There was a man sitting close to one of the corners inside a restaurant. He chose this seat for the sake of his arriving guest. Yet, he chose not to sit at the corner table so as to not arouse suspicion. The man was wearing a black bandana that covered his cheek bones down to his neck and wore a baseball cap. His clothing was that of a normal person's attire (inside the village at least). A long sleeved shirt and jeans.
The small village that the restaurant resided in was no where near the GNA's grounds.

A man appeared at the entrance to the restaurant, looming somewhat tentatively. He was tall, just over six feet, with a large yet flat figure; no other details of his appearance could be established from behind the thick green cloak that covered his body, save for the rather handsome, roughly shaved, jaw that jutted slightly out. His prior hesitance was replaced by confidence as he pushed through the entrance and unnervingly towards his unseen destination.
Had his host hoped to avoid suspicion, that hope would likely be sinking faster than a man who could not swim in shark infested water. When he arrived at the table with the baseball capped man, he sat without a word. The cloaked man had a strong odor about him that, while stagnant, was not unpleasant or unfamiliar; he smelled of the forest, the complex bouquet of grass, wood, and dirt.
Almost as if exiting a wall of pure darkness, a hand appeared forth from the cloak slowly. The hand was dressed with a sort of finger-less glove, comprised of thick leather straps wrapped around, dyed with soil and blood. It was a strong sort, accustomed to work and punishment. Tan fingers, tipped with earth smudged nails, clenched tight an object that the man extended to reveal to the other. The object was a marriage of metal and wood, a symbol of high rank, even leadership, of a village long abandoned. Beneath the object, in the palm of the man's hand, a faint mark; it was a sort of burn in the leather of his wrappings, in the triangular shape of three fan blades spinning. Almost immediately, as if conscious, the man clutched his hand shut around the object and returned the appendage to his cloak.

The man in the baseball cap turned his head sideways at the heavy footsteps that approached him from behind. When the green cloaked stranger came into view, his eyes followed as he took a seat in front of him. He kept looking at the man's shadowed face before he had revealed something in his hand. The man recognized the symbol, and looked up from the hand to his face again.
Almost half a minute of silence later, a waiter walked over to their table. She placed two medium sized cups of water with ice cubes in them.
The man turned his head to the waitress and looked slightly upwards to her. He smiled behind the black bandana and bowed his head slightly, "Thank you."
The waitress smiled back and walked off to serve other customers.
He turned his head back to the green cloaked man and leaned forwards on the table. Both arms were folded across each other as he leaned on them. The man's green eyes were locked onto the cloaked man's face. "...So, how do I look?" The man asked in a joking fashion. He didn't get to the point immediately because people might still be eavesdropping around them.

The cloaked figure took note of the other man's recognition of the symbol presented. A slight smile appeared above his revealed chin, it was a thin sort of knowing smile, almost cocky. The waitress earned little more than a nod from him and he studied the water from under his hood. Cold water... it would do, but why waste time with such in a restaurant... he could have had water from any brook... and if it were the winter season, it would have been cold. Though that was the issue with the wild, the water was rarely cool when you wanted it so. Upon being asked a question by the other man, he scoffed and paused for a few seconds. Later speaking in an almost broken tone, hints of education but obviously dulled with time from an apparent lack of use. His voice was sharp and quick, one could almost hear the howl of the wind in his speech.
"Ridiculous."

He laughed quietly at the response. "I had to change my eye color too, you know." The man was expecting that kind of answer/reaction to the question. It was also meant to be sure that this was the correct "guest" he was meeting. It was a double check, so to speak (after the symbol was shown). He had to be sure that symbol wasn't stolen. The man took on a more sober expression before picking up his glass of water, "I can't believe you've kept it after all this time." He started to swing the bottom of the glass slowly in a small circle. His eyes narrowed as he looked down at the glass. He spoke in a quiet voice, "I want those three to beg after what they did to our home. I heard one of them died, but I don't know about the other two." He was sure that no one around them was paying attention at this point. "The village wasn't fully evacuated. I found bodies in the wreckage afterwords." The man's temper was starting to flare, but he tried to hide it. His voice choked nearing the end of his sentence and he had to close his eyes for a few seconds before opening them again.

The man was stoic as the other spoke, his body completely still and his expression blank. Yet at the mention of keeping the trinket, he couldn't help but turn his head away and down a bit, almost as if in remorseful remembrance. It had never occurred to him before that he was keeping the trinket or the significance that it held for him; infact, that symbol was the only thing kept polished and clean on the man. Things had certainly changed, particularly this man before him; no longer the boy he remembered, though, by his manner of speech, not entirely gone either.
"It was my duty to protect that village and so it shall be my duty again to avenge it; you know you've found the right man for the job. Bodies... anyone I knew?..."
Despite the mans apparent cool, even he could not completely disguise the unease of his question. Upon the mention, he couldn't help but see a flash of faces before his eyes, lingering like the fester on an untreated wound. It was his fault, he was not there to protect the village and he gave the young ones too much credit. Though that wasn't true... he had no choice, even if he had dispatched all of the village's foes... he, himself, would have been its greatest undoing. Ever so slightly, the man tensed as a shrill and silent voice entered his mind.
"Oh come now... that again? We would have thought you over that by now, ole boy. You're just so damn proud of yourself, aren't you? Its your own fault, don't go blaming us. If you had the balls, maybe you could have made a difference... but you just couldn't handle it, pussyfooting as you were. I swear... you think that we are a curse, have you tried dealing with yourself? We're getting the s**t end of the bargain here."
Clearing his throat, the man released the strain in his muscles and appeared to show no other reaction. He wasn't sure if the other man had answered his question yet or not, but waited patiently for response.

He stopped swinging the glass and placed it back on the table, but he didn't let go of it. Half a minute of silence went by before the cloaked figure had cleared his throat. The man broke away from his stare with the glass because of it, but then went back to locking onto the glass; stuck in thought, "One of them was a shop owner that I use to see around a lot. They weren't shinobi. They were civilians. None of the bodies were shinobi. All civilians." He repeated half-distractedly. A chain of related information was running through his thought process while he had spoken. The man looked up from his glass at the cloaked figure.

His countenance didn't brighten at the man's response. It seemed the other had understood of whom he was concerned and he was relieved to hear no shinobi had been harmed. However, the civilians were the people he had sworn to protect... the ninja could protect themselves... but defenseless innocents? Reaching forward, the cloaked man scoffed and pushed his glass to the side.
"Cowards. So whats the plan?"

He looked back down to the glass that his hand was still clinging to. The man didn't respond right away. His thoughts drifted away temporarily...

It was a year since the destruction of the Uchiha Village. Naruto had split up with his fellow shinobi Zach Barren. Their goal was to hunt down the three shinobi who attacked their village: Kaimen Clough, Tier Krahe, and Kansou Aida (who stood in the background and watched as Tier and Kaimen fought). It was only after they had laid waste to HUV (Hidden Uchiha Village) was when the trio came to the GNA to take over. ____________________________________ The man from the bar was having a flash back about what happened 3 or 4 years ago.

A blonde haired and blue eyed young man was jogging through the forest with a small white-furred fox. The young man had three slightly horizontal lines on each cheek. He was wearing a long-sleeved black shirt and brown cargo pants. He also had a string-less black bow attached to his back; he was using a miniscule amount of chakra to keep the bow in place. The two partners were traveling to a different village at a steady pace.

The young man's eyes shifted to the right for a second before looking forwards again. The fox started moving faster to reposition herself in front of the young man. He kept his pace and kept silent.

"Naruto." A raspy voice that sounded like it was coming from an old voice box reached out to the young man. The voice came from their right side as he and the fox passed by.

The fox and Naruto looked to the voice at the same time and they both went from jogging to a slow trot. "One eye'd orange guy? I'd recognize that voice anywhere!" The white fox started sniffing around for the familiar scent but she didn't leave Naruto's side. "How did you find me out here? Where have you been???" He still couldn't see the man from this angle.
