It was a rather slow trek up the stairs. Hel couldn’t remember the last time she was this worn out and drained. Between hiking Jack knows how many miles, a long train ride, threatening Mot’s ghoulfriend and an emotional gut-spilling with Gramps, Hel almost just wanted to curl up on these steps and go to sleep. She was too stubborn for that though, when her bed was only a few floors up, and through persistence she finally reached the third floor landing of the reaper dorms.
She paused as she reached the top though, and leaned heavily on the staircase banister with a loud and weary sigh. Almost there…

Shun was just on his way out when he spotted a rather familiar form on the landing of the third floor. Furrowing his brow, he focused more on her to find that it was indeed a certain valkyrie. One that had been rather MIA for some time.
"Ah, seems that you're back, Hel," he commented.

Hel’s head snapped up as she heard foot steps and then a voice. Despite how tired she was, a bit of a grin couldn’t help but pull at her lips once she saw who it was. “Ya! I am.” She replied. “Just as you went on a journey, I went on my own as well.”
She shifted her large bag, and idly rolled her shoulders.
“It has been a while, Shun. How are you?”

The Reaper nodded in understanding at that. Sometimes, people just needed to go on their own personal journeys for one reason or another.
"Been well I suppose. Pretty soon I must go meet with Kaitou, however," he said with a murmur. By soon, he meant he was leaving in the next day or so. Though, he figured he wouldn't be gone for as long as the one time he and Mitsu went off to spend time away from the school. Still, it was a bit of a journey in its own right.

“…Ah.” Hel’s brows furrowed a tad. His father…that reaper she met at the festival.
Not much to say on the matter though…it was what it was. “…Will you be gone long?” She asked, hoping he wouldn’t be.

"No. I'll likely be out between a few days or a week at the most. Mitsu will be accompanying me though," he said. It was a fairly short trip. How long he spent there would depend on a variety of factors. Shaking his head, Shun recalled one other thing.
"Oh yes. Now that you're back... I might have to suggest getting a soundproofing charm.. for Mac's room," he said, his tone a little flat as he spoke. He still had to question her choice here.

“Oh, good.” She genuinely seemed relieved, and pleased as well. She was happy that Mitsu was going with him as well, though that bit of a good mood was instantly soured by his next words.
Hel’s expression went a bit flat, and her brows furrowed. “Why?” She asked. “Is it bothering you?”

"Not I. Mot," Shun stated simply before eyeing Hel a little more critically. She pretty much just confirmed things herself. With a sigh, he shook his head slowly.
"Of all the people.." he muttered under his breath.

Hel’s brows furrowed more, and that look Shun was giving her was rubbing her the wrong way. Not to mention the subject of Mot being brought up. “So Mot told you, eh? Is that so?” She placed a hand on her hip then, and her fingers went tense on the banister.
“Also, what is with that look, and what do you mean, ‘of all people’?”

"I thought you knew full well how things are between Mac and I," he said flatly. Just going off of that, Hel could probably figure out his sense of disapproval.
"In case you hadn't... I'm murdering him one of these days."
A fact that he had told Lizzy straight up numerous times while she was dating the guy.

“Oh, I am aware there is mutual dislike on both sides.” She replied, and his next words caused her to bristle. “No, you are not!” She burst, the hand on her hip immediately pulling into a fist.
“You will have to go through me first, and if you do lay a hand on him, I will end you!”

Shun placed his hands into his pockets as he stared down at the Valkyrie rather coolly.
"So then that's what it's going to come down to."

“Ya. It is.” She replied heatedly. Her poor mood already wasn’t helping her in the slightest.
“He is not the monster you all like to paint him out to be, and you of all people have no place to judge! Also, you know what, Shun?” Hel started. “I am surprised Mot has not told you what else happened!” Her tone became scathing and mocking now, and she threw her hands up in the air in exasperation. “Since the boil is such a <******** gossip…well..I am certain he would tell you sooner or later, because he just loves to let everyone know how I wronged him, so you know what? I will just tell you.” She rested her hands on her hips now. “I cheated on him. With Mac. While he was with Lizzy as well.”
She did not look the least bit remorseful after she dropped that, and if anything, she raised her chin haughtily and waited to see what the Grim would say next.

Mac was on his way back to his room when he heard the voices, enough to make him pause on the staircase, just out of sight. That was...Hel's voice? She was back? Really? Something in his stomach twisted pleasantly, his heart constricted in a very----not...excited...way...
So what if Hel was back. It didn't mean anything! N-nope...
Wait, who was she talking to? Shun? The Psychopomp shifted a bit, quietly taking another two steps to try and hear what they were going on about. It didn't take long for him to overhear some key words, just enough to make him connect the dots:
Hel was telling Shun that he'd cheated on Lizzy.
Fantastic.
Well, that was his cue to leave!
Mac turned around and started right back down the stairs, perhaps forgetting to be quiet about it.

"I never claimed him to be a monster. I'd just rather slit his throat than shake his hand. I don't think I'll ever understand what you or Lizzy saw in him," Shun said flatly. As far as the tidbit of information that Hel dropped, the reaper frowned and stared at the Valkyrie for a few moments in silence.
He didn't seem angry, if that was what she was expecting. This news of her being the one Mac had cheated with was surprising to say in the least, but it didn't piss him off.
"I expected better of you," he said quietly. He would have walked off then and there, but he noticed that Mac was approaching.
