Seiji'd been gone about a week or so...not two weeks yet, but it'd been a while. After her talk with Mac she was finding herself unable to really focus on much of anything, her motivation to really..do anything after reaching her conclusion just gone. What bothered her most was not the actual conclusion, and that was what upset her.

She wasn't as broken up as she should be.

She should be heartbroken, right? She was sad, yeah, but she could move on. Junko could continue on with her life...maybe they could just be friends? Would he understand? No doubt he would be upset. Oh dear..

Junko sighed. She was sitting on a bench at the park by herself, slouching with her elbows on her knees and her head in her hands. This sucked. Why couldn't things have stayed simple? She liked simple. Like that ghoul over there with who was obviously her boilfriend; she looked happy, he looked happy, and they probably were equal amounts of happy. He probably didn't lock himself away like a hermit and refuse to go out for Jack knows how many months it had been. If he had, he probably would have listened to his ghoulfriend when she begged and begged for him to go out somewhere with her instead of finding ways to distract her away from the subject all together.

And that boil over there, his ghoul probably had all the time in the world for him. She probably didn't pile tasks and workloads on herself that stressed her out and exhausted her to the point where she fell asleep in the middle of conversations; she probably didn't lose herself in her work, in a dream goal with her best friend, to the point where she forgot the world around here. To the point where she forgot about everything except the needle and thread in her hand...even her boil. He could probably call her up and she'd answer without missing a beat, she wouldn't miss his calls because she just wasn't paying attention. She could be a good ghoulfriend.

A better ghoulfriend than Junko was right now.

Her hair took up almost the entire bench, hanging limp around the ghoul like a thick black curtain. She was a bad friend and an even worse ghoulfriend...no wonder Seiji wanted to spend two weeks with his parents around their anniversary instead of with her. He must've been tired of her after two years, she'd certainly be.

As it was, Nuk just happened to be gallivanting through the same park that very same day, although almost certainly for completely different reasons. Although he had long since returned to Amityville after his significant absence, the skinwalker slacker had yet to attend a single class this semester, despite being an official student at Amityville Academy. In fact, he wasn't even registered for any classes this semester; if someone were inclined to find it in the mess he called his dorm room, the printout of his schedule would be completely blank, save for his name, his age, and his year. Underneath 'Courses' it would simply be devoid of information, a blank table. Consequently, this left the monster with a lot of free time, time which he spent doing what he had always done at Amityville Academy: goof off. This meant smoking on the roof, avoiding hall monitors and professors which might question him, lounging under staircases and generally being a douche to other students that walked by.

Old habits died hard. He might not have been sure he wanted to be 'evil,' per se, he had always quite enjoyed exerting his macho-jock, 'Alpha Male' status over smaller, weaker students.

On this particular day, the skinwalker had decided he was bored with throwing blood balloons off the top of the monster dorms, and had, after much lazing about and procrastinating making a decision, ended up choosing to go stretch his legs. The park was a perfect place for this; with plenty of space and plenty of foliage, Nuk was free to roam as he wished, running breakneck through the underbrush or swoop high over the treetops. And after doing the latter first, getting his fill of the sensation of flight, the crow had morphed into a wolf as it swooped closer to the ground. It was only shortly after that, while he was chasing after a poor skele-deer that the wind changed in his favor, and Junko's scent reached his canine nose.

One femur clenched in his jaws, (the skele-deer looked very annoyed about it's missing leg, the FEAR in the air slowly starting to reform it,) Nukpana lifted his head, ears perked as he sniffed the air. Hm. It was definitely Junko. He could tell from a mile away; she always smelled faintly of material and thread and even more faintly metallic, and her hair held the scent of some foreign flower he couldn't have named if he'd tried. Padding towards the scent, he flicked his eyes around curiously, searching for the little ghoul. It took a little while, (he was not the best tracker, and actually bypassed her entirely by half a mile or so several times,) but when he finally found her, the skinwalker gave a pleased little wag of his tail, sauntering straight up to the depressed ghoul.

Except it wasn't until he was standing right in front of her that he realized she was depressed at all. Perceptive, wasn't he?

Cocking his head to one side, the black wolf gave her a questioning look, teeth still pulled back around the large bone in his mouth.

A good ghoulfriend wouldn't be thinking about--huh? Junko was distracted away from her depressing thoughts by the arrival of a wolf with a bone. Eh? Did he belong to someone or was he a stray? No, he was too big to be a minipet. No way. Junko blinked and sat up, eyeing the wolf curiously. He looked kind of...familiar. It had been a long, long, long time since she'd seen Nuk as an animal. Why was he looking at her like that? Did he want to play?

Junko smiled. "Hey there~." She would speak to him like a normal person for now. He wasn't a minipet, right? If he wasn't a minipet...hm..

....Wait, she knew a guy who could turn into a black wolf with a skull face.

"Should I keep an eye out for an angry skeleton looking for their leg back, Nuk?" Junko asked with a giggle, holding her arms out to him for a hug. She needed hugs, please. They were vital to her survival.

The moment Junko spoke his name, the wolf gave a canine-grin, lips curling up over sharp teeth, amusement dancing in jet black eyes. Seating himself in front of her, there came a deep rumble in his chest that sounded suspiciously like a laugh before the sound of bones snapping and sinew tearing overshadowed it, his form twisting and reshaping. In a matter of seconds, a very human Nuk crouched before her on his haunches, deer-femur still clenched between his teeth, his lips curled back in a smirk. Clearly, the skinwalker was extremely pleased with himself.

Reaching up with one hand, he took the giant bone from between his teeth as he stood up fully, giving it a little twirl to show off before he gave the ghoul a wink. "Heya Juno," he teased, reaching out to ruffle her hair before scooping her up into a hug. Normally, hugs of this caliber would have ruined his (probably non-existent) street cred, but this was Junko they were talking about. He would beat the snot out of anyone who laughed.

Setting her back down on the bench after a moment, Nuk carefully shifted some of her hair before he flopped down next to her on the bench, hooking his elbows over the backs nonchalantly, bone still curled between his fingers. "Naw, just some dopey deer. The thing didn't even have enough sense to fight me or anything," he replied, snorting incredulously, as if he couldn't believe why a deer wouldn't fight. It was hard to tell whether or not he was being serious, but all things considered... he probably was. Glancing over to Junko, the skinwalker grinned again, reaching over to hook his arm around her shoulder, giving it a gentle shake.

"So what's up with you? You look a little down... everything ok?"

Lifting his fist with the bone still in it, he made an angry face, eyebrows furrowing as he growled.

"Do I need to talk some sense into some guy?"

Junko had never actually watched anyone change from their natural form or a shapeshifted form to a humanoid shape before, so seeing it now was actually rather fascinating. Her arms lowered, and she was glad she hadn't blinked or she may have missed the whole thing! At least now she was glad she had confirmation on who this was in front of her. She couldn't not laugh at the boil sitting like a dog in front of her, bone in his teeth and all. It felt really nice to laugh, she hadn't done it since she'd talked to Mac. Junko was even still giggling when he put on a little show with the bone and ruffled her hair, giving an excited little squeal of surprise when she was picked up for a hug. The hug was eagerly returned, the ghoul burying her face against her 'big brother's' shoulder until she was sat down on the bench again where she sat to one side, pulling all of her hair to one side over her shoulder to clear a space for Nuk; his help was greatly appreciated. "Aw, that's mean." Junko pouted and reached for the bone, trying to take it from him. "You probably scared the poor thing."

When he grabbed her she squeaked, her cheeks turning pink with embarrassment at Nuk's sudden improvement in his observational skill. "Ah it's..um--oh! N-no! You really, really don't. I uh...no it's.." The ghoul ducked her head like she was trying to hide in a non-existent shell, leaning against Nuk and resting her head against his shoulder. "You don't, I promise. I'm a bad ghoulfriend is all..." She was quiet for a long moment, a small frown on her lips and her eyes cast down away from Nuk.

And then suddenly she perked up, her hair raising with forced excitement. "Can we go do something fun? I wanna do something fun!" Junko speaks good.

The skinwalker's eyebrow lifted slightly as he listened to Junko stutter over her words, his stare thick with skepticism. Nuk might have not been the suspicious type, but he wasn't a complete idiot; Junko was acting funny, funnier than usual. And not 'haha' funny either. She was acting funny-weird, certainly not normal. Normal-Junko was cheerful and, while silly, was certainly not a bad ghoulfriend. In fact, he wasn't convinced she had ever been a bad anything, especially anything with the word 'friend' in it. She'd always been there for him when he'd needed her, even trying to make him go to class, despite his every effort to lounge around and be a lazy good-for-nothing. Still, when she leaned against him, Nuk didn't confront her about it, instead sliding his hand up from her shoulder to pet her hair, letting her take comfort on his shoulder.

"Naw, you're not a bad ghoulfriend," he replied, resting his chin on top of her head, "Why would you go an' think sum'm like that? You're, like, one of the nicest ghouls I know."

Lifting his head off of hers, the skinwalker gave her another curious look at the sudden excitement, letting his hand slide off her head to her shoulder again. "Uh... sure, 'course we can," he replied with a grin, giving her shoulder a little shake. Getting up off the bench, he tossed her the bone, shooting her another wink before he kicked off the ground, transforming mid-lunge back into the wolf. Giving Junko a doggy-grin, he bent down onto his elbows, wagging his tail and glancing at the bone, nudging her foot with his nose.

Nuk was clearly too nice to see the truth. He was blinded by his love for her, too biased to understand what a terrible person she really was. Terrible. The worst. But she was glad for the hug and comforting, closing her eyes and making a tiny little happy noise. It felt nice.

When Nuk sat up and agreed they could go do something fun she clapped her hands and sat up as well, at least until he shook her shoulder. Junko played it up like he was really bothering her, loosening up so she really moved with his help. She even made sounds to go with her suffering until he stopped so she could fumble with the bone and catch it, looking down curiously at it. What was he..?

"Awwwww! You're so cute!" Junko giggled and stood, attempting to twirl the bone like he had done earlier and...failing miserably. The bone smacked her in the face before it fell, landing on her foot before it just laid there on the ground. Junko blushed, rubbing her cheek and pouting. "You didn't see that.." She then picked the bone up with a long tendril of hair, using it to throw the bone away from them. This was what he was offering, right? Fetch with the puppy~
