Her morning hunt had been successful. At least successful enough to help feed her grandchildren so they would grow with full bellies. Her son of course was helping since they were his children but he never had been much of a hunter and it seemed to show. With his mate not willing to hunt for whatever reason, it left the elderly lioness to pick up the slack, not that she really minded. Eonar was resting underneath one of the scattered trees located in the Pridelands. The heat of the afternoon sun was harsher towards her then those younger than her so she sought refuge from it more often than naught.
A sigh escaped Eonar's lungs as she shifted on the grass beneath her. At least there was joy to be had again with the reunion of her and her son Persikka and then the birth of her grandchildren. It felt as though...something was missing and there was. It was huge hole and there nothing in the world that could fill it except what was once there.

The lioness Aman'thul had met escorted him around her father's territory, in order to avoid any fighting. The male had not questioned this, knowing how easily a male could fly into a fit when another entered his lands. However the way around felt as if it took far too long. Through the time though he didn't complain. She had been kind enough to show him the way, the last thing he wanted was to offend her. However upon reaching the other side of the unknown male's pride territory the female halted and pointed him onward. On her word he continued. He had been told this place was called the Pride Lands and was home to many lions, something he was yet to quite believe. The large male paused in his journey. He was so close to the end, however exhaustion was starting to wear on him after pushing himself so hard to keep going. Aman'thul came to rest by a pool of water, crouching at it's edge to drink his fill. The water was a much needed relief, and he got a small bit of shade from a rocky outcropping that jutted forth and cast a shadow upon a quarter of the pool.

Raising her head, something managed to snag Eonar's attention. She had begun familiarizing herself with many of the members of the Pridelands and this figure in the distance didn't seem to ring any bells even when she tried squinting her eyes. Sighing, the lioness rose to her paws. It was better to check things out though; just in case it was a rogue who meant harm to the pride. "Hey you!" She called out as she began the walk over towards him. Of course her voice wasn't that loud so it was unlikely this unknown lion even heard her.
What a day...

The water was surprisingly cool for such a warm day, or perhaps it was just the heat that made it seem so. In any way he was glad to have come across it. His desire to get here had pushed the last watering hole from his mind, as well as his previous intentions to get a drink, and he had quickly regretted it. Water dripped from his chin as he raised his head, ears perking forward as a sound caught his attention. It sounded like a voice, and as he stood and looked around he spotted a lioness heading his way. She was still some distance away, though the sight of another lion made him a bit excited. Perhaps they were part of these Pride Lands.
"Hello there!" He called back in return, unsure if they would even really be able to hear him. Aman was quickly upright and making his way closer, the smile fading slowly as realization seemed to sink in. The lioness came more clearly in to focus, and like ghost of his memories she was there walking towards him. Eonar. Shock left the male mute, and he didn't even realize he had stopped walking.

The lioness' paws stopped abruptly as she returned the stare. Never had she expected to see him standing there. Obviously changed by the world, but still so very much how she remembered him. Words left her as did the air in her lungs or at least that's how Eonar felt. "Aman..thul?" She asked cautiously, hoping that her memories weren't betraying her by fooling her with illusions of love gone by and that he wouldn't just vanish by uttering his name. Seconds passed and still he remained. "What..how..." So many words and thoughts came crashing into her mind that Eonar could no longer separate her thoughts to form proper questions. Instead of speaking, her paws carried her to close the remaining gap between them so that she could push her head into his mane. All she needed to know now was that she was glad to see him again.

The shock was shared between the two. He couldn't believe his eyes. Sure he had continued to hope she was alive, but now she was really there standing before him! The fears that she was one of the huntresses he had found, what had happened, everything left his mind and in that moment there was only overwhelming happiness. And her. Before he could regain control Eonar rushed forward, her face buried into his mane. He set his chin atop her head. "Eonar." Aman spoke softly, his voice finally returning. "I had thought to never see you again."

"And the same to you." Oh how she could just stand there forever like that, perfectly happy and content. Eonar could not help the large-spread smile on her maw that even began to make her face hurt. She pulled her face away from him just long enough to look up at him as she sat herself down. "You know, your son...our son is here too. I'm sure he'd be just as thrilled as I am to see you again. Especially after...suddenly losing you." The last words were hard to say and came out choked as Eonar pushed her face back into his mane once more.

Aman'thul had been just about to ask of his son when Eonar herself brought it up. He nuzzled her lightly, understanding very well how she felt. "I am just glad that you are alright. What about Persikka, did he make it away alright?" Aman was slightly worried for the reply. His son may have escaped, but had he done so unharmed?

Eonar nodded against his chest as she turned her head to rest her cheek against him. "Persikka's fine. In fact...he found a lady and settled down here. I'm sure he'd love to introduce you to your grandchildren but that can wait. I'm sure you're tired and hungry. Come on, I'll take you back to Pride Rock and get you something to eat."

"Grandchildren?" Aman'thul repeated, brow raising in amusement. He chuckled lightly. "Well I can't wait to meet them, this lady of his and his kids, however a rest and a bit of food sounds wonderful." Persikka was okay, even better than Aman had thought in fact. However now that he was here Aman was going nowhere and had all the time in the world to catch up with his son, as well as Eonar.

"Yes, grandchildren." Eonar couldn't help but smile just at the fact he had to repeat it. Oh he would love them. Even though few looked like them, they were still their flesh and blood. Giving him an affectionate lick on his cheek before raising onto her paws. "Come on then. You've got a lot of catching up to do." It was true though, there were a lot of people to meet though many of those were just going to be the hunters in his party. Standing a little distance away, waiting until he was beside her to keep walking, she escorted him back to Pride Rock.

Aman'thul nodded in agreement as he made to follow, walking closely at her side as he followed her towards Pride Rock.
