I've never really tried to outline what I do... So bear with me for a jumbled and randomly thrown together explanation. Come to think of it, jumbled and randomly thrown together is kinda my style.
1:General into, outline
I like the term Warlock, simply because I practice magic, but I find gods to be silly. So I don't bother worshiping them, praying to them, using them in magic. I don't even like sticking to much of a set of guidelines or rules. It just seems like the perfect term.
I like to think of what I do as chaotic progression aided by science, with mathematical experimentation. Also there's magic or something. ******** it lets just try something new because describing random attempts at whatever is stupid.
2: History
I don't think there is much in the ways of history... Unless you're interested in the various scientists who led some knowledge to my work, and I can't name all those.
3: Central beliefs
Hey... Something I can put down s**t for...
-Gods are unnecessary, as are rules. -When something doesn't work right, that's not failure, but simply a new result we learned about that we didn't expect. -Magic is simply another means to understand the world around us. -Nothing can defy the basic rules of the universe, or defy physics. -Science and math are the guiding principals of how the universe works, magic only takes advantage of an understanding of these principals. -It will break, eventually. -Evil and good are merely misunderstandings of the world around you, all things are, or are not. Neglect a dualistic mindset to better comprehend the world around you. -Gravity... Don't forget it. Seriously, don't do that. It will win. -Nothing is indestructible. -Try new things because you can. It leads to learning, and awesomeness. -Unexpected results are often enjoyable. -If you don't understand it, study it. There has to be an explanation somewhere.
4: Deities
Don't serve me any use. They may or may not exist, but I don't care either way.
5: Core Myths
Myths? I guess you could detail the basic principals of math, and various sciences... But Google would be far faster at this.
6: Ethics
Play no role in the end result. Gravity doesn't care if you die from the fall, you're going to fall regardless. So use whatever morals you already have.
7: Sabbats
Huh? Nah ******** it. I'm not worried about any of this.
8: Rituals-why perform them, how to perform them, what goes into them)
Not a fan of rituals, experiment instead! Treat magic like a science, because it is. Play around and experiment with new things. Try something new, and use your skills with technology, and metals when possible. Technology is a wonderful tool, able to take advantage of a plentiful energy source around humanity called electricity, you can use this for a variety of things. And if you don't know what to do, try something new.
9: Other Practices/Other Theology Read, a lot... Books on physics, math, chemistry, biology, geometry, and all other manners of science and math end up being your best help. So building a library, or being willing to spend time in one, or use the internet as one is valuable.
If you can't think of something to experiment on, and really want to, try something completely random! One of those things nobody would have done because it seems stupid, or pointless. You might be surprised.

Is there one scientific field over others that you feel you have drawn from more than others?

Loona Wynd Is there one scientific field over others that you feel you have drawn from more than others? I would say probably physics... Though physics is directly interrelated with chemistry, and mathematics... So those three things have probably consumed the majority of my research time.

Do you have any formal training in any scientific disciplines?

It sounds like you have a very interesting and cerebral practice, it very much puts me in the mind of the definition of an alchemist in antiquity. I hope that you will be sharing with us the results of some of your' experiments, as you've piqued my curiosity!

Obscurus Do you have any formal training in any scientific disciplines? I don't have formal training in anything. In fact rather than going to college I spent four years traveling the world simply living and learning about how other people think and live their lives. I'm just entirely self taught, and love to read and research.

I have had some interesting results, such as my electromagnetic barrier that can block wireless signals. After hearing that song bass cannon I tried to make one. Can't damage anything, but it can irritate small animals with loud noise... I also made a light cannon... But it melted after setting fire to some limber. I'm working on redoing my electromagnetic barrier to be a bit longer range, and portable, I want to throw it in my car to block radar guns cause that would be pretty awesome... I actually made it by mistake trying to make an anti ghost magnet. I'm working on a pair of gloves too, but not very directioned in my work

Beware of trying to employ the anti-ghost magnet in a location known for violent spirits - they tend to employ ambient sources of energy in lashing out at those who are intruding on them. However, the application of it as a speed radar jammer or to bar cellular signals for those annoying folk that seem to always have one stuck to their ear would be rather amusing! With some tampering you might even be able to use it as a bug and animal repellant rather than relying on the one based on a base cannon - if you really want to get vicious you may even be able to bolster its strength to create an EMP field.

The electromagnetic barrier utilizes electricity, directly from an outlet. It does halt wireless signals effectively already as it is, including cell phone signals. Actually my house has a really violent history behind it, and I made the device there... If I was going to run into any danger for it I would probably have had issues in the initial testing. I would rather not make it an emp field, as that would damage my car... It's not exactly emp hardened, just really fast.
