Yet another stolen moment to herself. Cosine wandered down the hall past the familiar doors to one she had not visited in a very long time. When? it was hard to say, certainly years. In the cycle of her evolution she had been sill part mortal, morph, they called it. She was not on serious business this time, nope, she wanted to see her nephew, toy with him a little and catch up with him. With Echo away on business and the rest of his family missing she felt rather protective of him.

The goddess paused at the door of mystery and reached out to give a firm knock.

"Now who could that be?" Asedri had been heading upstairs to her room from the kitchen when she heard the sound of a knock on the door. Everyone was at home as far as she knew.

A guest, then.

She headed down the front hallway to the door, opening it. It was no one she knew on the other side, but this woman felt like Tajne, Akakios and Tien so she was a goddess too. "Hello. Are you looking for anyone in particular?" It was odd for another god to come and visit them out of the blue like this, so understandably she was curious.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Akakios was - surprise - in the library. This time he was not working, however - simply reading the first book he'd came across, which happened to be a rather nice piece of fiction this time around.

He was laying on the couch, book in the air, only moving to flip pages. The perfect picture of laziness.

He hadn't had much choice, really. Taj had been quite... persuasive.

User ImageTaj was sitting on the floor, leaning his elbow on the side of the couch as he watched Kios. He preferred sitting on the floor if one of them did not have their head on a pillow in his lap.

Asedri would join them at some point. Or not. It was her choice. Mystery was not letting Kios study for the day.

The other hand idly stroked Kios' hair as it fanned out around him. He was amused watching Lament. He knew the moment he left, Kios would be back at the books. Instead, Taj had insisted he read for pleasure rather than purpose. At least other than to be lazy and relax a little.

Taj was definitely telling Kios that he had his nose stuck in a book too much.

Cosine smiled as the door was opened to reveal a young woman. She remembered an eclectic group of people living with mystery, though this one was not familiar. The goddess, being close to her full self, knew at once the girl had been chosen. Fresh meat.

"Hello, I am, my nephew Akakios, Lament. I understand he has been staying here?" She smiled and glanced behind the young woman to the rooms within.

'Staying here' was an understatement by now really...

"Come in." Asedri stepped back and swung the door open wider so Cosine would be able to pass. "He is probably just hiding out in the library like always." That really depended on how well Tajne had done at persuading him. Once the goddess came in she closed the door behind her. "If you'll follow me."

She would lead Number around the spiral into the library at its heart. It seemed Akakios indeed there and so was Tajne. "Kios, you have a visitor." Both would be greeted with a kiss and she found her usual spot sort of between them on the floor by the Cat. What Asedri did not realize is that had probably just made things far more interesting for her lover's aunt.

No one really came to visit him, usually people came for the more outgoing members of the household. Caelia would have simply stormed and be done with it. Secretly he was starting to ponder if Tajne had given her the ability to open the door just so she could come bother him.

It would not surprise him. The kiss would distract him, but when he caught the glimpse of familiar green swirls, poor Lament dropped his book and turned a most impressive shade of crimson.

This was going to be interesting indeed.

User ImageTaj simply glanced over at Cosine after returning Asedri's kiss. He was amused by Kios' face and leaned over kissing him before he could move much.

< Lady. Tea? > he greeted, suddenly grinning and indicating the tea pot on the table beside them. He had four cups there as if expecting her. And he knew he had just made it worse for Kios. Taj had debated kissing Kios and simply leaving, but instead simply sat where he was, one arm around Asedri, and the other, still in Kios' hair. Relinquishing the hair, he gave Kios the option of sitting up entirely though he did not move from where he was on the floor.

Lament's family was bound to find out sooner or later. It just happened to be sooner.

Cosine followed the young woman through the spiral to the library and smiled at the sight of Kios and Taj relaxing comfortably on the floor. She watched the woman kiss them both and glanced over the library, rather unphased by the unecessary public displays of affection going around. She could imagine Kios feeling very at home here among all the knowledge. The dropped book brought her attention back to her nephew.

Yes, the expression on his face was priceless. She returned it with one of her trademark smirks and watched them drape about each other, Taj's gesture to the teapot not going unnoticed.
"Please, unless you'd rather I return at a more convenient moment?" She raised an eyebrow. "You can relax Kios." Yes, she was amused.

Asedri turned enough to look back at Akakios, smiling. "See, even she says its okay." Poor Lament really did to learn to relax, though she had to admit that blushing was pretty adorable. "So, are you going to introduce us, Kios?" Might as well get his mind to focus on something else rather than the awkwardness of the situation itself.

"No, it is quite alright." Not something he'd expected, but quite alright indeed. "I think you already know this troublemaker ?" Taj would be bobbed on the head lightly, like a misbehaving kitten. "This is Asedri, host to Keme, the female Mystery. Asedri, Keme, this is my aunt, Cosine, Numbers."

That summed it up nicely, right ? Right.

User Image Taj grinned as he poured Cosine a cup of tea. < A cat will be a cat but love comes in all shapes and sizes. Has Numbers escaped the clutches of her fledglings this day? >

He adored Caelia and had loved that merry chase he had led her on that day. It was one way of giving Kios a break, but it also allowed her to have fun.

"Indeed it does." She could certainly vouch for that, shapes, sizes and tangibility. "Yes, hmm, escaped. That would probably be an appropriate term. I understand you have met My Caelia. I hope she has not been bothering you all." The goddess smiled and perched on one of the comfortable chairs. "You know to send her back if she does. I swear as soon as I blink she disappears."
PostPosted: Tue Mar 12, 2013 4:55 pm

"It is nice to meet you, Cosine."

"Hardly a bother." Asedri really liked Caelia, she was a good child. She could not really comment on the little goddess' ability to disappear in the blink of an eye, being quite good at herself when she had a mind to. It had given Graff quite the headache on ocassion. "Still, better here where she is safe than who knows where."

No, it would not surprise him at all. Tajne had seemed quite smitten by Hurricane Caelia. "Or that she might end up whisked away by a cat every now and then."

Catnapping. Serious matters, that. Lament would sip from his own tea, pondering if she should tell Cosine that Caelia had brought the whole of her brood over already or not.
