Fenrir Kran' Torniya

『Child Guild Leader』 『Male』 『Twenty-three』 『Pansexual』『N/A』

『People Know Me Like this...』
-Fenrir lived up to his name as a lone wolf (as this is quite literally what his name means), though not intentionally as many people around the young man have often believed. He believes in a world where Faltiera can cure or begin to alleviate the sinful actions he's been exposed to for so long, yet has learned that showing one's emotions is often interpreted as a sign of weakness to others and himself. Fenrir's words suggest that he doesn't care about anyone else or what may happen to them, yet he often completely contradicts this attitude by saving many fellow Children from the brink of death, so they have begun to understand that his fierce demeanor is little more than a facade to conceal his true opinions.
Some of the only opportunities to see Fenrir show his emotions is during combat, in which he could be more open with attitudes like anger or amusement. The most virulent of these cases is when the youth was just a few steps away from advancing to leadership, having tracked down the exact Imperial squad that kidnapped him as a child. Fenrir absolutely slaughtered them all, in a way that left no doubt that he found grudges very easy to keep.

『Life as I Know It』-Born and raised among the Children of Faltiera for all of six years, young Fenrir's life there was interrupted when Imperial soldiers raided one of the Children's hideouts and abducted about a dozen members of the resistance, including Fenrir himself. Originally very clingy and frightened, the boy shoved his way past harsh trauma and hardened himself to the outside world after almost four years of slavery and cruelty. The young boy eventually killed several of his captors (with little more than sharpened kitchen cutlery no less) and escaped from his imprisonment back into the wild lands.
When he reunited with the rest of the tribe, Fenrir found himself training diligently and advancing through the trials one after another in spite of his size and youth. He obtained the support of the Shaman earlier on and when his twenty-first birthday arrived, it came with an unexpected surprise. The blessing of Faltiera came to him, and it was relayed that Fenrir was to take command of the Children as their next Guild Leader.
He was gifted with power, speed, endurance, but also something more. As the current assassin leader, Fenrir was given his own unique ability: the power to transform his bones into blades.

Fenrir has never been known to gain any fat, no matter how much food he consumes. The rumor-mill suggests that his stomach leads to some kind of alternate dimension.

Luna Stardust

『Child Shaman/Healer』 『Female』 『20』 『Heterosexual』『unknown』

『People Know Me Like this...』
-Luna can often be seen wearing a hood over her unusual teal hair, concealing the non existent pupils, of her solid white eyes. Others often describe Luna as being ether quiet or kind. This is not however, from having nothing to say, nor is it because she genuinely cares for others. This reputation comes primarily from having learned that sometimes its safer not to voice ones opinions out loud, as sometimes even the walls have ears. Luna's unique gifts have made her unapproachable to many among the children, so unless they have some ailment, her place of healing is usually avoided; Which suits her just fine. Luna can come off as being overly analytical when she does chose to speak, her opinions cutting though most pleasantries, getting straight to the point. While this trait makes her a terrible conversationalist, it making her a great sounding board for someone who needs a clear perspective on overbearing personal dilemma. Luna spends most of her time moving between Fultiera's alter inside the Children's Lair, or the infirmary, sometimes popping in to see the guild leader, or a member who is bed ridden. She has something of a reputation for being invisible and would have made an amazing scout if she would ever willingly leave the Children's Lair.

『Life as I Know It』- Luna was born in a strange land far from Mneurian, a place that the imperials had long since concurred. Her mother and father were the ruling natives of the territory she was born. She had seven brothers and six sisters she being seventh and youngest daughter. When she was was nine, a General from the ruling government came to inspect the territory to make sure all was in order. For this trip he stayed at their castled along with his oldest son. Luna being a happy child and had been excited to meet new people, being a young lady in the making she was always restrained to the castled grounds. This had been for her own protection, but it made it difficult for her to meet new people. Her excitement in meeting these strangers would soon change…

While she was playing in the gardens, or during lessons, Luna took notice to an unsettling presence. The generals son would be lurking just out of plain sight, watch her with eyes she didn't understand. The way he would watch her, frightened her, even if she didn't know why. It got to a point where Luna would stay close to her sisters for fear of his gaze. The night the General left the castle, while Luna lay sleeping in her room, a soldier, loyal to the generals son, snuck back into the castle and took her unconscious form, without none being the wiser.

She never saw her family again, never knew if they searched for her, or if they knew what had become of her or if they could have done anything about it. As it would turn out the generals son was a sick sonuva*****. For the next six years Luna was dressed in rags and treated like a slave in the eyes of her superiors. However, that was the least of her problems. It didn't matter how hard she worked, or how carful she was, the generals son, would always find a reasons to punish her. On good night she would find herself beaten with in an inch of her young life, but on bad night she became an outlet for his twisted affections.

The first time this happen Luna's psyche became fractured leaving her eyes white and bind in the normal sense, only for her eyes to be opened to a power that ran through few in her bloodline. Luna was now stricken with spirit sight, something that did not leave her completely blind to the mortal realms but made her see things that others could not. This however, didn't exactly help her out of her current situation, in fact it made it worse. The few times she tried to voice some of the things the spirits would tell her she was beaten. She learned quickly to keep quiet and stay invisible so she wouldn't give them more reason to break her. When she was about fifteen, one evening as took the General his meal, a familiar spirit approached her. It was a kitchen boy whom she had befriend, seeing his spirt made her heart ack, but she fought against her tears and continued straight faced to the generals office. While she walke the friendly spirit whispered the secrets he heard that got him killed. The General's son planed to have him killed so he could take his place as General. This information was alarming, the General pretty much left her alone so she had not grudge against him, but his son… for him to gain such power, it could only lead to terrible days.

When she arrived at the generals office and place the food on his desk, Luna gave a deep bow before the general before asking for permission to speak freely. It was an unusual request but the general allowed it since he wasn't busy at the moment and could uses a good laugh. "There is poison in your food sir, your son wants you dead so he can become the new general." Her word were blunt and lifeless, the general was not amused and his temperament changed swiftly ordering one of his under links to take her away and have her beaten for her lies. The beating she had received that day left her bed ridden for a week. When she awoke she found that the general had been poisoned the blame was put on an assassin and his son had assumed his position. As soon as she was well enough of walk Luna was running. She knew she had to get out of there, luckily she perfected the art of invisible, and she was able to slip away from the fortress of corruption, unnoticed. Luna knew that if the new General was ever to catcher her, she would be as good as dead for the things she knew.

Luna found work at a temple dedicate to healing, it was here that she learned the true power of her abilities. While Luna tended the sick and dying she learned she could coax a spirit on the verge of death to remain attached to the body long enough for it to be healed. This was a power that had saved many lives since her arrival. Working here also gave Luna the advantage of soldier gossip, through them she heard rummers that the General was searching for her, and was able to evade him when he came close to finding her. She was able to stay with the temple for about a year and a half, before the spirits warned her that the General was closing in on her location. So with little care for those she was leaving behind, she fled the small home she had made at the temple without a word.

The General was just as horrible a commander as she knew he would be. Many had learned to hate him as she had in the last year and a half and it was no wonder many wanted him dead. As bad as the leaders of the imperial armies could get, he took the cake. As fate would have it the night she would flee the temple an ambush had been waiting for her. It would seem one of the soldiers, she had treated, was able to connect the dots and squealed on her. She was easily surrounded by the soldiers, only when there was no hope of escape did the twisted man himself emerge from with in their ranks. ""My little lost bird, as been found" His voice was a mocking sneer. Luna had been terrified but it never showed on her stone face.

I would seem some unknown deity had decided to take pity on her that night, became a stream of chaos soon ensued. She quickly became forgotten when a wild looking man jump into the fray decapitating the person, who had destroyed her life, with a single swing of his axe. The soldiers froze only for a second before charging the man who continued to decimate their number rapidly. Luna did her best to quickly back away from the brutal scene before her, not wishing to be this crazed looking mans next kill. While backing up she ran into someone standing behind her. Looking up quickly with her blank eyes she saw a man who looked a little older then her, eyes locked on the scene before them. "You should get out of here girl if you don't want to be killed" his cold attitude was something that gave her shivers but she refuse to let them show as she moved away to do just as he had said. Thats when the spirit of the dead began to rise from their bodies, invisible to mortal eye Luna collapse where she stood as the souls began to overwhelm her, creating thicker cracks in her already unstable mind, then she heard a musical voice and all the spirits vanished.

Words had not voice, the voice had no words, she knew she was being spoken too but it was as if the words became part of her rather then spoken to her. "I have been saved this night by something much greater then myself." Luna looked to the cold man she had bumped into, "The voice told me to go with you, so I will."

This is how Luna came to the Children, and could have just as easily have been chosen to go the orphans. She would later learn that both men were part of two different groups both of which had been commissioned to kill the totalitarian general. Luna was an outsider to the children, in many ways as she was not even from the same continent. Most would not, could not, trust her, but as time would pass most would learned to tolerate her presence and left the young woman alone to her duties. Preferring the warmer climate of the underground hide away, Luna rarely left the hide away, and never willingly. Wishing to remain in the layer instead of going out on missions, Luna became the apparatus to an elderly healer for a few years before old age and the harsh conditions finally over came her. It is in this way that Luna became the primary healer to the children and the keeper of Faltiera's altar, who she learn was the one who must have spoken to her that fate filled day, when she followed Fenrir to becoming a child of Faltiera.

Alena Rose Dupree

『Child』 『Female』 『21』 『Pansexual』『N/A』

『People Know Me Like this...』
Alena is not what you expect an assassin to be, she likes to smile and play with others. She's like a giant child. Her kind appearance fools many, they'd never expect her to be quick to anger and deadly with her dual blades. She's not shy at all and is quick to get attached to people but she never trusts, even though it may seem like her trust was earned it never is actually earned. Only two people in the world have her complete trust, her leader and the Lady of Obsidian.

『Life as I Know It』 Alena grew up in a family that seemed happy and healthy on the outside. Her mother and father always kept up the act of loving each other when people were watching but once the audience was gone the illusion went with it, the happy family went back to being miserable. Behind closed doors her mother said nothing as her father beat her for no reason whatsoever or joined her in the bed at night.

She often hid under her bed at night just to avoid the pain she would have to endure whenever her drunk father visited her room at night. She endured living that life for ten years, only smiling when others were around and wiping the tears stains from her cheeks just to keep the illusion up.

At the age of twelve she finally snapped and that night both of her parents died by her own hands. She stabbed them both thirty two times in the chest with a kitchen knife. When she finished the knife fell to the floor beside the bed and all she could do was laugh a maniacal laugh. She hadn't laughed in so long, it felt so good.

She stayed with the dead bodies of her parents until the smell became too much for her. She left the house without looking back, dry blood caked onto her pajamas. She wondered the streets with no real destination in mind. Several tried to stop her and ask what happened and she only stared at them with wide eyes. A few tried to take her to the soldiers but she easily slipped from their grasp and ran for it, she didn't like Imperial Soldiers; her father used to be one of them.

She was found wondering the street by one of the Children and she followed without complaint. She was a mute for a little over a year while staying with the children but once she felt safe she told the leader of her story and she was recruited almost immediately. She picked up the dual blades and learned to master them over the years. Her personality changing into something new as she became stronger and felt more at home within the guild.

Aleida Cain

『Child』 『Female』 『Twenty-three』 『Straight』『Nationality N/A』

『People Know Me Like this...』
a fairly responsible person. Following directions and orders is a natural habit of Aleida's. She is constantly looking to please not only her leader, but the Lady of Obsidian, also. Tyrants and dictators make her disgusted with the fact that other's lives are compromised as long as the ruler is happy and living comfortably. She has always been willing to make a difference in the world and that must have been her greatest feat. Her willingness to help change the world is only to aid in the justice of those less fortunate. Even if she has to kill someone, there is still a sadness and respect for the lives of others. When not busy on a mission, she can be found praying, meditating or training.

『Life as I Know It』 There was never really a time when she was not happy. As long as she was helping people, she felt normal and happy. Not many people have ever taken the chance to get to know her. She never really spent time with her parents as a child, but that could have been a downfall for her. The meant the world to her, even until the day they died. they lived and died so that she, one day, could have a meaningful future. Her parents struggled through their lives and spent all of the money they could on her. This caused Aleida to hate the tyrants and rulers whose greedy disposition took everything they could from her parents and caused their family to live their lives in poverty. Aleida wanted a way to get back at these evil beings, so she found her resolve in Faltiera. The only one that could help her in her struggle to bring justice to the land.

Fay Tsunade

『Orphan Shaman 』 『Female』 『Twenty-five』 『Heterosexual』『N/A』

『People Know Me Like this...』
-Known to all as a cold and exceptionally vicious individual, Fay has zero issues with displaying outright coldness and cruelty towards those that stand in her way. She is extremely intolerant of those that dare to disrupt her concentration, especially when she happens to be locked in a ritual for Faltiera. Fay has an intense distaste for Imperials, but doesn't hesitate to let any of Faltiera's Children who cross her path know that she finds them to be absolutely pathetic and naive. One of the few exceptions to this annoyance is the Children's Guild Leader, Fenrir, and has repeatedly attempting to convince him to abandon his disciples without much success.
Her attitude in regards to the Lady of Obsidian however, borders on pure obsession, willingly drowning herself in Faltiera's power in order to become a worthy speaker for her goddess. Having submitted eagerly to the tainting of her body and soul through a particularly twisted strain of the Lady's abilities, Fay's very being has become corrupted.

『Life as I Know It』-Brought up on one of the outlying families among the Orphan tribe, one that very little to do with assassination itself, yet still managing to leave a distinct impression on the young girl. During a three way clash with Imperials and Faltiera's Children, the small village was set ablaze, killing many of the residents within half an hour of the fire's creation. However, instead of running to safety like any normal child, Fay decided to head to the tiny shrine in the center of the burning village and began to pray in earnest to have Faltiera's blessing. No one knows exactly what happened that day. Fay herself claims that the Lady herself appeared before her, others say that she was lying or hallucinating something within the billowing smoke. Regardless of what actually happened, the girl completely lost her mind once the prayer was completed, shouting that she would "give herself completely to her goddess" and flung a deadly sharp shrapnel shard into her own stomach.
The Lady of Obsidian pooled her energy within the young girl, filling her already twisted mind with a corruption that Fay herself unknowingly desired. Among the ashes of her hometown, the Orphans came in silence to escort their newest Shaman to their greatest hideout, silently shivering if they had to look into her dead, yellow eyes.

Ensign Darkhart

『Orphan 』 『Male』 『27』 『Heterosexual』『N/A』

『People Know Me Like this...』
His blank, cold facial expression is just what his personality is... Blank and cold. He is hardly concidered someone who is surprised, sad, or even angry. Ironically, he hides his face with a brown scarf so that nobody can read his expressions. If he did have any other emotions, it would have to be bold. For those that know him, he has no fear to do what others would expect to be impossible. He continues to prove himself better each day to keep himself from 'getting rusty'. Hedoesn't show hatred like others do. Of course, to him, the world needs to be purged from all evil, but he doesn't blame it on others as he believe that they do not know better.

『Life as I Know It』 He grew up and was raised as one of the 'children' for most of his life, but as he grew older, he felt some form of emptiness within. He was expected to be a great form of justice as he became greatly skilled within the shadows and with a blade. He continued to grow, learning the wisdom and discipline it took to be a loyal servant to Faltiera.
As he participated in a small raid meant to wipe out a small scouting colony just outside the city of Guyldia, he encountered a guild with the same purpose... The Orphans. The result was catastrophic. Mass havoc erupted as the three groups faught amongst each other. Ensign managed to escape the bloodshed with deep flesh wounds, but no other serious injuries. Nobody else from his group made it out alive. From that moment, he began to question the Lady's protection to the guild. Ensign calls it fate, but not long later, he came into contact with one of the assassins that participated in that raid. After a fight between the two, he had almost killed the Orphan. That was when his life changed. Before her death, the Orphan told him "Unless you understand what real justice is, you will never be purged of the sins you now possess."
Ensign began to understand that what he was looking for was not within the reach of the Children. He could not be blessed by the Lady of Obsidian until he was led to the truth. Perhaps the lady led him slowly to his perfection, but eventually, he was able to find the Orphans guild and, through their repentance, was cleansed and gladly received in the truth of the world. Though some mention that he still holds to some of the traditions of the Children, he continues to become better and maintain his newfound belief in the Orphans.

Faris Lyn Aaliyah

『Imperial Sovereign Ruler』 『Male』 『Thirty-two』 『Asexual』 『Pureblood』

『People Know Me Like this...』
He's about as retched as they get. With the Imperial power he has, he's a horrible man who knows how to use it. He's vile and cruel, but terribly polite. He carries himself high and would never degrade himself to do tasks such as groveling or peasant work. He's sly and headstrong. Silver tongued. Faris has a narcotic way of speaking and cleverly uses it.
He's a loyal man to those he has reason to trust. No stranger would have his back covered in battle by Faris. The older maids that still roamed the castled and practically raised the boy of a single father have his allegiance. To others, he'd rather have a knife in their back than be tricked into having one in his. He has plans to rule for a very, very long time and doubts he could do that if he let a mere rebel out him.

『Life as I Know It』 There was little tell of this cold hearted ruler's past. He was the only son of the past top Imperial. As he could imagine, it ran in the line of all rulers to take the title on with force and diligence. To rule with a stern hand. As he watched his father before him, he saw it was the only way to get anything done. To get what you want, you'd have to rip it away by force. That was the largest thing the young boy of silver hair pulled from his childhood.
Anything and everything could be won over.
All other basics he learned from his servants, subjects and basic knowledge only the privileged Imperials would have most access too. He grew up his life snidely looking down on the other boys and girls, staying in his home and shaping into the Sovereign Ruler he was to this day.
In some twist along the way, he became cruel. He cared no more for the actual people in his reign of control than he would a pawn on a board. A checker to move to win. The only problems he admitted to facing as a leader were the small and occasional outbursts from his playing pieces. From time to time, a group would rebel. They were swiftly crushed under his demand.
He feared in silences a larger rebellion. Ones he could pin point or even prove to be true. Were they assassins? No, they were hooligans. Children with knives and poison that didn't know who they were messing with. He was going to show them when the opportunity struck. He would do all in his power to face these... People. Creatures. He wanted to make a show of them, an example to all other citizens and show them what would happen if one was to dare oppose him. He was going to do more than his father ever did. He was going to extend his land and birth of the region as far as he could, as far as the land would go. This is his goal and he doesn't plan to let some petty rumor of assassins bother him or hinder him for one moment.

Maximilian Crow

『Imperial Soldier』 『Male』 『Twenty-eight』 『Heterosexual』『Pureblood Imperial』

『People Know Me Like this...』
-Merciful and kind-hearted, Maximilian paints a sharply contrasting picture to many of the Imperial captains, and remains one of the few commanding officers to possess such a drastically different temperament. Perhaps the greatest reason why he advanced so far despite his ideals is the young man's exceptional wit in strategic matters and intense charisma that brought him the loyalty and devotion of so many lower ranked soldiers. However, this same charisma and idealistic nature is probably simultaneously his greatest strength and most obvious weakness.
From a very young age, Maximilian Crow has possessed the sharp eye to notice the harsh realities surrounding his country and knew without a doubt that there was something horribly wrong with the way the sovereign lord was ruling the land of Mneurian. He agrees with the Children's desire to protect human life, but not their methods, and has more than once spared the life of assassins he'd cornered and defeated from the Children of Faltiera.
Nevertheless, despite his dislike for the sovereign's methods, Maximilian remains loyal to the empire and it people and has developed great skill for hide his distaste for officials he'd rather not speak to. Thankful (for once) of his teachings in politeness and mannerisms, the knight is still capable of holding very intense discussions with Generals and politicians.

『Life as I Know It』-Born and raised within the Imperial capitol of Zegfried, Maximilian was brought up by the Crow family, which were primarily knights and had served as retainers to the sovereign for years and out of time and remembrance. He was taught to act, work and see himself as a servant to the lord as all his fathers before, and his habitual politeness and exceptional manners were a direct result of this tutelage. Speech and Loyalty. Those were the first two things drilled into the boy's head before even the thought of combat training or tactics (though he took to these skills with a skill that suggested he could be compared to a prodigy). However, all of the "die for the empire" training he received was unhinged when the teenage Max happened to get caught in the crossfire between a conflict with Imperial guards and the Children of Faltiera on his way to the training Academy.
A squad of cavalry soldiers known as the Excel Brigade had been harassing civilians living in the slums and lower neighborhoods that the boy's influential family cared little for, even going so far as to commit heinous acts upon innocents for their own amusement. Maximilian happened to see the soldiers heading to the lower districts and curiosity compelled him to follow after, subsequently obtaining a front-row seat to seeing with his own eyes the terrors inflicted upon his kinsmen by those who were supposed to protect them.
From that moment onward, Maximilian's views were forever altered by the experience, and had made it his goal to climb the social ladder within the Imperial military for the purpose of changing the flawed structure from the inside out. He paid numerous visits to the slums to give aid to the people that lived there, outright ignoring warning from his noble parents and failed to shed a single ounce of grief when the Children's Guild assassinated the Excel Brigade. Although suspicious of the young man who paid so much attention to the unfortunate poor, captains could not deny him entry to the military after he passed trial and trial, eventually ascending to the rank of Commander after his superior was poisoned in his sleep.

Kirge Vandualca A.K.A. "Van"

『Imperial』 『Male』 『Eighteen』 『Bisexual』『Rengaulian』

『People Know Me Like this...』
Despite the fact that this young man grew up long after the major skirmishes in Rengaul had long ago been forcefully quelled, Van had learned to despise the Imperial faction since the moment he realized the meaning of hate itself. Despite being fairly intelligent and tactical with his attacks, meeting this individual in person would hardly suggest such abilities, as his main attitude hovers between a perpetual frown and blatant rudeness or outbursts. Easily pegged as the sort of person likely to spit in the face of authority, and sometimes lives up to this in the literal perspective.
Recklessly fierce and massively defensive of his scant remaining family, Van will brook no insults to anyone he cares about to the point where aggressors of his blood will find themselves in immediate danger. His 'victory at all costs' attitude has him swiftly delving into tactics that any army or trained militia would consider to be underhanded and cheap, but Van only sees such methods as necessary to survival. And considering the size and strength of his enemy, perhaps this is only natural.

『Life as I Know It』 Originally a member of an old noble family of Rengaul that held high regards within their country before the Imperials stripped them of their titles and authority. As a General of the Imperial army replaced the Rengaulian regent, the family line of Vandualca--along with several other important families--was removed of its valuables and was forced into poverty as "payment" for their resistance of the Sovereign's expansion. Kirge Vandualca was the third son of the line that still existed, and was born almost a century after Imperial rule was integrated completely upon the people.
On his fourth birthday, the boy witnessed his father--Fraeg Vandualca--killed in a bowmen's firing squad after it was discovered that he was using half of his paycheck in the military to fund resistance uprisings. Two years later, Kirge's older twin brothers were conscripted into the military at the age of sixteen, forced to leave behind their younger brother, infant sister and sickly, bed-ridden mother. Left with no other options, Kirge had to start to work to pay for his family's expenses at a very young age, and had to participate in jobs that no child his age or many adults ever willingly desire. However, in his days of work, the boy saw many horrors that took place in Rengaul, the Empire's most broken and subjugated country. He knew that one day, he would likely be dragged away to the army just as his brothers were and no one would be left to take care of his mother and sister. Without him, they would certainly die.
Out of a combination of good luck and timing, Kirge met a small group of rebels on the outskirts of Uru, a city that used to be the capital of Rengaul. Instead of giving them his first name, Kirge introduced himself as Vandualca and subsequently shortened it to "Van," that he is known as among the rebellion today. Van then found out that this group was the very same one that his father had funded, and told them that the 'mysterious aide' who had been helping them was Kirge himself instead of his father. Coming to an epiphany, the now teen rebel sympathizer asked the group to hide his family in exchange becoming part of their alliance, where Van eventually took charge and extended his hand to the assassins of Mneurian to further his fight for freedom.

『I prefer this...』
-Faltiera's contracts
-Blizzards
-A free Rengaul (sadly only exists in his mind thus far)
-Red Meat

『No Interest』

-Imperials, especially the Sovereign with a blood thirsty rage
-Vegetables
-Sympathizers to the cause
-His mother and sister

『Extra Knowledge』 It is not recommended that one ever comes within a several mile radius of his family while bearing murderous intent, lest they risk the young man tearing them apart with his bare hands if necessary. This is indeed how some of the Imperial scouts met their end when attempting to lure this rebel out of hiding.

Anything Else?
Whenever he's questioned about his personal motives for bringing down the Empire or his methods for doing it, Van has rarely ever felt the need to explain in detail. Most often his reply has become his catchphrase, "**** the Empire!"
