Bio: "Scratch" used to be a news reporter named David Delow who blew the whistle on countless politicians and celebrities, uncovering many of their dark secrets and dirty habits and exposing them to the public eye. No one was exempt from his exposures, not even witches or demons. He became arrogant and self-righteous, believing it was his duty and right to expose the secret lives of the rich and famous and that he was better than they were for it. This was to be his ultimate downfall. One day his sources informed him of a dangerous kishin known as Noira Blackwing who was in the area. Believing it was his duty to expose her dark and embarrassing secrets to the public as well, he tracked her down and demanded answers from her.
Surprisingly, Noira made a deal with David; if he could publish his own darkest and embarrassing secrets in his newspaper, she would tell him hers. David couldn't bring himself to do it and used the excuse that it was his job to expose the secrets of others, not his own. In response, Noira declared that she would forever help him do so, and placed a curse on him transforming him into her servant. He was changed into the form of a raven and his loyalty was enslaved to Noira. As part of his transformation he was given the ability to look into the hearts and minds of others, being able to read what was there. As soon as he sees this information he memorizes it and if Noira is present, whispers it to her either telepathically or verbally. Though telepathically for the most part. He can talk a little but generally chooses to communicate telepathically. And the only one he talks to is Noira. When he is with her he usually perches on her shoulder though he has been known to hover in the air or perch on something nearby, especially if a fight is going on.
As a back-up plan in case Scratch finds himself in trouble or the off-chance that someone manages to hurt her, she has granted Scratch a fully-released form in which his power increases exponentially and he is given the ability to fight. He is able to communicate more effectively in this form and often does so.
Abilities/Powers:
+Soul Search: Just making visible contact with someone allows Scratch to see into their hearts and minds, finding out their secrets, strengths, weaknesses, past, etc.
+Shadow Front: Scratch is able to burst into a blur of shadows, rapidly moving in any direction. He can do this in both his crow form and released form.
+Wretched Black: Scratch vomits forth a stream of black sludge either towards his opponent or onto the ground. Physical contact with the sludge hurts anyone except himself or the Blackwings, and standing in it heals him and the Blackwings. (Released Form only)
+Dark Reach: Scratch reaches one of his clawed hands towards his opponent, causing it to stretch quickly and bizarrely towards them, able to scratch them, slash at them or grab them. He can retract his hand just as fast. (Released Form only)
+Abyssal Storm: Scratch raises his claws or wings to the sky and a massive tornado comes tearing down, destroying anything in its path. It's direction is controlled by Scratch
+Shield of the Wicked: Scratch can fold his wings in front of him, using them as a shield against attacks (Released Form only)
+Ink Well: Scratch can flatten himself into what looks like a puddle of thick ink and return to his full form at will. This is generally used to dodge a wide attack or hide himself in somewhere dark (if the target doesn't already know he's there)
Personality: In his regular form Scratch doesn't have much of a personality. He generally stays silent, whispering dark secrets into Noira's ear. He does give off an air of malice though whether or not this is intentional is unknown. In his fully released form, Scratch has a cruel and sadistic personality, enjoying the thrill of battle and tearing apart his opponents. He sometimes runs his mouth during battle, mocking his enemies or simply letting out exclamations of joy and cruel laughter.
