The Eternal Senshi of Danger was at the top of his condition. He was feeling strong and talented and ever so confident, with nothing to bring him down. He felt like he was the strongest goddamn senshi on the block, even though he had plenty of evidence to the contrary.
But none of that mattered.
He was still here, and he was kicking every Chaos butt he could find, and that meant he was doing good. He leaped from a tall roof and fell quite a daring distance to the next roof, landing hard enough to likely wake up anyone on the floors below. He didn't stop, though, running to the next one and leaping away as fast as his legs could carry him.
He was having fun. He had all but forgotten all doubt, all fear. All he knew was a dedication that he had never thought himself capable of. Him! Loyal and devoted to some cause. He didn't care about space queens and all that garbage, but he cared about his fellow white moon senshi, and he fought for them. He even fought for innocent lives.
If someone had told him that a few years ago, he probably would have punched them.
Tonight he was just out pushing his limits, jumping and climbing and running, putting his body through its paces. He wasn't out on patrol tonight, though he'd probably stop if he saw something worthwhile and he wasn't too worn out.

Something worthwhile was waiting in the night not too far off from where the Senshi of Danger was going through the paces. Sailor Navi, Dark Mirror Senshi of Tumbleweeds, newly awakened into a power to rival his own eternal state. No longer the scantily clad rookie she had been when they'd started their affair, but more. So much more. A gutsy of wind brought ginger hair swirling along pale, freckles kissed features, and she brought a gloved hands up to tuck the wild curls back behind an ear. The mid drift bearing fully had evolved. Now corsets and fringe, with long boots that climbed her legs to mid thigh. She could feel him, out there in the night, and although she longed to close the distance between them all the quicker, she kept her perch on the edge of a tall apartment complex. He would feel her, and he would come to her. Of this there was little doubt. All she had to do was be patient. It wasn't always get strong suit, but something's were worth the wait. A familiar knot of emotion had settled in the pit of her stomach. It had been a while since they'd met up in the park. Her own damn fault, she'd let her civilian life over shadow her senshi duties, but as a freshman in college sometimes her studies stole her attention. Specifically midterms. It wasn't a great excuse, but she did have a life and a future to think of, didn't she? Still, she'd neglected the things she called above all else, and she wondered how this meeting would go down.

Chaonis felt the aura of a Chaos soldier nearby and paused after one of his ridiculously long leaps. He caught his breath, focusing on the aura and turning in its direction, recognizing this particular signature, though it was different now. Stronger.
It seemed the Dark Mirror senshi he had come to develop a very complicated relationship with had made it that much more complicated. She must have gotten herself upgraded, and was now level to him as far as 'rank' went.
He paused for maybe half a second before he moved toward it, altering his path and leaping to a different building than he had been planning before. He followed the aura until he saw her perching at the top of a tall building, which he leapt at but had to climb up. He hauled himself onto the edge of the roof, peering at her from only a few feet away.
"Look who's all grown up," he said almost leisurely, though he felt his chest tightening in a way he did not like. He didn't enjoy feeling tense and out of his element. Out of control. But that was exactly how he felt.

She watched him coming as he drew near to her perch. Saying from rooftop to rooftop, leaping and bounding as if it cost him no effort whatsoever. That wasn't entirely the case, but what had seemed so very impressive before, was now a little less so. Strength wise, medical enhancement not withstanding, he was certainly at the advantage, but it would no longer be the one sided battle it had been in the past. Pale lips curled up in a smile as bent forward to watch him climb his way up to her, and she chuckled at his getting. "Mmhmm, and with shiny new wings and everything." Jet black feathers framed her hips. Graceful and dark as raven wings. It wasn't the only change to note. She met his dark gaze, and there was a new confidence in the soft hazel of her eyes. She'd always stood up to him, walked that razors edge of danger, but there was less fear now. He was still dangerous, nothing would ever really change that, but she could defend herself now, if need be. She hoped there would be no reason. "Have you missed me?" A tiny movement of her head brought eyes to her lap, and a fall of ginger curls to hide the side of her face. Shielding her expression, and the worry she wouldn't let leak into her voice.

Beejoux "Mine are better," he grunted, motioning to the plastic wings on his own hips. He grinned at her, tilting his head and looking her over. It was certainly not a look he could turn his nose up at. She looked gorgeous, if he was honest, which he wasn't. So he would go with 'okay' and keep the rest of his thoughts to himself for now. She was still a Dark senshi after all, and had been further corrupted. That just made this whole thing even worse. Or better? At her question, his cocky grin wavered and he looked thoughtful, almost. He blinked and looked at her. Had he missed her? He thought about her, definitely, but did that count as missing her? He wasn't sure he really understood the question. He folded his arms over his chest. "I dunno, did you miss me?" he ventured, since he liked to deflect things that made him think too hard.

Evasive as always. The dark senshi made a soft noise somewhere between amusement and inpatients as she got to her feet. It had always been a challenge getting to get an honest answer out of him where his feelings were concerned. She didn't answer him right away, nit verbally, but she did close that small distance between them. Waking closer with that familiar, ever so devious smile paying along her lips. A delicate hand came to rest at the bottom of his body armor, and she used that touch to balance herself on her heels as she rose to her toes. The kiss was chaste. A mere press of her mouth against the side of his neck. It was all she could reach, even with the heels, unless he bent to her. "You have to ask?" Of course she missed him, she always did when their time apart stretched to far. She touched his chin, the tips of her fingers sliding along the side of his jaw to bury in the warmth of his hair at the nature of his neck.

Chaonis watched her as she moved closer to him. She was the only being of Chaos that could ever move into his personal space without immediately getting punched in the face. Quite the opposite, in fact. He watched her with interest, that feeling in his chest turning from a tight anxiety to a slow burning.
He tilted his head when she moved to kiss his neck, closing his eyes briefly before taking a slow breath and grinning at her.
"You asked first," he said, but that was unfair. His emotional walls were a lot thicker than most, so it was just and reasonable to ask him things like that. If he was, in fact, feeling any sort of emotion.
He watched her, that burning in his chest moving to each point her hand lighted over his skin, and he understood it a bit better. He bent closer, catching her lips with his for a proper greeting. If anything about them was proper.

"True enough, but then it's never quite clear what you're thinking or feeling." She all but purred at him, cheek sliding over the warmth of his throat before he tipped his head to catch her lips in a proper hello. He might not have verbalized his feelings often, but the kiss spoke volumes, and she melted against him, relief making her knees a little weak. With that one kiss she had her answer. A soft sound rose up from the dark senshi, and she gave the young man a gentle bite on his lower lip. She hadn't forgotten the taste or feel of his kiss, but it had been a while, it her heart was hammering in her chest. Fingertips tingling where they rested against the hard plastic of his armor. It was always electricfying, being with him. A force that was impossible to explain, but completely undeniable. After a moment, or maybe an hour, she drew back an inch, bumping his nose with her own before smiling at him. The world always seemed to melt away when she was with him. And with it any worries, obligations, or emotional ties.

Chaonis couldn't help himself and he knew she couldn't either. Whatever it was between them, it was strong and it was dangerous, in its way. Not just because he was involved, which seemed like a given considering his sphere, but simply because of the stakes at play. They were enemies and they knew it.
But it hadn't stopped them so far.
He lost track of himself through the kiss, not drawing too far away from her as she broke the kiss and smiling despite himself. He didn't smile very often, if anyone watched him carefully. He smirked and grinned, sneered and they were never all that sincere.
But when he smiled he looked like a different person. Almost calm, maybe even nice. Very few people had the ability to make him smile.
"I guess it has been a while. I don't suppose you've realized how lame the dark side is in all that time?"

She valued the smiles he showed to her, every single one, because she knew how rare they were. Real, genuine smiles did not come easily to the senshi of Danger, but she could pull such emotions out of him. It made her kiss him again, a brief brush of those so soft lips before she let herself ease off her tiptoes to rest more sure footed. His question made her chuckle, and she lifted her hand to rest delicate fingers over his mouth. The look he received was eloquent. He knew better then to ask that, as she knew better then to ask him to join her within the dark mirror. He hadn't been fully serious when he asked, so she wasn't upset, but that line of questioning, even in jest, led nowhere she wished to go. After a second or two she dropped her hand again, moving to place it instead against his hip. "I'm sorry I keep disappearing for long periods of time. Life has a way of consuming you." She frowned, then chuckled softly. "It won't keep happening though, that much I can promise." She'd settled into her class, she'd gotten a handle on her new powers. Nothing was going to keep her from her duties and the man she held in her arms. Well, maybe mid terms.. But a week wasn't nearly the same as the months that had separated their last meeting.

Chaonis knew, really, that she would never stop being a DMC, just as he would never stop being a White Moon. Not as long as they had the choice in it, which was necessary on both sides, though he didn't really know that.
He dropped the topic as she rested her hand over his lips, to make him stop speaking about it anyway. He didn't really feel like arguing, for once.
At least not about that.
"Yeah, I guess I can understand that," he said with an easy shrug. He liked to pretend that he had no obligations, but he very clearly did. He was a loyal senshi and he patrolled regularly, whether he was messing with someone, training others, or doing something lawbreaking at the same time.
He had his arms around her, holding her loosely but not carelessly. He kept her close, comfortable. It was easy to hold her and easy to slip back into their little routine.
"That's good though. I can only be forgiving so many times, you know."

What neither knew was that even if Navi had wanted to join him in within the ranks of the crystal moon, she couldn't have. Purification wasn't an option for the those awakened through the Dark Mirror, but as of yet, no one was aware of that, not even them. That point, however, was moot. Eternal Navi was loyal to her court, and truly believed in the ambitions of her queen and those that lead them. Just as she knew Chaonis was loyal to his. The topic was dropped, and it would be the last they spoke of it that night. Happily she rested in the circle of his arms, her own draped up around his shoulders so dainty fingertips could play with the short hairs that grew at the nape of his neck. "And I can only expect you to forgive so many absences." An amused sound followed her words that was not quite a laugh, and she tipped her head to look up at him, hazel eyes thoughtful. That gentle smile never leaving her lips. After a moment she pushed at his chest until he'd let his grip on her loosen enough for her to step clear of his arms, but she caught his hands before they could return to his sides. "Come with me," she urged, tugging gently as she began to walk backwards, towards what appeared to be a roof top garden. It was an herb garden, with a few flower planters scattered about for color. The blossoms were closed to the moon light, but the air still smelled sweet. She'd come to this roof top because of the this little touch of paradise, not at expecting her prince, but they could disappear within, lost to the city around them.

Chaonis felt oddly at peace when he was with Navi, which was very strange considering how complicated she made his life. He thought he knew what he was and who he was, but those facts changed when she was near him. He was still loyal, cocky and a bit of a jerk, but his absolute view against all things Chaos was obviously not as absolute as he thought it was.
He sighed and cuddled her to him, though she was moving away in short order. He blinked at her in confusion for a moment, then followed her.
"Where are we going?"
He let her guide him into the herb garden, glancing around thoughtfully. It was a nice, quiet little place where they could just escape for a little while, and be together without anything, not even the stars in the evening sky, watching them. He gripped her hands and moved to the side, spinning her with him before tugging her close and kissing her.
He gave up on putting any thought to the night.

She grinned up at him as she pulled on his hands, walking backward towards the little garden. "Somewhere private, and peaceful, and just for us." Neither owned the herb garden, but the tonight it would be their's. A movement of his hand pulled her into an easy twirl as they disappeared behind the neat rows of flowering bushes, and she melted into that kiss as he claimed her lips. Dainty hands falling to rest on his arms, fingertips gripping tightly as if she might fall. Which, with how weak her knees went when he touched her, wasn't so far from the truth. They kissed, and enclosed in their little slice of heaven, Sailor Navi let the world around them fade to nothing. There was no war, no split between order and chaos. Only them, only that moment. She came back from the kiss breathless and flushed, with laughter on her lips and emotions heavy in those soft hazel eyes. "Kiss me too fiercely. Hold me too tight.," she murmured up to him. "I need help believing you're with me tonight." Line from a musical that had been theirs from the moment they'd met. He was her Fiyero, her secret lover, and she was the wicked witch that had bespelled him. Ah, but she was under his spell as well. Falling, willingly, for someone that was supposed to be her enemy. Would he run, if she told him how she felt? She didn't know, so the words did not come out.

Whenever they got close, anything that seemed to make sense just vanished, fluttered away like a caged bird given a chance at freedom. What was left was a sort of idealized space of time, a spot in the history of the world that was just theirs and nothing else mattered.
He tugged her into a nice, quiet little area of the garden, kneeling and bringing her with him. He kissed her again and it was all he really needed to know or think about. Or not think about.
He was beginning to think he did that too much. Think. Trying to justify whatever this was would just have them chasing their own tails. For tonight, and any other time they were together until their world finally collapsed around them and reality came crashing in, they were lovers. Connected. There did not need to be any further explanation.
As long as she was his, he was hers.
