Notable Skills:
Jace is an excellent marksman, with perfect eyesight and a near perfect aim. He rarely misses his mark, even when he looks like he's not paying attention. On the other hand, he takes a while to set up and focus on his target. Thus, he doesn't do very well with fast-moving targets. He also has a pretty quick mind and is good at thinking on his feet. Jace is a decent strategist. Sadly, these skills are only ever used for planning out pranks and getting out of trouble when caught. When put in a bind, Jace can fight in close combat. However, he has no stamina and his lack of practice soon shows clearly.

Personality :
Jace is one of those people who are amazingly outgoing and seem to be able to befriend anyone, however disagreeable they are. He knows how to wheedle things from them should he want to, be it with pleading or blackmail. When he doesn't get his way, he tends to get upset and go into a sulk that consists of pointedly ignoring the person who denied him his desire and a complete refusal to talk to them. He also likes the finer things in life, and a sulk will commence should he be denied these things.
Jace also seems to attract girls like honey attracts flies, but he goes through girlfriends like he goes through cigarettes; that is very quickly. He can be very caring and considerate boyfriend, but never lasts for long before he moves on and starts chasing another girl. He also has a tendency to flirt with anything that moves and seems to have an inherent ability to turn any and everything into an innuendo. He doesn't seem to care very much if he's flirting with a guy or a girl, which sometimes leads to questions about his sexuality that he never answers properly.
Having learned to read people from an early age, he knows how tiny movements and body language can give people away. He's very careful about his movements and anything that can give away how he truly feels about a subject, always taking care to appear unconcerned about things. He also finds that flirting constantly means that few people take him seriously, which suits him just fine.
Jace also comes across as a very flippant guy who doesn't give a ******** about anything except for his appearance, which hides a rather caring side that few people know of. He's actually very good with children and very patient with them, thus making him the go-to guy when dealing with kids. However, this is one of the things he doesn't care to advertise, simply because that would ruin his playboy-couldn't-care-less image.
Jace also has a rather mischievous side, often pulling pranks on people just for the fun of it. His pranks can range from simple things to elaborate affairs that require much planning and careful timing. He very meticulous in the execution of such pranks, especially those designed to get back at people.
Being rather narcissistic, Jace likes showing off his skills as a marksman. He enjoys being praised and having people's undivided attention. He also really likes being given things. On the flip side, he absolutely hates being criticized and personally seems to believe he can do no wrong. He is very confident in his abilities to do things and do it well.
Even though it takes a fair bit to get Jace riled up, when he is angry he becomes very sarcastic and will bite your head off. He will get back at you through some way that will render you utterly humiliated and leave him smirking, considering his revenge complete. He is very petty and will get back at you should you wrong him. He's not above filling a balloon with sour milk and throwing it at you if it serves his purposes. Sometimes he uses nastier substances, depending on how badly you've offended him.

History:
Born into one of those rather rich families, Jace was one of those very fortunate kids who was given everything on a golden platter. His charming personality helped him win favour with his governess and the rest of the staff, who doted upon him and gave him everything he asked for. He enjoyed pulling elaborate pranks on the staff, which often led to him getting into some kind of trouble with his governess and in serious cases, with his parents. However, he never got the one thing he craved most; attention from his parents. They were often too busy with family affairs, seeing Jace only perhaps once a week for a few brief minutes.
As a child, Jace's parents often took him to social events with them, thus teaching him how to smooch from an early age. He learned how best to get his way around people and to pick up on subtle body language.
Once, Jace ran away from home for three days following the announcement that his parents were pregnant again, which led him to believe that they would neglect him even further in favour of the new baby. However, the brief experience of "freedom" proved false and disappointing, leaving him to return home humiliated and ashamed. Jace's father decided it was time that his son did something useful, instead of being filled with fanciful notions that only led to trouble. He hired a tutor to teach Jace and further occupy him. His tutor introduced him to archery, which soon became something that consumed him. He spent many hours perfecting his aim, trading in his bow for guns once he hit his teens.
When his baby sister was born, Jace's father told Jace he was to look out for her. Jace disliked her and the burden she represented to him, taking up his duties as an older brother grudgingly. However, she adored him, following him everywhere and imitating his every move. He merely viewed her as an unwanted responsibility that further restricted him.
One night, she came to his room in tears after a nightmare, and he reluctantly let her sleep with him. She clung to him for most of the night, forcing him to hold her. From then, he started to grow closer to her, making a few small efforts to make her happy, The occasional flower or bedtime story made her light up with delight, endearing her to him. Soon, he started spending all his free time with her, being there for her the way his parents had never been for him. She was often sick, bouts of illnesses that seemed to grow increasingly frequent and severe as she got older. By the time she was six, much of her time was spent within the confines of her bedroom, being far too ill to go out except for brief walks that only seemed to worsen her condition. Soon, Jace was spending every moment by her bedside as she grew increasingly sick. Eventually, she died from her illness.
The funeral was a subdued affair. Jace began to spend his time doing other things to distract him from the sudden emptiness in his life. It was during this time started smoking, taking on a flippant attitude towards things and life. He showed off his skills as a marksman whenever given the opportunity and soon gained a reputation, giving him the attention he'd always wanted.
Quirks/Unecessary Info:
- Every week, he goes to his sister's grave and leaves flowers on them regardless of the weather. He also still talks about his sister in present tense, because to him, she never died.

Family History:
The Linden family has always been a military family. Jace's grandfather was a well-respected Rune Knight in his time, as was his eldest uncle. As the younger son and being born rather late in life, Jace's father had less pressure and expectations placed upon him to follow in his brother's footsteps to join the army. Instead, he chose to make use of his family's connections and start his own business, making the Linden family one of the richest and most politically influential families in Midgard. He married the daughter of a well-known nobleman, a move that was beneficial both financially and politically. When Jace was born, he was expected to follow the military tradition, seeing as he was the only boy in his generation who still carried the Linden name. He is the embodiment of everything his family has worked for over the generations: noble, rich and powerful.
Plots: Someone shock me with their brilliance because I have no idea what.
