I create this topic so you post your country's myths about monster and supernatural events.First i will start with Puerto Rico,my home country.
Here,in El Yunque,our national rain forest,lies all kind of things.From Indian bones to U.F.O sightings.One of our myths talk about a vampire that appeared in late 90's.People saw it sucking some animals blood and they even make it responsible for a person's death.Years later,they saw another animal similar to the vampire one called El Chupacabra.Named like this because it only has killed farm animals.Chupa/Suck-Cabra/Goat.Some years after they found a baby of El Chupacabra and killed it.They even took a picture of it aswell.Then they saw another creature that had wings and that when escaping,it just jumps and get pretty high up without using its wings.They even say that it immigrated to Mexico and Spain for they've seen it in those countries.But when did all this start?Well,in the late 60's an american scientist came to Puerto Rico and when he was in La Laguna de Fajardo,he saw a creature with wings and gills.It flew around and then got into the lagoon.He decided to go in after a couple of weeks to catch the creature.The creature wrapped its tail around his neck choking him.He grabbed his knife and stabbed the creature before he lost his breath.He managed to get out with the body and took a picture of it and sent it to the UPR (Universidad de Puerto Rico)Then he took the creature to his house and studied it but the CIA came and took the creature.He got back to the lagoon and killed another one,only in a small size.When he was studying the creature in his house,it mysteriously exploded with the scientist and the body inside.
