Peren: ~Sulks~ What can I do? I have never been good at anything in particular ~Pouts~
Charger: What do you think about taking on a family name and becoming patrons of it? Hmm? And then you and me could nanny when there's need of it. But mostly we'd just make babies. *grins at her*
Peren: ~Tilts head at Charger~ A family name? And I struggled with our four the way this herd has foals... could you imagine how many we might end up with! I think we shall just stick to tending to our own for now... surely there is something else we could do?
Charger: *shakes his head no at her* That's not the way your father explained it to me. A patron of the family takes charge and care of their own family line. Our family line. Just ours. I just thought you might like to be a nanny in your spare time. If you only want to be a patron that's fine.
Peren: Apologizes my love, I will support and join in whatever you may decide to do. A patron sounds like a lot of responsibility... but then I would suppose we are not to expect grandchildren in the near future. ~Nervous chuckle~ What about you? You have cared for us so well you could take up any rank you desired within the herd, does anything appeal to you?
Charger: *tilts his head* I thought the Patron idea might be the best fit for me and you. It made the most sense when your father explained to me what ranks I could take. And I should take. We use your families land and resources, we should help. All of us. *watching Koray* Do you really have no interest in taking a rank in your own herd dearling?
Peren: ~Sighs~ I do.. I am just at a lose as to what I would do well in... so many of the family know from their first breath what they wish to do, what they excel in, I.... I do not. I wish to help the herd, my family, our family but what can I do? What am I good at? ~Feels useless with her Elder body.~
Charger: *licks her cheek* You were given this new body for a reason dear. You have power now, you just have to unlock it. I thought a rank might help you want to. I want to help you sweets. Take on the role as Patron with me? I don't want to push you, but it's what I want to do. I can do it without you but it would be so much more fun with you.
Peren: ~Smiles and nods~ Of course I will my love, we shall do everything together until we draw out last breaths. ~Nuzzles him~ Have you thoughts on what our family name should be? ~Ponders~
Charger: *smiles* Yes and no. I wasn't sure you'd agree so I haven't pondered it too hard.
Peren: Hmm...~Snugs more into his personal space~ Well... it should be something relevant to us yes?
Charger: Absolutely. And probably something to do with the herd if you want. *rubbing on her slightly*
Peren: ~Nods~ Well then... we like our moon. ~Chuckles~ Nature and the balance of life is important? Most are evening or night walkers, and of course family has always been important to me...
Charger: I was thinking something from the stars or the moon dear. But if you have ideas, we can discuss.
Peren: Oh I am just thinking out loud my love, who would think finding the perfect name for our family could be so hard? The foals names came so easily after all.
Charger: I think it was easier because they were their names and only for them. Not a name for all of us. You, me and them. *he grins* It would give Noir two last names. *chuckles*
Peren: Gosh it would! I had not considered that, I seldom think of Noir as anything other than our own. ~Smiles~ They are growing quickly, I had wished so but now... now I admit I miss them being foals.
Charger: Noir knows who and what he is. He thinks of himself as ours but he is proud of his Sondreas title. *smiles* But we, at least, taught him to be proud and happy. I was thinking Celeris. He was the brother of Pegasus and said to be the first horse. His name means swiftness or speed. He also just happens to a constellation above Pegasus. Though I wasn't partial to Pegasus for whatever reason.
Peren: ~Nods~ Do you think he or our others will leave the herd when they grow? ~Random but has been thinking about it a lot, after her family experience.~ I like it. Did Celeris have a horn though? The twins inherited their handsome fathers horn, I feel it will carry for many generation to come.
Charger: No he was not, he was Starborn. But I couldn't think of an Arcturus constellation. Your ideas dear?
Peren: ~Ponders some more~ Perhaps we could consider these things in another tongue? There are many languages known and used within the herd.
Charger: *wracking brain* My heaven this is hard dear.
Peren: It is rather... ~Snuggles into him and ponders~ A new family name for all generations to come from us. ~Smiles softly~
Charger: Latin maybe? Or elvish. *pondering as he absently stokes against her with his cheek* Cornovus? It's latin, it means new heart. So fur us it would mean new love or new family. New in general for us maybe. Newness every time a new life is created. New love for the new life.
Peren: Oh my love that sounds perfect. ~looks up at him~ Charger Cornovus, and here I thought It impossible to love you any more than I already do. ~Chuckles~ Peren Cornovus... Koray, Stardusk and Moondust Cornovus... Yes I think that is indeed a perfect fit for our family name.
Charger: *surprised Peren likes it* Really? You think? Is that finally a yes for both of us? Lets go tell your father and other herd leaders! *exited*
Peren: ~Giggles and flicks her wings out~ We have our family name! ~Beams proudly and nods~ Let us go and seek them out, something tells me it may take us all the spare time we have to locate and speak to each of them. ~Chuckles, sure of that sentence with all the different sleep schedules, duties and locations in the herd territory.~
Charger: *trotting off excited and happy already* Well we don't really have to tell everybody I think. We just have to get approval and if we tell only one, news will spread like it always does.
