The sun had set and the moon had risen and so had Phantom. Tending to his thirst and hunger his next stop was the burial grounds, an interesting place where he would swear to hearing the whispers of those beneath the ground. Growing up he had been scolded and told to stop speaking of such foolish things, he'd been told that when stars fall they rise back into the sky. Whereas he didn't dispute he also wouldn't be deterred from what he heard, what he felt in the chill of a night breeze among his wings. Looking back he supposed that's where his fascination for those of the dead and the night had come from. His existence had been a lone one, as he had spent more time here and by himself his family distanced or joined those beneath his hoofs. The others had moved on, joined herds he supposed, that was apparently another normal thing a stallion such as himself should aspire to, yet again he had no desire then nor now. In his world he came first and he wasn't so much disrespectful as to what his family had tried to condition him towards rather he didn't want to... so he didn't. It had left him very quiet around people, the repetitive scoldings for saying the wrong thing drilled in the common sense thought of... why speak at all? Listening was more his thing, whether he paid attention to what was being said or had interest was another matter but he had become quite adapt at giving the appearance of doing so.

Noire laid among her ancestors under a tall willow tree. She sang a soft song out of respect for them and comfort for her. "O then 'tis, O then that I think there's no Hell,Like loving too well." (Song here) her voice rang sweet and clear in the starry night. When she had finished she closed her eyes and listened to the crickets, and the owls, and the cracking of twigs. Her eyes shot open at once, snapping twigs should not be, because she was the only one in the hallowed grounds this time of night. She had made sure she was not followed! Instantly her body tensed and she silently rose, waiting to heart what direction the noise was coming from.

The song had carried softly on the breeze at first the stallion had taken it for the whispers of the dead. Then upon realizing it held actual words, words he understood he began to figure otherwise. Had another wandered into these grounds? It had been rare anyone had bothered to consider the dead in their resting place, unless it be a adolescent dare but this presence was singing and most definitely not scared. As he drew nearer he was sure of the direction as the words became more solid, louder and clearer.
The Lyra hadn't been entirely sure what he'd expected but when his eyes fell upon the rising mare he suddenly couldn't take the next step. His leg raised half in the air as her mane flicked with her movement everything went silent, a electronic buzz ringing in his ears as things slowed to a speed a tenth of what he was used to. Heart thudding in his chest he simply stood and stared, rude perhaps but he was enthralled and at the mercy of his physical demands. As he'd spent most of his own adolescence in this place he hadn't exactly had an experience such as this before and was at a complete loss as to what to do.

After a seemingly endless moment of silence and crickets, Noire had enough of it and called out "Look Genius, I heard you! If your going to attack then get it over with so that I can continue with my night one way or another." She sighed and flexed her muscles one last time before she looked back at the headstones of her family. "I will be back later Mom and Dad, Keep an eye on Rosabliss if you would? I will find her one day I promise" with that she began to walk of, waiting to see if who ever was in the darkness would follow her, She would be ready.

The worlds swirled around his mind as he listened to the sound of her voice over and over. The actual context of what she said was lost for now, but that voice... her singing had called him to her and never wanted to stop the sound of either from entering his eardrums. When she stopped it felt like someone had just kicking him in the chest, why did his heart ache and where was she going? She couldn't leave he had so many questions but could form on his tongue, how could he call out if he had no words?
So as she started to move away he found himself moving after her, but keeping the same distance and shifting more and more into the darkness of the Shadows. The longer than went the more he started to dread her turning around, if it wasn't bad enough before what could he say now? How could he explain himself, to most wasn't this unacceptable behaviour? It wouldn't of bothered him but he didn't want the voices owner to say unkind things of him for some reason, was it the same reason that had him on impulse following her?

Love is like a warNoire was angry as she heard the rustling of the grass, She knew someone was out there, watching... following. It pissed her off. "LOOK DUDE!... I don't know who you are, or what kind of freak you may be, but stalking me in the middle of the cemetery, while I'm trying to talk to my parents is just garbage" She continued to walk, moving slowly for a few minutes then taking off to a dead run, She was determined to catch whoever was following her, and maybe give them a lesson they wouldn't soon forget. Easy to start
Hard to finish
and Impossible to forget
