It was a strange sight to be certain as Kettil marched along with a couple of fishing poles in one hand, tackle box in the other, and a bucket slung over his shoulder tied to a rope that held other fishing paraphernalia. The Muut looked like he'd ran into a fisherman and then stole all of his things before just continuing on with his day as if nothing was wrong.
In truth all of the gear belonged to him. Slowly he'd begun amassing it and now he was putting it to good use. Just today he'd bought a net to help with the catches; the net was currently tucked under his arm.
It didn't take him too long when he arrived at the small lake he fished at from time to time. He settled in his favorite spot by a tree. Everything needed to be arranged just so. He didn't need a chair, nor did he need a rock to sit on, he would stand and fish like a real man.

Hel also happened to be at the lake today, though she wasn’t fishing at this moment. Instead, the reaper was skipping stones, as she found it to be an active yet relaxing motion. The ghoul paused though, as she heard some movement from nearby, a flat stone in hand and a brow raised as she turned. She stared at Freya’s boil toy for a long while, vaguely recalling that the last interaction she had with him was during the All Hallow’s Even party, where her and her sister got into a rather ugly spat.
Hrm.
“You got my feather brained sister with you?” She called out after a moment.

Kettil was about ready to get into the fishing part of his little outing when suddenly someone called out to him. He looked over and saw Hel and in spite of everything he smiled at her and shook his head, "Nah. She's not here right now. You lookin' for her?"
If anyone else insulted Freya? He'd likely be much more defensive, but Hel got a lot more leeway thanks to 'sisterhood'.
He quietly went about baiting a hook as he waited for her to reply.

“Nah, I am not.” Hel replied. “Though, I suppose if she was with you, I would have heard her long before I saw you…plus she is not hard to find.” Hel then turned and skipped the stone, watching as it skipped six times before it flopped into the water. Now empty handed, she turned back to Kettil, resting her hands on her hips.
“Any reason you got more than one fishing pole, then?”

Kettil laughed, "True enough. She is a very enthusiastic ghoul."
The boil fiddled with the hook a moment longer, "In case someone wants to fish with me or in case I break my other rod, whichever happens first," he replied in a chipper tone.
There was a roll of his shoulders, "As of late everytime I go fishin' someone either joins me, so I figure it couldn't hurt~."
After a few seconds he made a practice cast of his line to make sure nothing got all tangled up, "Skippin' stones is pretty fun, ya?"

Hel snorted softly. Enthusiastic. Yeah. That sounded right. She watched as Kettil made a practice cast with his line. “Hmmm? Oh…ya, it is.”
She was silent for a moment, waiting and watching. “Catch anything good out here?”

He let out a small laugh, "Out here? I caught mostly boots and weird animals," he made a small face.
"Also nudie magazines...And underwear," he looked less and less enthused as he went on. He shrugged his shoulders as if to discard whatever he was thinking.
"You wanna fish with me?" Kettil glanced at her he almost looked hopeful.

Hel’s face fell into a rather perplexed expression. Weird aninals…boots…underwear and nudie magazines?
“…Wha-what!?” She echoed. “…You do not catch any fish out here?” Hel’s face was now a mixture of disappointment and curiousity. Nudie magazines and underwear…really? Really? Now Hel was really curious. At Kettil’s offer, she squinted, staring at him for a long while before she shrugged. “Eh, alright. Why not?” She abandoned her spot on the shore to make the short trek to where Kettil sat perched underneath his tree, and took a spot on the roots next to him.

"Well you can catch fish. I just haven't managed to catch very many myself. Either I am not using the right bait or I am a very poor fisherman," he laughed and shrugged his shoulders as he leaned and picked up his extra fishing pole to offer to Hel.
He let out a low whistle, "Know how to cast or do you need a lesson?"

Hel took the pole, and wasted no time in making sure it was ready to go before she pulled it back and let it fly. “Nah. I got it.”
In reality, Hel didn’t fish too much though because it involved patience, which was something she didn’t have. It was different this time around though, since she had company…and the promise of interesting things. Not too long after casting, she felt a tug on her line already. “Woah!” She called out, and reeled it in…
Only to find a pair of boxers on the end with an odd stain on them.
Hel’s face went blank.
She then looked at Kettil. “You were not pulling my leg.”

He gave a small nod when she told him that she had this handled. The Muut cast his line and waited, his head turning to see Hel's catch. It seemed that the underwear still infested the lake, he wasn't sure that was a good or bad thing.
Kettil uttered a short laugh at her words, "Nope! I wasn't exaggerating in the slightest. I caught a bunch of boots one day. I was not pleased."
There was a bit of a fight on the end of his line suddenly making him jerk his attention back to his fishing pole. After a few moments of reeling, tugging, and work he got the fish reeled in and netted, "Huh...Looks like a bass!"
"What are your feelings on fish for dinner?" He asked cheerfully.

Hel flicked the pair of questionable boxers off of her line, discarding them to the side and out of the water. “Ugh, ya…”
She set her line up and flicked it out again. Her attention was directed over to Kettil though, as he actually caught a fish. “Ah…good catch!” She complimented, and then felt a tug on her line. “Ah!” She reeled it back in…and then found that her bait was missing. “Damn it.” She muttered, and put some more on her hook before casting it back out.
“Fish for dinner?” She echoed, glancing over at him. “Sounds fine to me!”

"..Yeah that'll happen as well," Kettil observed as her line came up empty. Things stole the bait and ate it safe and unhooked. He quietly set the bass off of his line and to the side so it could be prepared later. It seemed a good enough size to cook up and eat and healthy too!
He seemed rather excited at the prospect of eating the catches they made that day, "I can't get Freya to eat fish. I can get her to eat most everything else but not fish," he said thoughtfully as he cast his line. "Usually it's just me eating the fish if I fish on my own and catch any."
The Muut felt another series of tugs and though he fought valiantly his line also came up empty, "Tricky..."

Geeze. What kind of fishing was this? Oh well.
Hel glanced over at Kettil once more, and then cackled. “Oh ya, Freya is not fond of fish at all…” She cackled again. “You see, when Freya started getting into boils…I played this trick on her once. I told her that this boil she was crushing on told me he wanted to meet her by the river near our home, and that once she got there she needed to close her eyes and wait. So the silly ghoul did! Then, I came up to her with a cat fish you see, and then I made her kiss it. Except she thought it was the boil she liked, and then she started to slip it some tongue…until the fish croaked.” Hel laughed now. “Ah, the look on her face…”
Hel was pulled from her musings though as she felt a tug on her line. “Ah! This one feels like a fish this time!” She reeled it in with a harsh tug, and it came sailing out of the water with a rainbow and—
Wait…a rainbow? Follow by some kind of theme song that she had heard one too many times in the hall.
“Oh, ******** no!” The ghoul screeched, and she immediately leapt to her feet and kicked the Nyan fish back into the water.

Kettil paused a moment and stared at Hel as she told the story and then started to laugh. A lot.
He didn't chide her. He didn't disapprove. He only laughed simply because it was an awesome prank. A prank pulled between siblings. Kettil always approved of pranks even at Freya's expense and besides this was far back before him.
"Good play! Sad thing about that prank is you can only do it once," He chuckled a bit as he adjusted his fishing pole and cast once more. Kettil gave a small cringe as he recognized the fish she caught, "Yeah...Good work sending that one back to the depths. I dunno if they are good eating..."
There was a series of tugs on his line that caught his attention. He managed to reel in a rather large fish. It appeared to be a rainbow trout. "Mmmm...? Seems good!"
