Avalon had promised to help Osumilite with his project. It made sense, after all--one favor for another, and he was technically a ranking officer of hers, anyway. The paperwork she now possessed with her new name on it was tangible proof of what he'd been able to do with her, and she was slowly picking up more and more information about herself--nothing specific, because Kess was damnably close-mouthed and Avalon tried not to bother Howlite too much--but she knew what her major had been, at least. It was progress. She'd promised not to try to discover which of the graduates from DCU was her, but it was hard to resist sometimes. But--the project. It was some kind of interview thing, and she figured it made sense--as a civilian, she must have hungered for information. She already wanted to know so much and couldn't imagine that being a new trait (all the books Kess had brought her had some kind of mystery element, although there was nothing popular or common, no Agatha Christie or Sherlock Holmes). Getting their propaganda out before the senshi got theirs out--that was important. When she got to the meeting place--the twenty-first story of a building in the empty section of Destiny City--she found Tag already there. "I'm sorry," she said, momentarily alarmed at the idea of being late. She'd left with plenty of time, she thought, but if he was already there, had she mixed up the times somehow? She didn't have a watch to check, but she'd written down the time so she'd be sure to remember--ugh, this sucked. She was sure she'd been on time. Early, even. "I didn't mean to keep you waiting."

"Don't worry about it, there's no rush," he insisted. He set his schedule pretty clear for these interviews. Besides, no wait was to terrible when there was a bottle of scotch within sight. He had only known Avalon for a brief time, and so far his impression of her was that she was very dedicated, and very apologetic. It was a bit different than her former self - although his impression of the Knight Avalon was much less favorable and mostly revolved around her throwing an apple at his nuts. Maybe that's why she was so apologetic these days. "Hope everything in the adjustment period has been treating you well," he remarked and gestured to the snack table he had arranged. There were chips, salsa, pretzels and crackers lined up along with soda, water and the scotch. "There's food and drink if it will help you relax for the interview. Do you have any questions before we begin?" Behind him, the cameraman-turned-youma-zombie named Keith grunted as his face began to peel some more. Tag wondered how long it would be before the corpse of Keith completely decomposes to reveal just the youma inside of him, but hopefully there was still sometime. He needed to get this documentary filmed and needed a cameraman, after all. Besides - other than the smell and general grossness of a corpse following him around, Tag kind of liked having his old cameraman around. "Don't mind him," Tag insisted, knowing others might not enjoy his company in the same way.

She nodded. "Yes, I learned what I majored in in college," she said, flicking a glance at the table but not exactly willing to go partake if Tag wasn't already. He already knew how things were going at work, since she'd been working with him as an assistant--satisfactorily, she hoped. The Captain hooked her hair behind her ear, and considered the matter of questions before they started. What is that ranked high among them as she studied the decaying cameraman--was that a-- maybe he just had a very unfortunate skin disease? Her steps towards one of the chairs described a careful and exact circle around the man with the decaying face, as if she were unwilling to get too close. She didn't sit, instead shifting from one foot to the other, nervous. The question of the decaying man was not exactly one relevant to the situation at hand. She could ask later, if she didn't ******** this up irredeemably. "I think I understand what I'm supposed to do," she said, twisting her signet around the finger on which it rested. Nervous habit. She liked that she still had those. "Don't mention magic, don't mention senshi coming from other planets, avoid talking about the Surrounding and the Wonders?" Try not to sound irredeemably insane, basically. "Talk about why I decided to change sides?" Without referring to the ruins of her civilian life. She coudl do that.

"Precisely," Tag beamed. It was nice to have someone who he didn't need to handhold through the process, especially someone so new to the Negaverse. She was proving to be an excellent help in everything he's asked her for, even if a bit uncertain of herself and identity. For all her uncertainty, he was just building confidence in her ability. "What is that you studied, by the way?" he asked with some actual interest. After all, she was one of his charges and he would like to see her be in a position that would suit her interests. He shifted over to Keith and pressed the record button on the camera to get things started, even if their pre-interview chat would get cut on the editing floor in the end of this process. "Perhaps I can still help you find something in your field of interests, not that I'm unhappy with you helping me."

Precisely. It wasn't exactly praise, but it was close enough that Avalon grinned, proud of herself for earning that acknowledgement. She watched Tag cross the room to the cameraman and then return to his chair. "I studied criminal law," she said, folding her hands in her lap, trying very hard to not look at the camera. She'd read up on what to do, and she was determined to do as well at this as she could. "I wanted to be a detective, I think. I want to be one now. But that's a long way off. I looked it up." The urge to fidget was almost insurmountable. She twisted the signet ring on her finger, took a deep breath and squared her shoulders. "I guess once I can prove I took the courses, I could apply for the police academy or something. Or there's always looking for a place with a private detective." She grinned, a little self-deprecating, and said, "I mean, that would be useful to the Negaverse, wouldn't it? I could establish contacts with law enforcement and in the criminal underclass… or something."

"A smart, talented girl like you? I think you'll always be useful to the Negaverse," Tag complimented. "You should do what you like, what makes you feel most comfortable. Your other uses will show themselves when the time arises, I'm sure. But if law enforcement is something you have an interest in, I'm sure your uses will be all the more obvious." He turned back to the camera held by the youma Keith, giving a quick glance to ensure it was recording. "Shall we begin?" he questioned. romeo wilco I thought I had replied to this! I'm sorry for the wait!
