Xeizii had been getting worse for awhile, breathing was hard, moving was a pain, and most days he could just flat out forget about standing let alone walking anywhere. But he didn't want to stay cooped up, he wanted to see the world, even if he couldn't really interact with it. So his parents got him a powered wheelchair, which he considered to be a blessing... even if sitting in it made him depressed.

He watched other kids run and play with each other and wished he could join in. It didn't help that he hadn't seen his one friend in a very long time, and the voice in his head was starting to get harder and harder to hear.

He'd gotten lost on the way home again and ended up by a cemetery. He stopped at the front gates, staring in for a long while. Finally he let out a deep sigh. Despite being a child he had a relatively good grasp on mortality, since he was so sick all of the time the thought of dying crossed his mind often. After awhile longer he turned his chair to start rolling onto the cemetery grounds. If he was going to end up in one, he wanted to see what they looked like in person.

Skuld had quickly taken to wandering to the nearby cemeteries that she and her father had visited while he was working, having wanted to see them in daylight so she could enjoy the place without tripping over something on the ground like she had almost every night the first two weeks she went out to help Giovanni. Sighing as she stayed sitting on a rather large tombstone next to a mausoleum, the dark and gloomy looking girl pulled up the hood on her hoodie as she saw someone wheel in on a wheelchair.

Watching them intently, she brought her knees up to her chest, her bone-patterned tights showing off the neon color in the ribbing as she did so. "I wonder why they're here.." she whispered to herself with a slight smile.

Xeizii seemed mostly unaware of anyone else's presence in the cemetery. He continued to roll along, occasionally stopping to read something on a tombstone or two.

someone... be wary...

He came to a stop abruptly. It had been awhile since he'd heard the voice talk, ever since the murders started up he had stopped talking as much. He looked around, eventually spotting Skuld. He stared at her for awhile, not really sure if he should say hello or not. She was interesting looking, to say the least.

"H--...hello." He wheezed a little, it had been awhile since he used his own voice and was having a bit of a hard time getting it to work properly.

The shadow girl smiled, sliding off the tombstone and landing all too gracefully before doing a curtsey, "Hello, welcome to the domain of death." she chuckled and walked close to the wheelchair bound meta. "What brings you here?" she asks, tilting her head as she stops a good bit away from him, her Mane being cautious and oddly quiet - then again he had been quite quiet since the entire disruption of Murders had started up and when he talked he sounded faint... hurt, weak.

"You're definitely not dead - well not one of these dead ones..." Skuld murmured before waving her hand, an illusion that held the image of a recently dead elder woman in a nearby fresh grave waved at the girl before smiling sadly at Xeizii, the woman had been one of the spirits she liked talking to because she had so many stories to tell.

Xeizii watched her, taking a few deep breaths. He wanted to be able to speak right without having to use his inhaler. He watched the illusion, then slowly looked back to Skuld. So she was a Meta too... he had thought she looked a bit too pale to be human.

"Just came... to visit..." He shrugged, which was more of a twitch to his shoulders. He didn't have much energy to do big motions. "Why are... you here...? You're not... dead-dead... either." He made a sort of sound that might have been a laugh if a coughing fit hadn't interrupted him.

Skuld looked down at the ground as she pushed some hair behind one of her pale ears before looking back up at the other, "Cemeteries are my favorite places to visit, I can talk to the people here who have died and they tell me stories of the past - granted my Fathers powers are stronger so he can talk to the ones who are old enough to have seen the end of the war." She grinned at the end of her words, remembering the time she saw the spirit of an old warrior who her father had always gone to talk to when he had free time.

Turning her back to Xeizii, she walked back to where she had been sitting, "Not only that, but most people don't come here unless they have business to do here, it's quiet, unlike the Academy which is full of life and noises, and with the recent murders there's more people to talk to."

Xeizii listened, thinking her words over in his head. It was quieter here, yes... But he thought it was lonely, at least, not without his voice to talk to him. At home it was sort of painful, since he didn't like seeing his parents worry so much, but at school? Most of the kids were wary of him, yes, but at least he had some people to be around that weren't constantly worried.

"I guess... I understand..." He made another lifeless shrugging motion. "You talk... to the murdered people...? What do... ...they say?"

The shadow hoisted herself back up onto a tombstone to sit, it's newly polished surface reflecting the sun quite brightly, nodding when the boy spoke. "They tell stories - but when they're new and freshly buried they need to cry... which is understandable.. most don't seem to want to talk about their death right now though." Skuld sighed as she started to wave her legs from side to side.

"I just want to know who killed them..." She pouted.

"Oh..." Xeizii glanced around, he figured he'd probably want to cry for awhile after he died. He wasn't really ready to stop living. Not this early, anyway. He'd only been around for a few months! "That seems... ...normal... to want to cry..." He coughed a bit, then cleared his throat. "They'll find out... soon. ...They're asking us to help... ...right?"

Xeizii figured he'd be useless. Most of his powers required movement or a strong voice, and at the moment he had neither.

lices... alices... evil...

He frowned a little. The voice was being fairly persistent today, but he still couldn't really understand what it was trying to say.

"I guess it is normal, but I seem to have a different view on death.. I guess it comes with what I was given.." She shrugs and looks back to Xeizii and smiles, "They are asking us to help, but they seem to mostly be asking us to fight againt those who got possessed..." Skuld seemed to sigh and shake her head, "I want to help in a different way."

"I haven't really... ..thought much about it 'til lately..." He coughed a few more times, taking some deep shaky breaths when it was over. "Not everyone is... ...good at fighting... ...seems sort of dumb..." He leaned his head back against the pillow mounted to the back of his chair. "What item... ...did you get...?"
PostPosted: Sat Mar 09, 2013 10:00 am

Skuld nodded as she listened to the boy, though when he asked about her item, she chuckled a little. "A mourning veil.." she smiled as she stretched out an arm and brought up another illusion, this time a smaller one in the form of a raven, a nod to her father who was probably wondering where she was, so she decided to let the illusion go through the shadows and tell Giovanni where she was, then again the man wasn't one to worry.

"It's interesting to think that humans would willingly give a child who will have powers based on what you give them something so delightfully morbid."

"A mourning veil...?" He coughed a little bit. "...I don't think... ...I've ever seen one..." He made another shrugging motion, then closed his eyes for a bit. He had been intending to just blink, but his eyes just weren't having any of that business. "...Maybe they didn't... ...know?" He wheezed a little. "I got... ...a cello... accidentally..."
PostPosted: Sun Mar 10, 2013 12:47 pm

The shadow girl shrugged as well at the mention of her original parents not knowing, they had said that they knew what they were doing when they gave her the veil, but they hadn't expected for a 'child of her stature' to end up with a 'mental defect' as they called it. Sighing, she looked towards the boy and listened to him, smiling a little, though when he added the last word her lips turned back to a frown.

"Accidentally? What do you mean by that?"

"Well... ...the first family who... ...wanted me wanted to give me... ...something else... ...but when they got home... ...I gabbed the cello instead..." He coughed a little bit more. "...that was disappointing but... ...okay... ...until i started getting... ...sick..." He didn't really remember his first family very much at all, just that they had been disappointed but okay for awhile, but once he started getting sick all of the time they brought him back, saying he was "defective."
