Really, she spent too much time in this stifling office. What good did it do her knights if she wasn't even working with them? Not that she didn't go and work with the trainees. Or the senior knights. Those that she worked in the field with. But there was more to the job then what the public saw. Requests from the Royals to address. Complaints from the common folk. Even more complaints from her counterparts, the Blackhearts. The bastards! They just had one thing after the other to b***h about. And try to pin on the Knights.

Nori sighed, sipping at the glass of wine she of course did not have in her office! With a hidden stash in the locked drawer of her desk. Nope, not at all.

As much as she hated to admit it, maybe she should consider speaking with Sibelius about dual training. Having some of her Knights work with his Blackhearts. Somewhere safe. Where the populace would not be affected should things escalate into dangerous levels.

Maybe she should run this by her men first.

Rubbing at her face, Nori closed her eye and forced herself to relax. There was nothing pressing to see to at the moment. A small moment to rest her eye would not be too much waste of time, right? Maybe. She fell into a light - very light - doze within a few minutes.

OOC: This is funny, considering the plot Omie and myself are using is Aodhan and Ruria having to team up as a Blackheart CK outreach program, to promote unification and understanding of each other and give the citizens peace of mind! lolol

Aodhan had been perched outside, hiding within the trees, blending into the bark as he watched his leader and oddly enough, estranged family friend. He had always been closer to her brothers, as children often find solace within their own genders growing up, but things were different now. He'd known Nori practically all his life, and yet, there was a giant gap within that time. He'd seen her grow, without really experiencing her grow. They shared polite conversation as children and teens, but had never really gotten to know each other.

Today, as Aodhan sat among the branches of the tree, he had decided that would most certainly change. The Knights were nothing if not chatty to one another, and gossip was a festival of sorts to the military group. Aodhan had been made known of many different rumors about Nori. One was that she locked herself away because she was an alcoholic (which he was now no longer certain if it was rumor, or truth), another was that she had some illness afflicting her, but that seemed to be far from reality. Aodhan observed her desk, noting the small dents in the item; tiny nicks here and there in various lines. Paperwork. She was probably ways buried under paperwork.

His bright, blue gaze found her shoulders slouch, and the rhythm of her breathing steadied. She seemed to be napping. Well, now was as good a time as any. Quietly, he ventured from his branches, leaping not too entirely far away from the window, waiting in utter silence as he listened to the faintest of sounds, making sure he hadn't disturbed her.

He climbed swiftly, almost as if the laws of gravity didn't apply to him, which, to a degree, they did not. He utilized the moon's gravitational pull to steady himself against the walls of the building, and gave himself a small boost into the room. It was then that he used his magic again to pull his resting leader out of her chair and wrapped gently, but firmly within a tree branch.

Leaping from the floor and back into the tree, he balanced on his branch looking at his captive. "Good day, Tash." It was the nickname he'd given her long ago, based upon her true name. "Mm mm," he said shaking his head. "Brown is not your color." Still, his magic held firm and the tree's branches held fast against her person, just tight enough to hold her, but not enough to harm her.

Surely, she'd have a few choice words to say to him, but no matter what she did, this endeavor had been totally worth it. Though the next step was the tricky part. How does one take a most likely confused, slightly angry, commanding officer, whom he'd seen lose her front teeth at a birthday party long ago, out to lunch?

((IDEK how she came up with this nickname for him... BUT SHE DID! xD ))

There was a strange feeling of something gently wrapping around her. A firm hold, but not one meant to harm. And then she was wide awake with a few choice words directed at the branch that was holding her. The wind around her body - and that of the culprit - picked up threateningly... until she recognized that nickname. Only one person ever called her that. "Of for the love of- Addie!" Nori growled, wiggling her shoulders to see if she could escape this branch prison. When this failed, she huffed, and scowled into familiar bright blue eyes of the man balanced on yet another branch.

"The hell is this?" She sighed, contemplating all the different ways she could knock his a** off that branch. Without moving from her current position. There were a few creative ideas that crossed the Knight's mind.

"What?!" Nori shifted enough to glance at herself and the branch. "Ridiculous! Brown just isn't cool enough to be my color." She disagreed, glancing at Aodhan with one of those looks that clearly said he had about thirty seconds, a minute tops, to explain himself or let her go.

".... Aodhan! There better be one damn good excuse for this!" Okay, make that fifteen seconds. Though, as she glanced towards the window to her office, Nori couldn't help but feel a bit of relief in not having to work on all that blasted paperwork. Seriously. She was going to find someone else to do it for her. Or the less important ones. Like letters from the Blackhearts. Or a note to home explaining why she broke the bones of a childhood acquaintance. That her brothers had known quite well. And would probably give her all kinds of s**t over it.

Watching Nori flail around and turn almost red in the face was probably the highlight of Aodhan's year. While he was sure that she was crafty enough to get out of his earthen prison of she really wanted to, or her life depended on it, he was glad he'd found a way to make her stay put, at least for a moment.

"It's not cool enough? You're slipping, Tash," Aodhan teased as he clicked this tongue a few times. He used his magic, enhancing the moon's power over the earth to bring a branch, lush with leaves to sit upon as he looked at Nori. Their noses were almost touching. He was sure if he'd been anyone else, there would have been a proper scolding involved, and possibly some very, very painful bathroom duties. But... he had a bit of leeway with her and her brothers.

"There is a good excuse. I'm taking you to lunch. No if's and's or but's, and for the love of all things good in the world, no ******** either..." he teased.

"I'll release you...only if you agree to getting lunch. It's been too long since we really talked, and even then, when we were kids...it was more of me running around screaming that you had cooties and you crying because your brothers didn't want you hanging around."

His gaze got serious for a moment as he backed up, leaning back into the leaves that supported his weight. "You're drinking on the job... It's time we had a real heart to heart. So...lunch?"

Laps. Lots of laps. Perhaps the infamous latrines duty. And maybe some extra special new knight training duty. Yes. She was going to get him back! One way or another! Though she could at least trust Aodhan not to scare their new recruits away. Very quickly anyways. That was usually her job, when she gave them their final tests.

She huffed, scowling at her knight, but more importantly, her friend. Not many could be called such. And there were a very rare few that could get away with Aodhan's current shenanigans. Lucky b*****d. "I most certainly am not!" Nori defended herself. Again. "As you can clearly see, the fauna and I are just currently in a disagreement." No thanks to a certain knight.

For once, the Cerberus Knight's Leader was speechless. He was taking her to lunch? What in the hell was he up to? Did he want something? No. That wasn't Addie. She gave him a suspicious look. "Oh sure, take all the fun out of it." Nori teased with a dramatic sigh. "If that is the only way I am to be freed from this entrapment... I guess I have no choice." Ah, that pulled a faint flush to her skin. Damn, but he knew more about her than most! Including that she wasn't always the tough a** she was now. Or the b***h. "That's all I have to do? Just go to lunch with you?"

And then there was a guilty look that flickered across her face. Before it was replaced by the bitchy mask she usually wore. "You try leadin' the bunch of nitwits I do and see if you don't drink! And its not like I down the bottle. One cup won't hurt anyone." She fell into muttering, like a kid that got caught stealing cookies.

A real heart to heart, hmm? Honestly, Nori couldn't remember the last time she'd gotten to have such a talk. Or... just a lunch. "Alright, fine! But you're totally buying, right Addie?" She grinned innocently.
