Phew, finally done classes for the day! While Xiu's school life was proving to be as boring and uneventful as ever, the baku had to admit that the peace was kind of a nice changed compared to all the insanity that had taken place over the last past few months. Getting stuck with that necklace, losing her to that power, falling into a deep sleep...it had definitely been a most unusual and disorienting experience to be sure. In either case, she was glad that things had finally settled down for a change.
It was, in some ways, kind of nice getting to worry about normal ghoul things too, like...crushes, and all of that fun stuff. This time, at least, the idea of pursuing a relationship didn't send Xiu isn't a panic attack, but she wasn't really sure how to feel about it either. Finding a meaningful relationship like that would be nice, and she had to admit that Lou had brought up some good points in their conversation, but...
But this wasn't really the time or place to think about it. After all, she was standing in the middle of a crowded hallway in Amity. Better get moving.
Packing up her things, Xiu began to make her way out of the school building for the day, intending on returning back to her dorm as usual.

Shun had just finished a rather intense training session on his own. After letting his body relax a bit, he grabbed his things, and began to make his way towards his own room. His body was worn, but it didn't bother him too much. He was fairly used to this sort of thing. That wasn't to say that he wasn't looking forward to getting cleaned up, having a nice hot cup of tea, and meditating for awhile.
As he walked along, he noticed Xiu up ahead.
"Oyakatta Sama," he said in greeting, as he made his way to catch up. He gave her a curt nod as well.

Xiu didn't even need to turn to know who had addressed her, and while she was always happy to see her big brother, she wasn't so sure about those nicknames of his...
Especially since it seemed as if she had suddenly gotten an upgrade.
Puffing a cheek out, she propped her hands up on her hips and turned to face the reaper, staring up at him in mild disapproval. "Aniki, first hime-sama, and now this? I'm not the same Xiu as the one in that dream, you know!" She pouted at him for a little longer before suddenly relaxing, blinking up at him with a small smile.
"So, nicknames aside...what's up? Are you heading back to your dorm for the day?" There was a pause, and then she rubbed the back of her neck sheepishly, "I feel like I haven't seen you for a while, really." In between schoolwork and introducing herself to some of the new students, the baku had seen less of her big bro than she would have liked.
...She still hadn't punched him for the other Xiu yet either. Perhaps that would have to be amended soon--she had promised, after all.

The Reaper gave a shrug when she objected to his nickname for her as it wasn't the same Xiu.
"Very well, hime sama," he said in an equal tone. She had still been Prom Princess after all. It was only appropriate. But in any case, Shun soon nodded to his little sister of a baku.
"I just got done doing some training on my own. But yes... I hadn't really seen you for a time. Ever since that whole Kingdom mess," he agreed.

...Hime-sama, sigh. Although she made a face, Xiu made no attempt to vocalize any complaints about this nickname. At the very least, it was a little better than Oyakatta-sama, right? She did, however, make a face at the reaper, but quickly perked up when he mentioned the kingdom incident.
"Ah, yes, speaking of which..." Trotting forward, she lifted a hand, lightly smacking his arm with the back of her hand. The other Xiu had asked for a punch, but Xiu didn't think that she had been entirely serious. She was certain that this would suffice. "That was from the King, who asked that I smack you for that who attacking her stunt that you and the others pulled."
And then as if nothing had happened, she clasped her hands behind her back and beamed up at him. "We should catch up! How have you been doing? Mitsu?"

Shun furrowed his brow when she suddenly, but lightly, punched him in the arm. It was hardly painful.
"... If you're going to punch me, you shouldn't hold back," he said flatly before giving a shrug, "We had to do what was to be done. She should have known that after the fact."
Shaking his head, he raised a brow and nodded slowly to her. He was fine with doing a bit of catch up.
"Alright I suppose. I need to go see Kaitou in the next day or so... I believe Mitsu wants to come with but she doesn't seem particularly happy about it.."

...Was that an offer? The baku tugged at her glove, eying him thoughtfully for a moment before laughing and shaking her head. "I don't think she was entirely serious, aniki. And yes, she knows. And er," She frowned, rocking back and forth on her heels as she momentarily glanced to the side, "Sorry for any trouble that I caused. That was a weird time to be sure, and I'm glad to be back to normal."
And still alive. That was nice too.
She couldn't help her reaction upon hearing that Shun was going to visit his father--Xiu immediately scowled, though it relaxed slightly a moment after. "Sorry, I just...well." The ghoul made a vague gesture, and then frowned. "Any particular reason you're visiting him?"

"Don't worry of it," Shun said with a dismissive wave, "You've felt no side effects from that whole thing have you?"
As far as her reaction to hearing about his father, he didn't seem particularly bothered. The expression of his remained the same as he gazed down at the white haired dream eating demon.
"Stuff regarding the Family business no doubt. I don't have too many more details other than that right now," he said, "I'll be fine regardless."

After a moment of consideration, she slowly shook her head. "No, no side effects. Nothing negative, at least." There did seem to be a bit of a change in her dream diving abilities since then, but instead of them being hindered or damaged in some way, they felt a little stronger. She had yet to find out just how they were stronger, but the feeling was there.
Her frown deepened, and she lifted a hand to wag a finger at him, "Well, yes, I'd hope so! You'd better be fine, otherwise I'd..." Furrowing her brows, she drew back and stared up at him contemplatively, "Otherwise I'll have to...go there and punch your father myself...?"
Because that would obviously go well.
There was a pause, and then she sighed, the corners of her lips curving up slightly. "It's kind of weird to be talking about stuff like this. I can hardly remember the last time when I wasn't worrying about the horsemen and hunters, but things seem relatively...normal right now. Most of my worries at the moment are almost blissfully boring in comparison."

There was a sort of curious light in Shun's eye as he heard her mentioned there was nothing negative. It meant that something must have happened then. But, for now, he didn't question it. Instead, he focused on her words regarding his well being and his father.
"Just hope he doesn't cut off your head in return or something like that," he said flatly. It was the thought that counted though, he supposed. Soon, though, he was raising a brow at Xiu, as she began to talk about something else entirely.
"...? Worries? What sort of worries? Do you need someone's throat to be slit?"
He was dead serious.

...Eep, well that...didn't sound pleasant, now did it? The baku visibly flinched, but then she squared her shoulders, her tail puffing up in a futile attempt at making herself look bigger and more impressive. "Don't worry, I'd be a little more careful than that!" Or at least, she certainly hoped that she would in such a circumstance.
While Xiu truly appreciated having Shun as a friend and big brother in her life, she could not deny that he seemed to like jumping to the worst possible conclusion. Hastily, she lifted both hands up in front of her, pink eyes wide. "No, no! No such thing! I said that they were pretty normal and boring, didn't I?"
Looking a little sheepish, she glanced away again and cleared her throat. "It's just about...you know. Boils. And dating. That kind of stuff."

Shun just shrugged at that.
"There may still be reason for such actions," he said impassively. Putting that thought aside, he soon eyed her as she went on and explained it was about boys. Dating. That sort of thing. For a moment, he looked her over.
"You have someone you have your eyes on? Or is it the other way around? Both?"
It was good to know these things. For if whoever this was ended up breaking Xiu's heart....
There will be throats to be slit. Or just a punch. Maybe just a very icy glare of death with some stern words. No matter, he was going to get on their case.

Ooh boil, this kind of topic always made her a little embarrassed. The fact that she was used to talking to Shun made things a lot better, but it was still a rather awkward thing to talk about. "Er. Well, I'm not...entirely sure. You see, I heard from someone that his brother--my friend, you've actually...kind of met him--was uh. Fond of me, but when it comes to dating..."
She looked a little sheepish as she shifted her weight from foot to foot, "Anyways, Lou visited me on Scarentines," Xiu paused to hold a hand up, and indication that all was fine, no need to go slit the vampire's throat right away, "And after getting through the date invitations, we had a rather civilized conversation. He did bring up a good point about my habit of just...friendzoning people."
It was not something she did intentionally, obviously, but it was still something that she did. "He told me to at least try going out on the date with something, but I don't know." The ghoul wrinkled her nose uncertainly, and then laughed. "I told you it wasn't a serious worry."

"Oh?" Shun said with a raised brow. Though, he soon narrowed his good eye as Xiu continued.
"Why the hell do you even talk to Lou?" he muttered, "A guy like that more likely than not only wants in your pants."
With a sigh, he shifted the bag on his shoulders and looked over the baku.
"You're still young. If you don't feel interested, then you don't," he shrugged.

The mutter wasn't low enough for Xiu to miss, and she figured that Shun had intentionally made it so that his words were audible. Frowning thoughtfully, she lifted a hand and rubbed at the back of her head, giving a light shrug. "Well, I mean...so long as I don't fall for anything and am extra careful, surely it doesn't hurt to have conversations with him from time to time...right?"
She decided not to mention the whole "trying to ask out on date" thing.
At his answer, the baku laughed, propping her hands up on her hips. "Yeah, I thought the same! And don't you sound cool and mature, aniki. You're not even that much older than I am!" She gave him a light nudge, and then paused, furrowing her brows as she stared up at the reaper.
"If I got a boilfriend...you'd be nice to him, wouldn't you?"
