Many things had happened in the last few months.. including the fact that Lacie had grown to Year 2. Ever since the horsemen trials, the reaper had lived a quiet life. She had passed her time preoccupied with her classes. Sitting on a bench outside on the school grounds, on a fairly sunny day in Amityville, she clasped her hands together tightly. There were many fun events.. festivals, and particularly in the last month, Scarentines! Lacie enjoyed those events very much. But she wasn't unaware of the current state of Amityville. She knew that there were things going on in the shadows.. but she wasn't exactly sure what. She didn't have the courage to ask her friends.. at least until now.
Her minipet, disgruntled by her mood, gently nudged her hand. It brought Lacie back to her current environment, realizing that she had a trouble expression despite it being a wonderful day. "Sorry about that." She apologized with a smile. Bringing out her lunch, she looked thoughtfully at the sky while nibbling on bread with sweet filling. it seemed that today would be a good day, that anything could happen.

Sometimes, you didn't see a person for a long while. And when you did see them again, it could be either very good, or very bad, depending on how you parted last. Frost rarely parted ways with those on rocky ground, and Lacie was one who while he'd known her only breifly, he didn't think they had parted on bad terms in the slightest. Just why when he saw her again, he smiled, walking his way over. "Lacie." A small bow he smiled before motioning to the bench. "Is it alright I sit? it's been a while since I've seen you around the school."

Lacie looked up at the unexpected visitor. "Yes!" She agreed readily. She moved over to one side to allow him more room. She was of the same opinion as Frost, regarding their visit as pleasant "Indeed, it has been a long time." Although Lacie had always been nervous around strangers, Frost has a very nice air to him that caused her to relax. Perhaps it was because of his calm demeanor? "I hope that life has been pleasant for you?" She inquired politely.
"School has become a very busy place." There were so much more students and events. It was hardly a wonder why they hadn't seen each other in a long time. But Lacie very much wanted to become better friends with Frost.

A small nod, Frost sat next to the young reaper smiling as his tail curled around him. "Pleasant enough. A few bumps and troubles, but nothing one cannot overcome. I'm running for the student council, running a club- all rather, well you said it best." Glancing to the school he let out a sign, though it was a happy one. "It is busy, yet it keeps me moving, active. I became a bit lazy for a few months after coming here. The activity is good." "What have you been up to as of late? Nothing too nefarious I hope?" He said lightly joking. Lacie was sweet, he could hardly see her doing anything nefarious.

'Uwah..! His tail was so fluffy! Lacie must've missed the fact in their last meeting.. but her eyes positively sparkled at it. Indeed. *A*
And Frost sounded quite busy. "A club and student council along with regular classes? That sounds very impressive Frost." Lacie couldn't even imagine doing such a thing! She had heard that student council elections were coming up... but she only knew a few candiates. She supposed that was enough though. "Please let me know if you need any help." Lacie couldn't do very much but she considered herself a fair student. If it was within her power, she would certainly try.
"Being nefarious sounds quite fun!" Not that she was capable of such a feat but the fact that she could now joke about it meant that in their time since being apart, Lacie had gained some sense of humor. Maybe it was Vaith's bad influence? Either way, it was okay. "And I've finally passed my classes. I am now a second year." Bringing both her hands, clenched in fists in front of her, she looked so proud. It had taken hard work, not to mention many scary experiences. But she was now a year two despite all of that.
"Are you in your second year as well?" He had been a year one like her when she first met him but since a long time had passed, he surely must have advanced to the same level?

Frost, fluff butt and friend. It wasn't that uncommon. "It's not really. I mean, anyone could try it. It is... fun. Challenging but fun. I do appreciate the offer though it it not needed. If I cannot do such things on my own then I will not get how far I can go. " Tail brushed with fingers, Frost leaned back on the bench. A chuckle escaped him at her enthusiasm over being nefarious. She didn't seem the type, nothing too serious at least. "Year two Hm? You didn't cheat? Is that how you've been quite nefarious as of late?" He was joking, still, he smiled. "Congrats. I actually became a third year not to long ago." He blushed. "I've advanced quite quickly. It's odd, knowing so many that I met last year then..." He sighed. "I almost regret the exam."

"Congratulations!" Lacie clasped her hands together in excitement at hearing the news, truly happy for Frost. She certainly wasn't the jealous type, recognizing that effort was required for such things. If she wanted to advance to the same level as Frost, she would have to put in enough effort to do so. But that cheerful expression faded at the mention of Frost's regrets.
She was forced to look downwards, knowing his regrets almost as bitterly as her own. Her hands clenched her skirt, a painful expression appearing on her face. Even though she didn't take the same exam that Frost had, she knew the losses from her own exam. The massacre of the horsemen clans from the hunters.. It wasn't something that she would ever want to repeat. But she then looked over to Frost, giving him a slight smile."But you're moving forward. That's all that we can do, isn't it?"
With those words said, Lacie realized that Frost might be somebody who could answer her questions. "Frost, if you don't mind doing me a favor.. Would you please tell me what has happened in Amityville? What you know about it?" She was well aware that there were events behind the scenes. "Ever since my own exam, I've only concerned myself with the classes offered here. Everything about the horsemen.. hunters.. I was too scared to find out more about them."
But now she wanted to. Everybody was growing stronger and going ahead of her. She didn't want to be left behind again.

He laughed lightly, shaking his head. "Ah, I tend to think things in complex ways. Moving forward is but one step of many for what I must do. After all, there will come a time when I must stand still to assess how far I have come, and how much further I must go. But-" He shrugged his shoulder, suit coat wrinkling just a bit. "That is not for a while." SOaking up the warmth around him, Lacie's question got a lazy, relaxed smile. "That is hardly a favor. And... yes. The infamous horsemen and the fabled hunters." A small huff he leaned back. "Well, since the fall of the isles the horsemen have for the most part remained in their little sanctuary, and we didn't hear much of hunters... at least until that october summer. Medea, the seemingly new leader of the horsemen misled us, used us as tool to exact her and the horsemen's revenge on the hunters. Though, many of us had but one goal. Rescue the few students who'd been taken captive just a week prior. We managed to save the students, though Medea attempted to use us for her own means. She marked us, and... Myself and Gene went to have the marks removed. After... we were back at Amityville." Ears fell back to his head. "For a time things were quiet. Then... We had a festival. It was rather fun- thats was when I began running for president... But shortly after we found ourselves stuck in the haunted house along with insanity. Horsemen, hunter- no one was really safe. In the end some teacher came back, hunters driven off. Jack only knows what happened with the horsemen. Things returned to normal. Another festival, more holiday trips that apparently ended poorly, scarentines... and now it's just been small things. Blibs on the radar." A heavy sigh he resisted the urge to lay his head in Lacie's lap. "It's alright to be scared of such things. But to ask, to take the steps to know is to better arm yourself for the future."

Lacie remained silent throughout most of the explanation. But inwardly, she was shocked. Her face was briefly shielded by her pigtails when when she lifted it once more, she had tears coming out of her eyes. ".. I.. didn't know anything." They continued to drip from her face, falling to the ground, staining it. Even though these events were long past done with, the reaper couldn't help but feel sad regardless. Sadness mixed with a multitude of other emotions; frustration, helplessness. Though Frost seemed already all right.. Lacie wondered how much he, and other students, had suffered through Medea's actions.
"I-I'm sorry. It's not mature to do this, is it?" She furiously tried to wipe away her tears with her kimono sleeves. "J-just give me another moment." Her sentence was punctured by subsiding hiccups. Using her sleeves to cover her face, she didn't want Frost to see such a weak and pathetic side of hers. But she could help but say in a soft voice, "I'm glad you're all right. I'm so very glad."

The tears had alarm. The boil hadn't intended to upset her, much less cause her such distress that she might cry. Worry and panic, a small whine came from the back of his throat, a second of feeling helpless. "No, no please do not apologize. I- I am not always the most sensitive to one's emotions." Reaching into his coat, a small handkerchief was offered. Waiting for her, the boil reached over, hoping the simple touch of holding her hand might help. "I am stronger than I look. As are you. Tears are a sign of a strong heart, of a deep bond. They are nothing to be ashamed of. Are you alright though? Do you wish for me to ah, stay a while?"
