So his mother wanted to be involved. She didn't need to. Being the Queen of this messed up Weyr would be more then enough for her to deal with, but what his mother wanted to do he knew she would do either with or without him. He'd rather her do it with him. 'Seth, let Zamanateth know that we are coming to get my mother for an interview with the WeyrlingMaster. Also please alert the WeyrlingMaster's blue, Ogbanuth, that we will be coming to interview him. Ask him where he would prefer to be interviewed.'
Seth nodded. 'Mother, me and mine are coming to get yours to do an interview with the Weyrlingmaster.' he informed Zamanateth as A'vin mounted him and strapped up. He hoped that this one interview would be enough for his mother, though he had a feeling it wouldn't be.
Next he reached out to the blue. 'Ogbanuth, mine A'vin of the Dragonwatch as well as Goldrider Ai would like to interview you. Mine wants to know where you would feel most comfortable having it.' he called out. Where he didn't like saying most names other this his, Ai was different. She was his mother's rider as well as the mother of his.

I am eating. is all Ogbanuth said to the large bronze. He had taken to the sky over the feeding pens half a candlemark ago, intent to find the fattest of them all to feast on. He'd fed only a week ago - barely a stretch by Ogbanuth standards - but hungered regardless. He found, instead, a dead beast baking in the days sun, missed by the beast crafters in their treks. Not he devoured it, carcass torn apart with bloated organs crunching between his teeth, sticky blood clutched to every bit of it.
The sunshine kept it warm and lovely.
V'tyai became more than used to his dragons foul eating habits through the years. He'd settled himself down outside of the feeding ranges, his back against one of the posts of the fence. Half asleep, a wineskin full of (surprisingly) klah by his side and a half eaten biscuit at the other on a small blue checkered cloth. He'd borrowed a few scrolls from the archives in regards to weyrlings and dragon care, on things like that.
All of the fun stuff. I heard him through you, Oggie. Keep eating. Oggie did. v'tyai started to roll up his scroll.

snickered Zamanateth. "Love, I've been dressed." said Ai, finishing her rubdown of Zamanateth by the weyrlake. She had gotten up early so that the sun would dry the dragon's gold hide, and also because she liked to get up early. Zamanateth made a sound between a growl and a croon as Ai rubbed at a sensitive spot. "I want to keep abreast of whats happening here. I am here as a figurehead, a token goldrider and her queen, but mine... we are not figureheads." Zamanateth sneered, "No idea." Ai shrugged on her cloak, "Where are they?"The gold craned her neck as the location was relayed. Was that the blue over there? her tail lashed in anticipation. "All right." Ai secured herself, "I'd rather walk, but it is good weather for flying. Let Seth and the Weyrlingmaster's know we will be there shortly." Zamanateth relayed this to the bronze and the blue. Zamanateth said, cackling as she flew the short distance to the feeding pens, delighting in the air beneath her wings. Shaff, man, Flying was fun.

Well that was rude, but Seth wouldn't say anything. A'vin on the other hand raised an eyebrow. The blue didn't answer really, though they would head to the feeding pens none the less.
When Zamanateth said that she would make sure Ai was clothed both boys seem to blush, well Seth would be blushing if he could. 'Um... Yes, make sure she is wearing appropriate clothing mine says...' A'vin glared at Seth, he did not tell him to say that but he wasn't about to argue that he wasn't thinking it. The two of them took to the sky before making their way to the feeding pen. Seth wasn't hungry, he had ate the day before, but he didn't mind sitting and waiting while the others ate.
It didn't take long for them to get to the feeding pen and landed close enough to V'tyai that A'vin wouldn't have to walk far but not so close that the wind from Seth's wings would distrub the man. When Seth caught a glance of his mother he puffed up his chest a little. 'I didn't know you were coming!' he said happily. Any chance for him to be closer to his mother was one he was going to take!
A'vin waited for the gold to land so he could help his mother, though he shot a friendly smile towards the Weyrlingmaster. Surely he wouldn't mind waiting a little longer, especially since A'vin wasn't sure if he had even really agreed to the little meeting.

Zamanateth did little to impress the feasting blue. He continued his feeding on the bloated corpse, muzzle half buried into the herdbeast. A response to the gold consisted only of a vague acknowledgement and a pass along to his rider. More than accustomed to Ogbanuth and his communication issues, V'tyai continued putting his items away.
He gave A'vin a brief nod of acknowledgement for his friendly smile, tucking the scrolls into his bag and standing. The post didn't shift when the bluerider leaned back against it, one hand tucked into his pocket, sipping at his klah. Having not met any of them save for J'car yet, he... didn't care. Shinies failed to Impress him.
"Afternoon." He said finally.

Zam cackled. A'vin was too old for such things, and she never did that. Ever. Hitting kids was out of line, and reserved for special particulary heinous occasions. <... mine insists she won't actually do that> grumbled Zamanateth reluctantly, then said privately to Ai, she circled in. Sometimes, she did too. In her head.
Zam landed, ignoring the blue and bronze completely while looking at the fat, delicious, blood-filled herdbeasts. She restrained herself only because Ai insisted on getting off her back.
The moment Ai was out of the way and with her dear boy. Zam pounced in gracefully, took down a beast, and moved to a nice space where she could eat it. Ogbanuth liked his prey dead. Her herd beast was still alive and terrified... just how she liked it. She purred. Food was meant to be fun.
Ai ignored her bondmate's eating habits as she approached. She was not intending to impress anybody with her partner. If she made an impression it would be on her own merit. For now, though, she was simply observing.
"Good afternoon." She replied, "You are a busy man, so let us get right to it. A'vin?" she turned to her son with a smile.

Seth nodded. He would make sure that his was on perfect behavior as well! He didn't want to disappoint his mother, nor did he want his to get hit over the nose. 'Yes, mother perfect behavior!' he chimed happily as he gave A'vin a watchful eye. He was glad that Ai wouldn't hit his, he knew that A'vin was glad about it to. He had been worried for a moment, it was something he felt his mother would actually do. Then again Zamanateth would do it, but Ai wouldn't.
He walked over to the bluerider, his mother's arm in his like he often had it. "Afternoon." he said with a nod of his head. "Yes, I'm sure you have your hands full with the new class, I just wanted to ask you a few questions. Specifically what happened on the sand when this clutch impressed." The sooner he got this over with the sooner he could find someone new to talk to, and hopefully his mother would get her fill of interviewing. Really, she needed to be relaxing.

V'tyai would have said 'it's a pleasure to meet you' or something of the sort but... on to the questions. The small man blinked once and crossed his arms over his chest with a droll expression creeping over his face. While it came as a bit refreshing to not have to introduce himself, titles and all, at the very least he could be grumpy over the lack of manners. He always needed a reason.
"It's nice to meet the two of you as well," he said in a voice he hoped to rival the deserts to the side of the weyr. "Which part of it? The murder of the hatchling? The insane Dragonless on the sands? I need specifics." The blue rider paused, eyes going from one to the other and then, finally, resting on the goldriders arm in the bronzeriders. "No one informed me the goldrider would be bringing her weyrmate."

"... Son" she corrected, before A'vin could embarass himself. Zam looked up from her torture kill, Zamanateth tried to repress her snickers. A'vin's attentiveness to her had resulted in nicknames and mistakes (intentional and otherwise). She was not bothered by such pettiness, really. Why be bothered if the lewd implications were not true? Zamanateth was the hothead, and there were other things to worry about. but him... Zamanateth couldn't do it. She couldn't keep a straight face. Eyes, whatever.
"Unfortunately, his father is no longer with us." she said quietly, hoping to defuse the absurdity bomb. She disliked invoking Vervin in this way, but she didn't want her son's over-willingness to defend her honor (or whatever the boy thought he was doing) to cause an incident.
"So let us talk about the issue at hand."
She let A'vin lead her to a rock and sat down, steepling her hands, "Please tell us of all of the parts of the... event... if you don't mind." she said quietly, glancing at A'vin. She would have to let him take control of the situation- it was his interview after all, but she decided to continue, while she had her leeway. "We wish to hear your narrative of the situation" she bit back 'however you choose to tell it', as she had a feeling that that was a poor idea. "... including those events, yes."
