He'd been walking for sometime now, simply enjoying the tranquility and peace that surrounded him, following the little lights that floated listlessly about as if without a care in the world. His creamy white coat stood out against the foliage and greenery, slender, elegant legs crossing slowly in his leisurely walk, golden eyes rolling about slowly as he would look at this and that. A sense of calmness, and even contentness was on his features.Ah, but... his lips did falter slightly, curving just a touch downwards at the edges. There was no other deer in sight... nor familiar to interact with. The elegant stag wasn't used to being alone, nor really liked it all that much. As a fawn he had been surrounded by plenty of other youths and spent his days playing and running about. But he was starting to realize that the life of an adult was more... lonely that he would have liked...

After more wandering, he reached a gently trickling stream, that fell off a small waterfall just a ways up. The ribbon of water was nestled in a woods with tree's that were so tall that their canopy's weren't even reachable even when rearing onto one's hind quarters! They practically touched the sky! Dipping his head, Ixton closed his eyes and began to drink silently, his soft ears folding back against his skull, a little front leg bent daintily. It was very rare for the buck to be in such a melancholy state... usually so outgoing and affectionate, but... without someone around, how could he maintain such a mood?

User Image Wandering endlessly, thats what the knightly buck had been doing for what seemed like...enternity. Today was no different from yesterday, or the day before. In fact, the mist surrounding the trees above felt eerily familiar to the state in his mind. Blue luminescent eyes scanned the area devoid of current life; as Elrohir's hoof falls carried him to a large tree where he leaned forward and scraped the bone against the tough bark; sharpening in case it was ever needed.

There was a pull for him, a pull to reach out and grasp something...but he couldn't figure out what. The tassels on his saddle thudded against his side while he continued to rub against the tree, his eyes serious but lost....it was such a compelling feeling that it was slowly becoming frustrating for the noble creature to be so in the dark.

Where was purpose?

Where was he needed?

All the questions left unanswered, as lost in the fog of doubt like the leaves in the trees above him. Snorting quite loudly as bits and pieces of bark fell on his nose; the grand creature shook the debris from his fur and stood looking at the wreckage he evoked on the tree. What was he going to do?

His sips were slow, nose twitching faintly with each inhale of the water into his mouth and down his throat. It was cool, and felt nice... quenching him most thoroughly. Even with his ears pressed back smoothly, he could still listen to the sweet sounds of the forest. Of birds singing their choral's, and bugs buzzing and flitting about on light wings. The scraping of small claws tearing up the tall tree's to nests that were in those giants for leaves. And the scraping of--- something... else...?

His head lifted slowly, eyes peeling open, ears swiveling forward to an alert stance. What was that...? blinking, Ixton turned his head this way and that subtly to glance in various directions to try and pinpoint or even spot the source... but to no avail. However, his ears were able to pick up on the designated area of the familiar yet different sound that echoed through the relatively quiet forest. And with his sensitive radar's guiding him, he stepped lightly to seek out what the cause was. His dainty hooves placed lightly before him, not wanting to disturb the grasses and leaves below too much and hinder his hearing, cupped ears turning every once in awhile when the echo of the main sound would try and lead him off...

But he found who the culprit was soon enough, even once they'd ceased the scraping. Another buck, standing just before a tree whose body was torn up now. Ahhh, now he understood.. his once slightly depressed features seemed to perk up at the sight of anothers presence, his nubby tail even giving a little flicker as he approached closer to the stranger,

"Hello there~ " he called in a cheery tune, "I was almost afraid I was the only one left in existence, for awhile there~" he chuckled.

A sound behind him wafted to his ears, twisting them before his head followed suit and turned; illuminated blue orbs falling on the mostly white buck. An inaudible breath escaped from his lips as it was near a relief to realize he too was not alone, the realization confirmed by the other who spoke of a similar thought process.

Turning his body as fetlock hooves tenderly stepped on the grass he gazed perhaps a little too long in his stare; before dipping his head low as custom for someone of his noble stature. "Greetings.." He ushered on low but strong tones, flicking his eyes up before his head followed suit. "I was sure it was myself in the mist. It is...a relief to know that I was mistaken.." Elrohir shook out his coat once more; the intricate fabrics attached to his saddle making it a little difficult but he didn't mind...they were apart of him now.

Upon further speculation he did take note they had similar nose patterning, where as his was dipped in white his was with black. Interesting, none the less. "Where is it the others are? Surely....we cannot be the only ones." A bold statement at that, for as Elrohir continued to move forward he was now very close to this other soul. His head was held high as he looked down the short distance to the other guardian, before a faint, kindly smile curled in his lips despite his best posture.

"My name is Elrohir....what is yours?"

His ears pricked curiously at the rather respectful greeting, blinking with surprise. My, he'd never been acknowledged like that before..! It made him attempt to do the same sort of motion, though it wasn't nearly as fluid or grand as the other male's had been. Wow... this buck sure held a grace and air to him, one that sort of intrigued Ixton, and made him want to step closer as if to hope some of it would rub off on him!

But by the sounds of it, both of them were lonely souls this evening, feeling lost in the vastness of their world. Chuckling lightly, a light-hearted expression overcame his features, "Yes, I'd thought I was in a dream from how desolate it's been." only the flora and simpler creatures were to keep him company... "I too am glad to have found my worries cast aside." he took on a more charming gleam to his golden, sharp eyes, which held an intensity to them that he had always been born with. But my... he could admire those glowing orbs that this grand stag possessed... he'd realized, at a young age, that he was quite envious of those who held such a trait. Even one of his childhood friends had them!

With the question posed, he tore his gaze from his new company, looking around them to see nothing but miles of tree trunks and tender grasses, with lower shrubbery placed in random places here and there, "I cannot say. I've been walking for some time now and haven't run into anyone yet." he gave a soft sight, brows knitting softly, "I am not one who enjoys being alone. Having the company of another is far more pleasant, I believe." he glances back to Elro with a playful glint to his features.
"I am Ixton. It's wonderful to meet you, Elrohir. You've kept my sanity from getting the best of me~" he chuckled once more, stepping closer to get a better inspection of the decor set on the darker male's back. "Might I ask... what are these decorations on your back? They're like nothing I've ever seen before~"
