Kadryn flew about in the rain. She’d never seen anything other than bright vivid blue skies above Eowyn, but today the dark gray clouds covered it, thunder rumbling and brief flashes of lightning came from within them as the poured out rain unto the desert below. She laughed with glee as she pun around in midair, drenched in cold water and flying amid the low heavy clouds, dodging lightning and feeling the thunder in her bones.
She enjoyed the smell, the sensation of rain, and felt a thrill almost like the exhilaration form battle, dancing with lightning, the only music was the rumbling crashes of thunder. As she flew about she noticed another enjoying the same thunder storm. A large Kiandri Dragon was dancing up in the clouds as well. Deciding that she didn’t want to face one right now since she’d rather continue with her fun, she turned to go to a different section of the storm when the Kiandri spotted her. With a roar dwarfed by the thunder, he charged. Apparently the thunder storm made him eager to fight. Kadryn laughed and spun around in midair as she loosed her mace from its leather case. If he wanted to fight, then fight she would!
The two storm dancers crashed just as a bolt of lightning broke the darkened skies, flashing between the heavens and the earth. The thunder shook the very air, vibrating in the air as Kadryn laughed and felt the berserker within rise. Battling now instead of dancing, Kadryn and the Kiandri flew about, to the beat of the storm, Kadryn dodging both Natures lightning and the Dragon’s. The desert below received its life giving water and the blood that fell from the battle above mixed with the rain, giving the area below a red rain to dye its sands with. Kadryn managed to swoop below the Dragon’s head and grush his skull with a blow from below, Falling, the Dragon died in the air, thunder crashing just as Kadryn screamed her victory. The Kiandri dissolved away, leaving only its orb to fall to the ground below; the orb and the blood upon the sands was all that was left of what was once a might storm dancer.
