Amphi hissed as she watched the gnomes cleaning out her tank in her room. All in scuba gear and such, the gnomes were literally plaster along the glass beckoning the mermaid to strip down and join them.
She could hear them in there, making all comments about her minipets and her and the water. She slapped her hands on her hips and frowned at them more, no way was she swimming with a bunch of gnomes.
Turning on her heel, she left her room and the cat bubbling gnomes to their devices to maybe go see Roch. Reapers dorms were never unwelcoming to her and she had MANY friends there, if not Roch...Maybe Thana or False or Mac....and if not them maybe she would see the exclusive species known as valkyries AKA Hel or Freya.
She overheard Freya's talking so she didn't really know the ghoul, but she knew Hel from when the Valkyrie trained her.
Once in the reapers dorms though, she realized that the real reason she wanted a reaper was so she could go swimming. And only Roch and Mac were swimmers of the four? Maybe she should visit her boilfriend.
But he was busy with ToTer things right, maybe she shouldn't.
There was a lot of biting of the lip and nervous shuffling in the hallway as the mermaid decided on just who she would ask.

Hel heaved a heavy sigh as she closed the door to her room and shouldered her small bag. Getting back into a routine of sorts was a bit difficult when she had been gone for nearly two Octobers. She had also been trying to include swimming into her routine…but as of late that hadn’t been so successful as well. But now that she had a chunk of time where she wasn’t preoccupied with something else, she decided to dedicate it to swimming. The ghoul spun on her heel and made her way down the hall and down the stairs, and upon exiting the staircase on the first floor, she happened to come across a…rather familiar figure. The reaper paused, her brows furrowing as she openly regarded Amphi. Oh wait…yes! She could recall the ghoul. She had come to her door once seeking to be trained…on recommendations from…Lizzy. That left a bit of a sour taste in her mouth…but that ghoul had been nice and cute enough, so it wasn’t anything against the mermaid at all. Geeze…it felt like that had been a lifetime ago though…well. Maybe it had been. Hel reached up to ruffle her short and choppy locks, and then grinned lightly at the ghoul, waving a bit. “Hey. Long time no see, eh?”

Amphi was seriously considering making Danny go to the hot springs and they could swim in their own pools as desperation for the mermaid when a female reaper came closer to her.
Eyes widening she stared at the ghoul and then looked around.
And then pointed to herself...
And then looked around again.
"Are..Are you talking to me?"
Well duh Amphi, you're the only one there. She studied the ghoul carefully, noting the dark skin tone and red eyes. The ghoul somewhat reminded her of Hel, but Hel was two toned. And had much longer hair.
"Are you Hel's sister?" Because that actually made the most sense. She couldn't help but notice that Hel's family was really well endowned. This ghoul and Hel had both had very large breast.
She wondered if they ate Greens and drank Milk? Then maybe she could tell Victoria that it actually worked!

Hel couldn’t help but glance around now as well. Er…yeah…she was talking to her. There wasn’t anyone else around. “Ah…ya. I am talking to you.” She pointed at the mermaid now, and then choked at her question. Wow…did she really look that different? Huh. The reaper then couldn’t help but laugh a bit now, because well, it was kind of funny.
“I am Hel!”

Amphi stared at Hel longer.
And then stepped closer and reached up to run her hand through the shortened hair.
"How come you're all one color then if you Hel? And you hair got a lot shorter...And..." She gulped as she looked over her shoulders. "What happened to your wings Hel??"

Hel watched as Amphi moved closer and then ran a hand through her shortened locks. At her questions, the reaper couldn’t help but laugh once more. “Ah…those are long and loaded questions, friend…so let us just sum it up to changes, ya? Things happen.” She then reached out and patted a hand on Amphi’s shoulder. “You look good though! I think your hair is a bit longer, ya? Maybe a bit more blue?” Her hand moved to brush through the mermaid’s bangs, and then she skimmed a finger across one of the ghoul’s cheeks.
“You have freckles too!” She chuckled.

"Ah but such drastic changes. You're still very pretty..." She flushed at the touches on her bangs and then her cheek. Her face turning bright red. "Yes. YES! I mean yes. Um I started to show scales!" She was quite proud of the scales that dusted her human skin. It made her feel a little more normal among her brethern.
"Its cause I'm starting to become a full grown mermaid! So things become prettier on me? Like hair and um, scales and stuff! " Said mermaid giggled a little and then looked around, "Are you busy Hel? though you have changed, it has been a long time since we have talked and um..." She smiled up at the ghoul, "If you like swimming, I would like a swimming partner today? I was going to get Roch but he might be busy and I don't want to bother him all the time?"
She waited a beat, "You do um...like to swim right??" OH JACK PLEASE SAY YOU DO HEL.

Hel chuckled. “Well, thank you, friend.” She tilted her head a bit, watching as Amphi turned red. “Ah…freckles! Alright. They look very lovely.” She snorted a bit. “Looking prettier on you?” She echoed. “…I thought you always looked pretty! Ah…” She paused once more, listening to the rambling ghoul, and then nodded her head a bit. “Oh, I am not busy, and I was actually about to go swimming at the lake!” She grinned a bit.
“Ya…I suppose I like to swim…it works out a lot of the muscles so…”

"Oh well......."
SILENCE STRETCHED FOREVER cause anytime someone told Amphi she was pretty, she got nervous and shy and awkward. Her hands clasped together as she ducked her head even more before nodding.
Hel liked to swim and she called Amphi pretty too.
Hel liked to swim...
HEL LIKED TO SWIM.
"WOW!" The mermaid clapped her hands together and smiled brightly at the reaper, baby fangs peeking out over her lips. "And sometimes its even good for just resting, floating after swimming the whole time? Such bliss." She held her hand out for Hel instead, "Well if you don't mind company, I'd love to swim with you! Then you can tell me how you've been! Are you getting ready for graduation things?"

Hel raised a dark brow as Amphi stood there awkwardly in a long silence. Uh…okay then. The ghoul ended up shrugging idly and rubbing her neck a bit before the mermaid finally spoke up again. “Ah…I suppose…I usually just keep swimming though…” She lowered her hand and glanced down at Amphi’s offered one before she just took it firmly in her own. Huh. Her hands were soft and smooth. So unlike her own…it was probably odd how she liked to see her hands in comparison to others.
“Oh, I do not mind at all!” Hel replied, and just went ahead and started to lead the ghoul outside the dorm and to the lake. “Getting ready for graduation…?” She echoed. “…Ah…Kind of? I mean…I have been working on securing my home for after graduation…but as far as graduation goes…” Hel trailed off for a moment. “…Even though I could graduate now, just short of taking the exam…I am not. I am…waiting.”

"We can do that too!" Amphi was practically glowing with bouncy-ness, or maybe she was bouncing with glowy-ness. Ah Hel's hand was so warm! And though a little callous with being a valkyrie, still very feminiely soft. It would be funny to Amphi that both of them were thinking the same thing.
She followed right out after Hel, smiling a lot. She loved going swimming with friends, especially ones she hadn't seen in for awhile.
She was listening intently though as Hel started to speak, "Ah! Homes should be good to have after graduation, I am not sure what I will do after school...?" She'd have to ask Undine about securing her own home, if she decided to stay on land. "Waiting? What are you waiting for?" Amphi moved closer to Hel, curious.

“Heh…well I am glad!” Hel replied cheerfully, humming as she led the mermaid out and across the grounds, to the woods. “Eh…I recommend you start looking into it…but do not fret about it, friend.” The ghoul assured. “…Whatever happens, happens, after all! Sometimes things just happen too…” She trailed off for a moment, noticing that Amphi got closer to her as she asked her question. “Oh uh…I think I am waiting on someone…to graduate too.” She voice grew a bit soft.

Amphi's eye grew wide as saucers. Who would a valkyrie wait to graduate with???
"Is it someone very important? A...love one?" She was whispering now.

Something about talking about this with Amphi and the hushed tones was making it too much of a big deal than it needed to be. Hel didn’t like how this seemed to be turning into a big deal, and Amphi’s curiosity and excitement was making her a bit anxious. She didn’t know why her cheeks felt a bit red, and she made it a point to not look in the mermaid’s direction. “I-it is just Mac!” She snapped, embarrassed. “Not for any particular reason! The a** just does not have many friends so…” Yeah, that was all. That. Was. All.
