The door to Hel’s room swung open, and the ghoul stood there determined…and luckily fully dressed as per normal Hel standards.
She was on a mission today. Storming across the hall, she raised a fist and bang it on Mot’s door. “Oi! Motty!” The ghoul called out. “Come skip stones with me right now!”

Mot swung his door open in response after a moment of nearly getting a heart attack, his wood carving session having been disturbed by the sudden thunder that was Hel's approach.
"And by "skipping stones", you do mean the pastime and not some terrible euphemism for something else that could possibly be concocted in that horrible mind of yours?
If it is the usual pastime of skipping rocks across the water's surface... then I shall partake, gladly."

Hel froze as Mot opened the door, and stared at him a bit wide eyed as he spoke. She stared, and stared, and stared. Finally she twitched, and then narrowed her eyes, and then stared and stared and stared. Then, she grinned.
“Dirty bird.” She purred.

Mot's brow twitched.
"Yes, well, I have someone equally foul of mind to thank for that. Shall we? Before I change my mind..." The reaper retorted with an air of annoyance.

“Gutter mind ~” Hel sang, and then laughed. “Oh Mot, please be rest assured…you could never be as filthy minded as me.” She grinned, and then pumped a fist. “Ya! Alright! Come along now, I will take you to my favorite spot to skip stones on the lake!”
That being said, the ghoul spun on her heel and then took off down the hall.

Mot sighed begrudgingly, wondering why Hel seemed to make him feel like an old man attempting to keep up with a child hyped up on sugar.
The Grim shut his door and followed after her, with considerably less vigor than the other.

Hel, oddly enough, was not chatty as she made her way to the lake, though that didn’t mean she was silent, no. She hummed the entire way. First, she cut across the lawns, then made her way to the forest, and then they finally reached a spot on the lake that was enclosed by a wall of trees, and formed a very small cover before opening up to the rest of the lake. Along the way, the ghoul would stop every so often to pick up some rather flat stones, and pocket them in her apron before continuing.
Once they did arrive, she spread her arms out. “Ta da!” She exclaimed.

Mot was silent the entire trip, save for some whining when he forced himself to cut across a lawn as Hel did. Part of his training from Sal, you see. He needed to bend rules here and there. For the greater good.
When they did arrive, Mot made a small noise of observation. "Stupendous." Mot said surprisingly flatly. Apparently his relationship with hel was still prickly at best.
Mot picked up a flat stone he found on the ground, or at least it was flat on top. The bottom was less than stellar, and the rock was discarded with a flick of his fingers. "You come here often? It seems a bit far from the beaten path."

The reaper elbowed Mot in the ribs for his lack of enthusiasm, and then fished out one of her flat stones, and skipped it across the lake.
“Mmm…ya…only as of late though…but I come here a lot…I like to think here. I like that it is off the beaten path! It means it is my spot.” She was silent for a moment, watching the ripples from her stone, and then looked back at the grim. “…So…enlighten me!”

The Grim made a small noise after being nudged, scuffling his heel into the dirt as he watched Hel skip a stone. "Enlighten you?" Mot repated back, raising and arched brow high on his pale face.
"To what do you mean?"

Hel made an exasperated sound, and shot the boil an equally exasperated look.
“About your ghoulfriend!” She exclaimed. “Duh! I go away, as far as I know you are still single, and then I come back, and it is gossip around the school! So tell me already.”

"Oh!" Mot exclaimed, rubbing his neck.
"Right.. well.. she expressed her feelings for me on the roof at Amity some time ago.." The reaper's face went a touch pink, embarressed at the attention. "I didn't see her in a romantic way before then, but I suggested we give it a try regardless. And to be honest, I'm really enjoying our time together." The pink darkened, and he averted his gaze away from Hel.
"She is... very cute. Kind, and fun. And our shared love of coffee makes for delightful idle chatter."

The ghoul picked another stone out of her apron and skipped it, watching it skip six times before it sunk. As Mot spoke, and paused, and found herself listening intently. A soft smile was on her lips, and she stared at the Grim, even when he looked away from her. “Aw, geeze, Mot! Do not look so embarrassed or ashamed! She is a cute ghoul, and if you are happy, and she is happy, and you are both happy together, and cherishing the time you both spend, there is nothing to be but proud!”
She turned back to the lake, and pulled out another stone.
“I am truly happy for you.”

"Well.. thank you." Mot murmured, his face still feeling much too warm from discussing Gene. Thinking of the ghost made his heart flutter.
"I hate to say it, but even though I also wish for your happiness, I can honestly say I did not miss the noises next door in your absence, Hel." Maybe that was why he never went looking for her..

Hel snorted, and couldn’t help but smirk as she stared out over the lake. “…Ha…I would say sorry, but I would not mean it…nor am I going to make a conscious effort to keep it down.” She shot Mot a slightly apologetic grin, but thems the breaks for Hel.
“If you think I am bad, just try living next door to Freya instead of across the hall!”
