Twelve hours of sleep and something like sixteen hours of anime -- in other words, Veer's usual schedule, once upon a time -- and nowhere in that time had Veer quite remembered that he needed to eat. It meant it was about one in the morning when he finally ventured out in search of something other than the contents of the fridge. There wasn't a cent in his pocket, which meant he had to innovate.

It meant powering up into uniform. It meant a bit of trouble, and a bit of theft.

At this hour, there was only one lone young man sitting in the Chinese restaurant, and one bored-looking staff member running both the desk and the kitchen. A dark-moon Super, all on his own, would have very little trouble easing in while the one was in the kitchen and drain the other.

Then steal his dumplings.

Al-Janah was humming as he left the restaurant, take-out box in hand and a dumpling in his mouth, to make his way down the street. Not toward home, not yet. He'd wander a bit, first.

It's seemed that Alfheim and Zia had cursed Phina because she'd gone out for a drink a few nights ago and got attacked by a youma, only this time there was no Alfheim to save her and she was literally bestowed with a olive branch and became on of the night time heros, or whatever they wanted to call themselves.

She had told either party that she'd become what Zia wanted to possibly be and what Alfheim was. All she should really do is turn tail and run after being attacked and now she was out again powered up in this 'new' body. New because she seemed to be stronger and faster which was odd. While she was certainly fit enough this was a different sort of feeling all together.

Even more so there were a lot of different feeling around as she walked, some lighter some darker. It was all very weird and new, a bit frightening, but her curiosity was getting the better of her and so she decided she'd go out for just a bit, maybe try to find Alfheim and tease him a bit.

A beacon; Al-Janah paused with a second dumpling almost in his mouth, the box clutched under one arm, and considered the white moon light that flared up like a signal on radar. He, at least, knew what it meant, was even well-versed enough to realize one very important thing: easy target.

With a hum, he downed the rest of the dumpling and took off at a quiet trot -- keeping in close to the buildings, dark against dark, and eating as he followed her down the street. He had, after all, been looking for trouble, and this seemed like just the ticket.

Lyceum wasn't really aware that she was being followed, not really. It was more an awareness that someone else was around, a darker someone. She was not, however, aware of that someone's proximity to her, nor of his intent to cause trouble which was the last thing she needed.

She headed for the last spot she'd seen Alfheim turning into the alleyway she'd taken the day he 'saved' her from a youma, which hadn't lasted long. She grinned wondering just how long it would take for him to show up in the area again and if it would be better to try to search elsewhere. She just wasn't sure enough with the whole situation, to be comfortable searching because of what she didn't want to find.

Lyceum leaned against the wall deciding to wait for a little while before she called it a night.

A year ago, Al-Janah would have charged blindly into the hallway, unthinkingly tumbling into just about any trap. Now, instead, he hesitated. He paused. He counted to about ten, took the time to finish off the last dumpling, and then eased around the corner to trigger whatever might be waiting.

He was lucky that Lyceum was even less well versed in these things than he was.

Newbie that she was, at a glance she might think he was a regular senshi: a fuku outlined in the light of the street, a silhouette that hid much of the black. As her eyes adjusted, though, he'd come into focus as the DMCer he was. She just needed to learn what that meant.

He squinted at her, too, eyebrows raised in a somewhat speculative sort of way. "Lost?"

Lyceum looked up at the voice, still leaning against the wall. She didn't know the dangers of the other side aside from being apart of the huge battle at city hall. So she sort of just looked at him and shook her head.

"No not lost, just waiting," she said turning away from him and not paying the guy much attention. She fully expected him to continue on his way and leave her to wait for a bit longer. She didn't know what he was and didn't really care at the moment, she hardly knew the difference between senshi or even that there were different kinds.

"I've no need for a knight in shining amour tonight," she said with a smirk before moving away from the wall and starting to head further down the alley.

Al-Janah still held the dumpling box -- now empty, except for the leftover juice and the small pot of dipping sauce. He considered it for a moment, and then the retreating knight, and took the only logical course of action.

He threw it at her.

Of course, he wasn't a very good shot. It meant that he missed her head, and the box was more likely to careen off her shoulder, to smash against the narrow alley wall. No way it would do damage, but it would probably splatter her with the aforementioned goopy, cold, salty-and-sticky contents.

"Good thing I'm not one, then, huh?"

Lyceum glared at the other who had thrown some sort of food container at her, missing, but still getting her splattered with the remnants of the container in her hair and on her face.

"Seriously, what's your problem! That's no way to treat a lady," she said rather irritably, arms crossed tightly over her chest, her whole posture saying you owe me an explanation, very sassy.

She just wanted to wait around a bit on her own, in hopes Alfheim would come along and she could harass him, but instead she seemed to get a fellow red-head who was extremely rude. Really she didn't think she'd ever had a guy throw, well anything at her, except maybe water.

For a moment, Al-Janah thought about that -- crossing his own arms in a mirror of her own, cocking a hip out to one side, and raising both eyebrows. His reply, when it came, was clever enough to leave him pleased with himself, but perhaps dumb-enough to leave her rolling her eyes:

"Good thing you're not one, then, huh?" And there it was, his flash of a grin, his chin raised an his eyebrows narrowed as he took her in.

"What are you supposed to be?"
PostPosted: Sat Apr 06, 2013 3:26 pm

Lyceum was not at all amused by his mimicking her and even less pleased at his response to her. Her expression went stony and she looked ready to slap the stupid grin off his face. She was most certainly a lady and there was only one time she could be considered anything but and that was behind closed door and that one time in the park. Okay, so maybe, she wasn't the shining example of a lady one thought of when they heard the word, but she was still one.

"Says the d**k in the weird outfit, wearing a tiara. I guess you would know what constitutes a lady than princess," she said with a smug smile. She liked banter and it wasn't often she got the change to be just outright rude.

Her arms unfolded she put a hand on her hip, "I'm Lyceum, Page of Polaris. What exactly are you suppose to be because you look half way stuff between miniskirted warrior of justice and a page yourself."

"I'm fully into the realm of miniskirted warrior of...well, not of justice, at least." He echoed her again, in an easy sort of way: hand settling onto his hip, as well, and his jaw tipped up. It didn't look like her insults had hit, judging from the grin on his face, but in reality that was just a veneer laid over some annoyance. He actually was a bit sensitive about the damned tiara. Fingers crossed for something better at eternal --

"Al-Janah, Super Senshi of the Dark Mirror Court." He didn't bow. He wasn't a gallant gentleman, nor a knight in shining armor, as they'd already established...and she wasn't a lady, anyway. Also established. He grinned again.

"I think you were expecting something else. I'm here to kick your a**."
PostPosted: Wed Apr 17, 2013 9:28 am

Lyceum quirked an eyebrow his stressing of the word super and shook her head, "okay, um Al Janah ... that's wonderful for you that you feel that way, but you're kind of lacking in the miniskirt department, not that you wouldn't probably look fabulous in one. I have no problems with that sort of thing if that's what you like Princess." She smirked enjoying antagonizing the guy.

She held in her amusement, keeping herself from answered as she continued on with her antagonizing, "... it is a nice a**," she admitted, "but isn't it a bit odd that you want to kick it. Seriously I'm not into that, but maybe some other time."

She fully intended on walking away, she didn't feel like fighting. Amusing banter was just fine, but she wasn't too keen on an actual exchanging of blows.

Al-Janah even let her go about ten paces, head tipped to the side to consider that a**, poorly obscured by the tight costume she wore. She had a point there, at least, one that raised his eyebrows and his shoulders in a quick shrug, but not one that changed his opinion --

"Janah Rake." It was rolling, amused, and she'd miss the careless gesture that went along with it, Al-Janah's finger up toward the sky. She'd be less likely to miss the shriek from above, the circling, ghostly falcon above her.

"One more step and he'll take your eyes out."
PostPosted: Tue Apr 23, 2013 5:07 pm

Lyceum didn't get very far before she heard the boy speak, followed screech of a hawk and a threat which had her spinning around and glaring at the boy very irritated. She really didn't have time for this and even more so she was really irritated that the boy got a hawk and she got a stick.

"What part of me walking away did you seem to misinterpret? I do not want to play with you, Princess. Save your costumed fun for somebody else because I'm not interested."

She spun her heel, ignoring the warning Al-Janah gave her and continuing on her way down the alley, oblivious to the fact that she was about to receive a back full of talons.

Feel free to say the bird gets her good.

She'd get it: the bird diving from above to rake its claws down her spine, to shred the back of her costume. It wasn't, probably, enough to do any real damage, to leave lasting scars -- but it was enough to draw blood, and to leave angry rents in the cloth. Had he used his stronger attack, she would have been knocked to the ground, too; as it was, at most, she'd be off-balance.

Still, perhaps that was long enough for him to swallow a few steps between them, his tone dry and his movements casual. "Interested or not, you put on your outfit this morning. And painted a huge target on your back. Want to try that again?"
