Gideon strolled out from the wooded area next to cabin seventeen.
He was shouldering a brand new bow, carved from yew. It had a 70 pound pull. Gideon was confident that it could skewer a cow. He ascended the steps of Zephyrus cabin, then a gust of wind from the west gently shook the many wind chimes that hung about the cabin's front porch. Gideon paused with his eyes closed -Thank you for the music father- he thought. The wind died down and Gideon continued inside his cabin. There, he put his new bow with all the others he had. The arsenal of bows that Gideon had made in the past 5 years was massive. There were bows of all different shapes, sizes, styles, materials and designs. However, Gideon's personal bow was his favorite. It hung by itself above his bed. It was a 60 inch, bubinga wood, recurve bow, with redwood inlays, and a unicorn horn handle. What was really special was the bowstring. It was a lock of his father's hair. The special string caused the bow to almost draw itself, for a 60 pound pull bow it was amazing, and it caused the arrows fired from it to fly with the speed of the wind God. When he fired the bow, a gale wind followed the arrows. The string glowed powerfully in the dim light as Gideon admired his craftsmanship and his father's power. So Gideon put the new bow on the rack with the other longbows, then he steered towards his bed. There, he sat down and took a deep breath. Eventually he settled into bed for a little afternoon doze.
