The pathway through the Snow Village is created of streets coated in heated concrete. Even the sidewalks & gutters are heated, to keep away the build-up of ice. For those in the know, the gutter system has been redesigned to drain all excess water to the canals, providing for a safer environment for the local citizens.

" Never let age or rank tell you you cant do something."

" What a cold day today is, but good as it has been." Said a elderly man who was talking to himself as he exited from a Housing building on the side of the streets. With the sound of clicking from his walking stick as he walked peacefully down the street was well known in the small crowed walking and talking to each other. A Guard watched him to see if all was ok and knowing all was well the guard continued with his runs. The elderly gentleman was on his way to the kage`s office like he did time to time to check in on the young lad as he refers to him by.
Dressed in a warm and long jacket he was warm for the wind chill that he often felt, plus to keep from getting a cold. The what seemed closed eyes and calm expression on his face was a familiar one, sure he was quite and talked only now and then but regardless he was a real puzzle box with that he could think or do.

[“Deep in my bone's...

Rikichi walked down the streets with his head held high for he was in good spirits for he had passed is graduation exam today. nothing would bring Rikichi down today, Not even the cold dry air that chapped his lips. As Rikichi walked he stopped on a bridge that went over a frozen river. He leaned on the railing and looked down at the ice only to see his reflection he Though to himself "I know iv made you proud dad and i am going to continue to do so". Rikichi continued to look down at the ice reminiscing about his past.

Hotarubi watched a younger boy walk passed him that seemed to be happy about something by the way the young boy walked. He payed no mind to him as he walked to the kage`s office. Along the path he took he once again caught sight of the boy on the bridge peering into the ice below. The sight made him thing of the day when he was young like the boy, it made him smile a bit. He walked down a side street as he took a short cut he was wise about, he would get to the kage`s building in no time.

Exits streets - To kage`s office.

"In order to exist, you need a purpose..."

Hotaka looked upwards towards the sky above him, as the eternal crystalline snow of Yukigakure continued to fall. The ground always had thin, glistening layers of ice coating them, save for any and all travel routes, in which the Yukikage had cleverly utilized a form of heated concrete to refrain any water from solidifying and further expanding the difficulty of simple travel for the villagers, and non-villagers. The entirety of the village was thought out and planned to an extremity, and each miniscule piece had some plan made specifically for it lain down beforehand. The only fragment of what seemed to be missing from this village was space- everything seemed crowded, to Hotaka. Despite having lived alone on these streets, and in this wonderland, he still could not get past the freedom of wandering the shinobi world endlessly, disregarding its hardships completely. He still held all of his ties, but knew well that they have been gone and would not be returning.
Hotaka sighed, and came to the conclusion that it would be best to simply ignore the matter, and focus on more important things- by this, he simply meant that he would distract himself, for the time being. This often meant that he would train, as it was one of the few things that he could put even a slight amount of dedication into. He began wandering off of the immediate streets, farther into the landscape and outskirts of the long concrete pathways. Hotaka looked at the ground, all the while watching his boots leave indentations in the snow with each step, and listening to the soft and nearly non-existent sound in which they so meekly made as they did such. He knew that he had already been assigned a squad in which he would soon be forced to work with, and this also meant that this squad would also have a designated training ground, where each member would rendezvous towards whenever they might like to practice, or if they were called by their sensei. This was something that Hotaka would have to learn to adjust to, despite being reluctant of the thought. He was more of an individualist, than anything, but it was the lack of freedom that made him reluctant. Until his unity with his other two squad members and sensei were completely necessary, he would continue his training in the outskirts of the streets of the village. That was simply how it would be.
There was still training for Hotaka whose status was unfinished- his mentor hadn't the chance to put an end to his instruction with every technique in which he would have wished before he was forced to leave. Hotaka was intent on finishing this training, himself. His mentor had been a rogue ninja for hire- an assassin type. He relied on the shadows and there was no better way to maximize the usage other than to, not only become the shadows, themselves, but force the target into them. There was such a massive list that he had never been given the chance to experience, but even Hotaka knew that he had limits to his abilities. He knew well that to surpass his sensei, he would have to become much more than a mere Genin in this village, and amongst this, he also knew well that this would take time- far more than what little he'd spent with his sensei.
"I won't stop training until I know everything that you do, and more!" Hotaka was naive as a child, but even now he continued to strive towards the things that he might have merely only stated having never even thought beforehand. The darkness was what Hotaka sought to master, as that is exactly what his sensei wielded as the prime of his arsenal. Hotaka had never cared much for genjutsu, until his sensei referred it to him- despite the minimalistic usage, it was a very essential piece of his tactics. Hotaka took a moment to think backwards. His past truly wasn't that strange to him when it involved his tutelage- especially not the moment when his sensei was forced to take leave of his student.
Hotaka draped the scarf in which he had wrapped around his head over his eyes, to shield his view from the powerful rays of the sun. Despite the ever-constant rain of snow in these lands, it truly wasn't uncommon for the bright sun to gleam its eyes over its vast view. Hotaka sat, with his back supported by the massive trunk of a tree whose shadow failed to protect him due to the sun's location. He lifted his face, feeling the snow gently make its way onto his skin, just as it were to soon depart, only to have its place taken from it shortly afterwards, by what would appear to be only more snow. A shadow soon fell over Hotaka, shielding him from both the sun and the snow for only the shortest of moments before it were to gently glide over to his side. "It looks like a nice day, Hotaka." a familiar, lighthearted voice stated in his general direction. He looked over, only to see the smiling face of his sensei, framed perfectly by his long, dark red hair. Hotaka opened his mouth to reply, however the man landed a few words before his student had had the time in which he'd needed to reply. "Don't let masks fool you." he spoke, now, in a colder, more serious, tone. In that instance, a kunai landed directly next to the man's head, only to be stopped in its path by the tree in which the two sat under. Hotaka immediately shifted his head so that it was angled at his sensei, with a rushed feeling now inside of him- his chest was far from being at ease, and his stomach was tensed. "Go, Hotaka. My time has come, but it's your turn to carry on the legacy that once followed me." Hotaka was surprised to see the man smiling as he spoke. As more kunai rained from the sky, and his sensei, now risen and walking calmly towards his own demise. Hotaka stood up, and stumbled. He didn't want to leave- anyone but his sensei. He would be alone, again, and he hadn't even a thought as to what his teacher's captors would do to him. Hotaka looked backwards, to see several hunter-nin standing around his sensei. The ground around him was coated in blood, and he seemed to have not had any consciousness left to him for the time being. He closed his eyes, and ran.
Hotaka couldn't remember anything past this, regarding the abduction of his sensei. It was too rushed- too much of a blur. He only remembered that he vowed to continue that legacy in which his teacher had spoken of, and he refused to stop unless it were absolutely necessary. And even in that scenario... He knew that he would be reluctant. Now was the time that Hotaka would begin to continue working towards this legacy. He was intent on mastering his sensei's most relied genjutsu, the Kokuangyo no Jutsu.
Hotaka found only one problem in his current scenario- he had to find a target to cast the jutsu on, as he was unable to perform it without having focused the jutsu on a living entity. Out of the corner of his eye, he caught sight of a small white rabbit- this was perfect for testing. Hotaka beamed his focus onto the small creature, and further continued to make the Tiger handsign. This was all that was necessary for him to cast the jutsu. Suddenly, the world surrounding the small rabbit turned to that of a completely black space, as if it were devoured by a shadow. Hotaka, on the other hand, melted into these shadows, and became one with them. This was the jutsu in which he had been aiming to master.

• Kokuangyo no Jutsu [Bringer of Darkness Technique] ~ A Rank
This technique exerts an hallucinatory effect upon the eyesight, effectively blinding the opponent. No matter how skilled an opponent may be, they are forced to wait helpless in this world of darkness, as this technique allows the user to attack unseen. Although it negates sight, it does not stop the other senses.
