Personality Expansion:
XXXXLysandor is the type who will silently pride himself in his black smithing but never boast about his work. If complimented he tends to get embarrassed and will immediately try to change the topic off of himself or make jokes to try and deflect the compliment away. When it comes to his work he tries his best to make sure that his customer will be happy, even if it means him starting from scratch. The only time Lysandor will refuse a customer's request is if the customer wants something done that will undoubtedly undermine the weapon or armor making it faulty, unbalanced or weak. As he doesn't want his name on something crafted poorly he will attempt to persuade the customer with an alternative suggestion. If that still doesn't work he will apologize and suggest that the customer go to a different blacksmith who would do what they requested.

XXXXLysandor isn't the chattiest person around the hall but he won't turn you away if you start up a conversation with him. Lysandor isn't the type to openly seek out people to have a conversation with though it seems that he just has this ...magnetic source about him that draws people to him. Perhaps its his gentle face, the fact he isn't too hard on the eyes (despite scars), the idea he has this air of mystery around him since he doesn't openly discuss things about himself. Though once you get him talking...he can actually be pretty funny. People are curious by nature...and they often befriend him if only to learn more about him. Lysandor doesn't mind this, even he gets lonely at times, but just don't to get too curious and ask too many questions about his private life. He likes to keep his personal life...just that personal and he respects others privacy and expects the same treatment.
XXXX If people were to pick a word to describe Lysandor, 'funny' or 'strange' are generally the words. Lysandor will joke (even at his own expense) to try and lift the mood of a person or others around him. Though often he uses his jokes to deflect any personal questions about himself, dodging as one would say to really answer them by making fun of himself.
XXXXIt takes a lot to rile up Lysandor, in fact hardly anyone had seen him angry in his older years. Though his uncle could tell you a few tales of his outburts and rages growing up, hardly anyone would believe him seeing Lysandor as he is now. Age has brought some wisdom, if he gets angry he goes pound it out in some metal..no sense hurting someone else it was a waste of energy.
XXXXSince his abandonment to his uncle at a young age, growing up and fearing to be himself as well admitting that he is gay he feels that there isn't anyone he can be truly honest with so he has a hard time really connected people on anything deeper than a superficial level.

Physical Description:
XXXXLysandor is the 'friendly giant', rough around the edges, looks like he could rip your arm off in a fight but is actually quite tame. All his years working in the black-smithing hall he is built rather solidly and he has the for-arms to prove it. Although he had made numerous types of weapons he had never wielded any of them besides the hammer which had become like a second hand to him and could be seen in his smithing belt around his waste. His hair is dark brown and almost black, though perhaps that is from the dust of the coal more than genetics, it hangs down to his shoulders but is often drawn back in a pony tail to keep it out of his way while he works. Despite trying to be a clean person, it seems there is a permanent crust of coal dust under his nails, though his hands in general are calloused and rough from the years of smithing. When the weather dramatically changes the skin cracks and is rather painful, luckily he wears gloves during these few awful days and if often seen wearing gloves even when he isn't working, embarrassed by the condition of his hands.

History:
XXXXLysandor was given to his apprenticeship at a young age (like 10 years or so). His family too big to feed all those hungry mouths they hoped by 'giving up' Lysandor to his uncle to train as a blacksmith would offer him a better life. Well it was... a life that was for sure. To be handed to a man he hardly knew and expected to immerse himself solely to the fine craft of black smithing, growing up was hard. When he was a few years older (around 13-14) he had tried to run away, tired of waking up every morning his muscles aching or nursing a new burn or bruise he had received the day before.
Youthful arrogance got him in trouble and he was soon brought back to his uncles smithy where he was harshly disciplined. Lysandor never ran away again. Years past and at an age where he was suppose to show interest in the opposite sex he choose instead to play aloof. As homosexuality was severely frowned upon by his uncle, so instead of persueing men and face scorn he decided to show no interest at all, instead redoubling his efforts in smithing and joking with the few friends he had acquired that no woman would want to be near him with his calloused hands and the smell of coal and hot iron about him all the time.
XXXXLysandor was only 18 when he was searched, much to his surprise and selected to be a candidate for a hatching in the wery. His life was uprooted, taken from a place that he had grown fond and comfortable with to be thrust into a new environment, with different demands and expectations. Lysandor is still getting use to things, after his first attempt of impressing he was...nervous and ultimately not chosen he was dubious if he was truly suited to the task of raising and bonding with a dragon. Back to his studies and chores, he tried to drown out his doubt and reassure himself by crafting when he had the chance and focusing on his new duties even more.
