most famous ninja assassins known only as Time, seeing as time seemed to either slow down or stop altogether when he struck, in the history of ninja assassins, second only to that of the legendary assassin Runealis Sareila. When he was seventeen, he married a woman by the name of Karma and had a set of twins with her when they were eighteen. Karma called them Truth and Deception and he didn't bother with arguing because one seemed to be honest while the other was quite deceptive. He retired when he was twenty-three so he could be with his family more only to come home to an empty house. On the counter were signed divorce papers from his wife and his twin daughters had run away from home. As soon as realization hit him, he went into a deep depression.
During the time he had gone into a deep depression, he had stopped all contact with other people and just seemed to be waiting for death to claim him. Unfortunately, he refused to die by enemy hands. Ephraim, a Shadowalker informant from the brotherhood and a previous partner to Trevor, had found him in such a dark place and dragged his little brother back to Trevor's estate. Sheik, Trevor's younger brother, then had to care for his brother until he could start taking care of himself again.
Several years later, he was back to being relatively cheerful and going through daily excercise routines to stay in shape. When his brother had to leave again, he kept up these routines while also searching for his daughters. His brother still has him labelled as emotionally unstable although he has returned to being like he was before retirement. Now that he's found his daughters, he's trying to reconnect with them while inwardly blaming himself for his wife leaving and his daughters having run away from home when they were about four years old.I'm gifted with the abilities of:✓Chi; It can be used for healing or just bending the elements to his will. ✓Heightened senses; He's sharper than you might think.  Kristoff Evans "It's none of your business..." Student I am known as Kris, Matthias, Mari, Jin or Kitty. I have 18 candles on my birthday cake. I am obviously Male. I am very much attracted to no one, nothing, zip, nada that is why my sexual preference is Asexual. I'm a halfbred neko-demon mix, and I stand around 68 inches and weigh around 125 pounds. Expect me to be difficult. He can be mean, sarcastic and just not give a flying fudgesicle around people at times while at other times he can be cheerful and sweet. It really depends on which persona he is in.xXx- Kristoff is a shy individual who is very fragile emotionally. He fears what people will think of him if they know his dark secrets. It's rare to actually see this side of him.xXx- Kris is a sarcastic and malicious sadist and masochist. He won't be happy until he sees someone in pain. He has to be seriously ticked off to be in this persona.xXx- Kitty is the lazy persona that does what he wants when he wants. He won't listen to instructions. He enjoys sleeping and being curled up in warm places and is one of the more frequently used personas.xXx- Matthias is the keeper of secrets and doesn't seem to care for life. He's a masochist and feels that when he does something wrong, he deserves to be punished. He's also not very modest whatsoever. One of the rarer personas that kick in when his past is brought up.xXx- Mari is an assassin and therefore relatively emotionless. He doesn't know how to feel much of anything other than irritation. He won't hesitate to pull a trigger and needs glasses to see in front of him or else he'll run into people/things. This is the mediocre anger persona or so ticked off he just becomes a scary quiet. He might also be a little nerdy in this persona...xXx- Jin... He'll pay any price to get what he wants and never seems to take anything seriously. He jokes around a lot and seems innocent while actually gathering intelligence. Truth be told, he's an informant for whoever pays the right price for the intelligence gathered.And this is my story... The story of his life is he was born in the big city only to lose his mother in giving him life. He then had to be raised by his dad who blamed him for his mother's death. His father became a drunkard after his wife's death and would go into the angry drunk phase. This ended up getting Kristoff beaten and having things thrown at him. He put up with the things his father did, lying to neighbors about having been clumsy when they'd ask how he'd gotten bruises or cuts, for some time because he didnt want to end up in a foster care program.
After several years of that, he ended up losing his father in a tragic "accident" to which he was sent to live as an orphan at a church. Unfortunately for him, the minister at the church wasn't all kind and compassionate, much less forgiving, as a preacher was supposed to be. After about a year of living in the church with another boy, both trying to avoid the preacher's temper behind closed doors, the other boy ended up vanishing. Kristoff hadn't heard of anyone taking him in and so he ran away from the church without looking back. He didn't want to end up disappearing too.
About a month after running away from the church, he discovered his ability of illusions as he was being sought out by the authorities for having run away. He'd wanted to become invisible and so he had although once he was alone again he returned to being visible. A week later and he popped a gang member who thought he was a spy in the nose only to be dragged back to their hideout and questioned. After telling them of having been taken in by the church, the leader of the gang merely nodded as if he knew of the evil behind the church doors. Without really thinking, he asked to join the gang seeing as he wanted to be able to defend himself and to feel like he wasn't a freak. The gang agreed, teaching him various things and scaring the holy crap out of them when he went to give one of the guys a highfive and ended up breaking his arm. That led up to him running away from the city 'cause he feared what the gang would do to him after having done that and into a separate city.
He's switched from gang to gang in various cities over the last five years with various different aliases and trying to avoid people looking for him while trying to self-teach himself how to use his abilities. Now that he's figured he's learned his lesson about not being old enough to try raising himself and make his own decisions, he is now trying to finish school.I'm gifted with the abilities of:✓Illusionist; If he can imagine it, it can become real so long as he wants it to exist. Distractions can easily disrupt this. ✓Superstrength; He's got to be careful when he tries shaking hands or gives people hugs or he'll snap ya like a twig.  Kenneth Lathandrel "Is it over?" Student I am known as Ken or Kenny. I have 17 candles on my birthday cake and I am obviously Male. I am very much attracted to pain that is why my sexual preference is Bisexual. I'm a 1/2 blood demon, 1/4 wild elf, 1/4 vampire, and I stand around 70 inches and weigh around130 pounds. Expect me to be He's pretty quiet and shy, yet very easily depressed. His kindhearted ways usually end up having him severely hurt. He can be stubborn and rather childish about injuries and drinking blood too. He is also very oblivious to things like dating and flirting not to mention very old-fashioned in how he behaves.And this is my story... He grew up in a small town on a relatively large island in the middle of seemingly nowhere, but went to school in Tokyo, Japan. On the island he grew up to various rules of the world being a kill or be killed kind of world. He also wasn't allowed to ever get attached to anything that was technological as apparently everything needed electricity. In an apocalyptic situation, electricity would eventually become obsolete and so his parents brought him up in an old-fashioned mannerism. He learned how to survive with the bare minimum on that island.
In Tokyo, Japan, he was never the most social person, but he always had a gentle heart which meant that he always looked at the good in people even if the bad outweighed it by a lot. Any friends he made was part of something violent and so he somehow got involved in all of their problems. By getting involved, he ended up with a bad reputation and was considered masochistic and crazy as he took beatings to protect the friends he had. As time continued to go on and he kept ending up in the hospital for these friends, his mother grew worried about his well-being as he'd never really give her details about what happened. When adults spoke of how destructive he was, his mother had argued that what they were seeing wasn't the boy playing with squirrels she had raised.
After some time, his mother eventually got tired of him being around the troublemakers and ending up in the hospital. Her choice of getting him out of the situation was to send him to a different school so he could be more focused on his schoolwork than protecting friends who just continued getting him hurt. That's how he ended up in the Reverie Academy. Now whether he ends up in the same position or not is what will decide if he'll be homeschooled on the island or not.I'm gifted with the abilities of:✓Absorption :: a limited amount of energy can be stored inside the purplish-reddish-blue orbs in his palms. This energy absorbed inside of the orbs can either cause him severe damage, heal minor injuries or take the place of energy he used up already. ✓Shadows :: can move through the shadows as if it's a portal. I'm a lycanthrope, loup garoux or in idiot terms, a werewolf, and I stand around 72 inches and weigh around155 pounds. Expect me to be He's a kindhearted individual altogether, but is also very easily irritated. When irritated, he can get pretty reckless. He is also capable of being very cheerful when treated kindly and like he's just another guy. Unfortunately, he gets very, very shy when around women.And this is my story... Lucian grew up in a family of twenty-three, not including himself, and a pack of one hundred and sixty-four lycans. That's right. He has a large family and grew up amongst a very large pack. His pack consists of an ancient bloodline that have served as ninja assassins for a long time. This pack has trained in both the ninja assassin way and the natural lycanthropy way. His pack thought of him as a nuisance, however, due to him being born blind.
Most of his childhood was spent being teased by other members of the pack or being babied by his mother. When he was six, however, he started trying to put together mental images of areas he frequented although they had no color in his head. As time went on, his image of the world in his head started becoming larger and he started for the skills of understanding what was happening around him through his other senses. Even if it meant that he had to bite back training his lycanthrope instincts, he wanted to prove to his father that he wasn't as weak and useless as everyone believed him to be.
With a lot more training than the other lycans of his pack, he'd become pretty strong over the years. Unfortunately, with great power came great responsibility. His biggest problem besides being blind was the lack of control over his temperament than the rest of his pack. Okay, here are mine. I have two :3  Talasyn Sterling "People just don't look deep enough sometimes..." [Student] I am known as Syn I have 17 candles on my birthday cake. I am obviously female. I am very much attracted to shy & innocent people that is why my sexual preference is bisexual. I'm Irish, and I stand around 5' 3" feet and weigh around114 pounds. Expect me to be very polite and normal until I've known you for a while. After I really get comfortable, my weird side comes out. Sometimes I like to say and do things just to see how people will react. I am often hyper and easily excited. I'm very serious when it comes down to the paranormal, and I don't take the subject lightly. And this is my story... I grew up normally, or so I thought. My family moved from Ireland when I was three years old and I have forgotten what little Irish I did know. From the time I could talk I could always see things that I guess other people couldn't. Some of them looked like people, others were horrifying at my young age. As I grew older and began to express my knowledge of these beings to my parents they started to look for answers as to what I was experiencing. My mother looked back through her family's book of heritage and she found little bits of information leading to the conclusion that I had inherited paranormal sensitivity that would pop up here and there throughout the females in the family tree.
Because I've had to deal with this "gift" my whole life I've learned things some people might find weird or scary. I was possessed for the first time at age 9 when I tried to overcome my fears and talk to a demon that had been watching me. That was the only time I've ever been possessed but it was also probably the most horrifying experience of my life. After that I insisted on learning how to perform a proper exorcism and how to cleanse areas and people.
I've been attending school online most of my life, since it was difficult to focus in school with the spirits coming to me. Taking classes online allowed me to focus on school when I was able to, and do my best to help the spirits coming to me in need... If I decided to help them. I'm getting older now and my parents have decided that I need to learn to live on my own and handle balancing life and my instincts as a medium. That's what has led me here, to the academy. My parents thought it would suit me perfectly.
So now I am here. A psychic medium attending the academy and trying to make life on her own, all the while dealing with the spirits of once-living and the corrupted souls of the damned. Expect me to be a total d**k-face. No one's ever treated me right, and why should I expect anything less? I don't treat them very well either. I don't know why or how it came to be but from a young age I've been able to change into animals. As a child, I could be anything I wanted, but as I grew up and my imagination faded I came to only be able to change into a select few forms.
I ran away from home when I was 12. My mom ignored the fact that I was different and my father called me a sin. I just got tired of their crap. My parents where highly religious, not that I have a problem with that, but they projected their beliefs onto me when they found out I could transform into other animals. They looked at me like a thing not of God's creation. They tried to "save" me by taking me to church as often as they could. That's right. I remember. Every Friday and Sunday. And when the man at the altar asked if anyone needed to be prayed over my parents would embarrass me. They'd drag me up to the front of that damn church, in front of everyone, and in front of that damned "holy man" and they would force me on my knees and tell the pastor I was possessed and the whole church would pray and sing over me, and the pastor would put his sweaty hands on my head and wale prayers from the top of his lungs, and preach out to me who was too horrified to listen, and to my parents who would stand and watch and hope someday their child would be fixed, and to the ignorant people of the church who were clueless as to my parent's real sins. The people who spoke in tongues would grab me and pull me and rub me and cry over me. Every visit to the church was an embarrassment. Every friday and every sunday. It never stopped.
There were kids at my church who went to my school, too. They would call me "demon" and "monster" and tell the other kids who didn't go to the church what took place on those wretched nights, and before I knew it I was completely alone. No parent. No kid. To teacher. No pastor. No one wanted me around. And when I finally had enough I left the school. I started ditching. My parents would yell at me and call me worthless and say that even a demon would at least put some effort into school. When I had enough of their bullshit I ran away from home, just like I ran away from school.
So, here I am now. I have no job because I have no education. I have no place to stay because I have no job. I was told about the academy and it sounds like a good idea... But I'm not so sure. I'll have to check it out. I'm just an average guy that'll help when you ask and talk when you speak to me. I'll warn you, though, I'm a little OCD. I've got to get things clean, I just have to. Don't ask why.And this is my story...When I was just a child, I was diagnosed with cancer. The doctors said that I wouldn't make it past my tenth birthday, but my parents refused to listen. We weren't the richest out there, but they gladly threw there money away to pay for chemo and other forms of treatment. Each treatment was hard, chemo was the worst. I grew so weak at times that it was a battle to just get out of bed. It broke my parents' hearts. There were times when I wanted to give up and stop burdening my parents, but when those times came my mother would read me a fairy tale to help get my mind off of things. It worked. Imagining being in distant lands where people were kind and animals were loving, it always brought a smile to my face.
Eventually I beat my cancer, and that was on my eleventh birthday. I still have to go into regular check-ups, and there have been times when it looked like it would be back, but so far I'm clean. I moved out of his parents' home to go to school, but there are times when I nearly panic from the thought of having cancer again, this time without my parents to help. When that happened I would pull out the storybook my mom would always read and would cheer up.I'm gifted with the abilities of:Silvertongue - Have you ever seen or read Inkheart? It's a story where these people can read out characters from a story, bringing them to life. Gives a whole new meaning to storytelling, right? Well.... It's like the idea came from me! I can actually read things to life! Pretty neat, right? ...Well, I don't do it often. I mean, why would I want to read things to life? I hate the sound of my voice when I'm reading, anyway. Archaeus Narcissus Chartreuse "Oh, how cruel this world is to let me walk around and radiate my perfection among the imperfect!" Yes, that's what Archaeus would like to be, so I will be the voice of reason here. Archaeus thinks he is the best thing since sliced bread, his middle name really does him justice. You'll notice that he's incredibly self-absorbed and very arrogant, but it's always funny to see him enraged whenever you knock him off his pedestal. And this is my story...I was-Let's just stop it right there. Arch's story will always change. Why? Because he's nothing more than a character written in a fanfiction. Let me edit that: he's a character written in a very poorly written fanfic. The writer of the fanfic broke every single rule in literature, from simple capitalization to an unfocused theme. Archaeus' back story would change everytime the author would find a video game or a show he really liked, to where he would claim one of those characters' story as Archaeus'. Speaking of which, Arch would usually always end up with a super, magical attack that he should never have obtained and win with only one hit. That's in his stories, however. In the real world, he's a dud. He's just a flamboyant man who thinks he's perfect. As for how he's here. Remember Matthew's gift for reading things to life? Yes, well one day he came across this fanfic, and he read it aloud, hoping as though hearing it read would give it a flicker of sense. All that happened, though, was that Archaeus was brought to life. Hmm... Maybe that's why Matthew won't read things out loud anymore. I'm gifted with the abilities of:Heh heh, I won't even let Arch start. He has no abilities, not even sufficient strength. He'll talk big and think that he can destroy you in the mere blink of an eye, but it's all a fib. He doesn't know it, though, so it makes a good laugh when you see the disbelief on his face.
