A small little restaurant that serves drinks and sushi on a daily basis. The place is quite popular among the locals.

Walking into the sushi shop, there was a silght jingle from the genin’s clothing. Her clothing was strange, but nothing that a shinobi would see as weird due to the fact. . .let’s just not talk about their clothes. The female took a seat knowing what she wanted already, if only someone would understand her this time around, or that she didn’t get frustrated and just leave. Her hands and a portion of her upperbody stretched across the mahogany countertop, the sensation of the cool wood not at all changing her features. . ”What would you like?” Sayankji’s eyes shifted upward to see a male clad in the usual Itamae attire. . . white hat, white coat and apron, and a knife in a sheath off the waist; typical. Her response dealt with sign language. Her hands displayed Can I get six yellowfin and two salmon Makizushi, three crucian carp narezushi and three octopus Nigirizushi? She asked but his countenance was one of utter confusion. ”You want Beef Ramen?” he asked which was nowhere close to what she wanted. Her hands repeated the same order, but he got the same thing ”Shrimp, NO NO. . .Um. . . Sashimi?! Sake. . . Wait you seem a bit too young for that. . .” The mute adolescent threw her hands up in irritation. She just couldn’t even. . .it was so annoying that she was trying to order. . .and BEEF?! If anyone knew Sayankji she did not eat beef, it did deal a good amount with her mother’s religious background though she did not hold the same beliefs; it was just bred into her to not like it. She shook her head and started pointing to things, She pointed to someone else’s food, pointing out what she wanted off of their plate. The man didn’t understand why she didn’t just speak; so he asked her. ”Why didn’t you just say so? he asked. the genin’s mouth formed into a hideously thin line . ’He can’t be serious. . .?’ she only thought that he would catch on. . .but clearly not. There was no way to explain that she was a mute aside from writing it out. . .but he began to make her requests, but no one else had the narezushi so instead she hunted around her bag and pulled out a sheet of paper then looked to him and shook her hand to state she needed a pen. . .or at least had one. His citron orbs narrowed as he was slightly unsure of what she wanted. "Pen?" he questioned, a thin black eyebrow slowly skating upward. Her mouth opened and started mouthing YES A PEN! But she instead nodded afterward; and he got it. The itamae's hand searched around and somehow came across a pen and handed it to her, laughing at the fact she didn't just speak; probably thinking it was a game or something. Her left hand was a flurry, writing what she wanted quickly and showing him . . . god forbid he was an illiterate. He read the order and finally started to make it, Sayankji sitting up and watching. She should have did something. . .perhaps a mission. . .or even just training; but in reality she was just trying to get away from her annoying mother at the moment. It was rather depressing that the teen was fully aware of her mother's uselessness. . .but there's no way to really fix eleven years of depression.

Eventually she wrote on the other side that she was mute. This conversation was about to get just sad. ”What does that mean? You can’t talk, or is it like a day of silence?" She sat there for a moment with the same expression, it was a mixture of 'I don't even' and 'idiot'. ’EVERY DAMN DAY IS A DAY OF SILENCE FOR ME' she thought on the verge of standing up and flipping a table . . . Or just reaching over and punching the man square in the jaw for his stupidity. At least he was good at something, or so she hoped as he created her order. She only waited patiently with her face pressed against the wood bar top, just leaving him to his own devices as she was afraid of anymore unintelligent statements.

They walked up and down the streets, keeping an eye out for any one. Sadly due to the rain, there was just nobody outside. It had been maybe an hour or so, since they had been searching for this girl. Aqua and his two companions came to their third dead end street. like the other dead ends, there was no one there. What made this different from the others, was an open sushi shop. Haveing been searching for about an hour, Aqua decided to grab a bite to eat. This would give the kids a break, and allow Aqua to map out all the streets they have covered, in his head. "Hey you guys hungry"
Aqua asked to his fellow companions. Not allowing them to answer, he made his way into the shop. As he entered, he could feel the difference in temperature. Aqua lifted his right arm and ruffled his aquatic blue's hair. One could have expected water to fall around him, but there was no water. For some one who was walking around in the rain, Aqua was pretty dry. In fact, Aqua was dry, there wasn't a single drop on his body.

The shop was semi full. For how many people that were there, little noise was being made. The guess could have nothing to say or they were busy eating their meals. He took a quick look around, and saw an empty table off to a corner. Aqua gestured to the kids to sit at the empty table. He in turn left them their so he could go to the little boys room.

It was her arch nemesis. . .the chopstick. She fiddled with the wooden sticks of doom in an attempt to pick up a piece of sushi. It was failure upon failure, the small female infuriated at the strange idea of using a pair of sticks as utensils. ’WHO CAME UP WITH THIS?!’ she thought in a fury most foul. After the umpteenth failure, Sayankji just gave up. . .Stabbing it straight through the middle with a thumping noise to follow it. She had no idea she was in a squad, probably because she was sitting in the sushi shop. . .trying to deal with idiots and demon sticks. Let alone that they were in the shop; this making her even further unaware. After a poor moment of reflection on the situation, she started eating with her stabbing motions, an audible thud on each one.

                CRACK’

The heinous stick was now broken in her hand, half of it still in her piece of narezushi. She appeared to be crazy, having a silent fit. If she had a voice it would have been a heathenistic slew of profanity due to her rage. Luckily enough for her it was the last piece, her small hand picking it up and removing the other part of the stick; sticking it right into her maw. She pierced her pinkish-brown lips shut. Her eyes creating a silent inquiry but there was one thing for sure, she wasn’t going to order anything else as she highly questioned the itamae’s intelligence. . .and she didn’t want to go through that hellish conversation again. Soon enough she just folded her hands. Not at all caring about what was going on around her. She was fairly noticeable, all her jingling would give her away along with her. . . strange attire. ’I’ll just sit here for a bit and just, who am I kidding? He might try to talk to me.’ she thought are her bored vermilion eyes were set on the itamae in annoyance for a split second, only to return to the mahogany counter.

"We are judged by what we cannot change..."

Kaede sighed as Aqua seemingly began walking without actually making any form of confirmation with the others about if they had or hadn't wanted something to eat. He honestly had no other option than following the Jounin, at this point. After deciphering this, Kaede began walking behind Aqua, at, a seemingly decent distance, as he hadn't the mind to get into line and pace with the man. Time seemed to past irrelevantly quickly, as Aqua carried on walking to, what appeared to be, seemingly no where. Kaede was not necessarily sure that the carefree shinobi, Aqua, truly had so much knowledge about his own village. He supposed that he'd only have to follow the Jounin, as he'd still had no other options. As Aqua had continued to lead Kaede and his other Genin companion through the dank streets, Kaede noticed that he'd halted in front of a sushi shop. It must have been him that was hungry, not paying any mind to if the others actually were.
Kaede walked in a rather casual and laid back way as he'd followed behind Aqua into the shop. He took a look around- the atmosphere was quite nice, however, the place did seem rather crowded. Kaede wasn't one for largely populated areas, but, he'd supposed that it would be suitable enough for however long they might be there, simply, just as long as he wouldn't have to converse with anyone. He'd noticed that Aqua shot a gesture, to Kaede and Ayawa, towards an empty table off towards the far end of the room. Before Kaede could reply, Aqua had already wandered off. He wasn't very good about informing others of anything, it seemed.
Kaede decided that, instead of immediately directing his body towards the end of the room, he would walk up to the counter, despite it being as crowded as it was. He highly doubted the menu would have anything that he would eat, as, he did refuse to eat any fleshy substance. He was a vegetarian, however, Aqua probably wouldn't pay the mind to ask. Kaede took a gander at one of the smaller, handheld menus that the shop offered. It was simply a light piece of paper, however, it was traditionally decorated. The shop was probably of a decent age.
It seemed to Kaede that, this shop, had nothing that he would eat- there was no sushi that did not contain fish. It shouldn't have surprised him, as, this was the Kirigakure after all, and, they were supposedly on a mission regarding the docks. Kaede decided he would just take a seat on the far end of the counter, where no one else seemed to have positioned themselves, save one female of a darker skin tone, who seemed quite accessorized, but, Kaede paid no immediate mind. Weaving his way through the crowd, he'd found his way towards the counter in which he had led himself towards. It was emptier than he'd thought, which he enjoyed. Kaede pulled a chair outwards, and sat.

Aqua re-emerged from the restroom. Still drying his hands, Aqua made his way over to the assigned table. As it came into his view he noticed, that one of the kids had moved. Doing a quick scan, aqua found Kaede's location. He assumed that he was ordering something, if not, Aqua wasn't sure why Kaede was at the front counter. An any case Aqua sat down at the table, he sat opposite to the little genin girl, but still had the genin boy within his peripheral vision.

Ayawa didn't do much, but sit there quietly. This didnt bother Aqua for he had things to think about. He pulled out the folder containing the information of their final squad member, and reviewed it for the third time. Aqua had each paper laid out, to were none were stacked on top of each other. In the center was the picture of the final member. Doing as he had planned, Aqua mapped out, in his head, the streets they had covered in the previous hour. Despite what the kids might have thought, Aqua was quite familiar with the village layout, he just didn't like to visit the village. On top of that, it helped that the village never really changed.

To the children on the other hand, it may have seemed as thou he had no clue were he was wondering. This was only partially true to the fact that, Aqua had no clue as to the location of his squad members. This was all last minute that the Mizukage dropped this task upon him. Truth be told, it was by random luck that he had manage to locate Kaede. If Aqua had some form of a clue as to their locations, this search would have gone by a whole lot faster. Judging from the empty streets, a thought crossed Aqua's brain. "What if she was at home." This wasn't a bad thought, since no one seemed to be out side, due to the weather. Sadly this thought wouldn't make it easier for Aqua, for there was no home address on the papers.

As Aqua was into deep thought, a server approached his table. The server was a petite girl. Aqua guessed, that she was about five foot five inches in height, and maybe around 90 lbs. She was a fairly attractive girl, that dawned a white shirt with black pants. She had brought over a pitcher of water with two clear 16oz drinking cups. "Cute girl, that your daughter?" The server said as a way to break the ice, so to speak. As his thoughts were broken by her words, Aqua smiled. He thought she was talking about Ayawa, but the server was pointing at the picture of Sayankji.

Before Aqua was gonna reply with a no, she had asked to take a better look at the pick. Aqua gave her a simple smile, and handed her the pic. She probably just wanted to look at the picture, but Aqua kept an open mind. There could be a small chance that she could have recognized her. As the server looked over the photo, Aqua grouped the papers together and placed them back into his robe, this was a way to keep the server from overlooking the details of the documents.

"Do you know her?" Aqua asked in a polite tone. The server raised a brow and replied, "Sorry I personally don't, but she looks familiar." A small sign of hope, sparked within Aqua. "Familiar?" he replied to the server. "Yea I may he seen her earlier, hold on." The server placed the water and drinking cups on the table, and took off with the photo. Aqua was going to stop her, until he realized she was going to ask a co-worker. Even so, Aqua kept an eye on her as she maneuvered throughout the shop. He had lost sight as she disappeared behind a crowd. Aqua was about to stand up, when she re-emerged in-between Kaede and Sayankji. "look familiar" she said as she handed the photo to the cook.

"We are judged by what we cannot change..."

Kaede took a moment to enjoy the atmosphere of the small sushi shop. It was dimly lit with shoji lamps in several corners of the room, which shone in a somewhat weak and extremely light shade of maroon. These lamps were also accompanied by arrays of maru lanterns hanging themselves from the ceiling, who shone a bit brighter than the dimly lit shoji lamps. Kaede felt rather comfortable in this shop- it was a calming place. He looked to the floors, then, and noticed that they appeared to be made of various rows of bamboo, while the counters, tables, and chairs seemed to be carved out of a darker wood- possibly cedar. If this place were empty, Kaede felt that he could be almost completely relaxed. The shop was very calming, when all of the details were taken into account.
Kaede's thoughts were interrupted as he noticed, out of his peripheral vision, a woman- who appeared to likely be a waitress in the restaurant- paused, standing between himself and the female two seats to his immediate left. He had suspected she was merely there to ask him what he would have liked to order, in which his response would have been a mere note that he wasn't interested in any of the food served at the place. However, Kaede seemed to notice that she wasn't there for him- she'd had a piece of paper in her hand, as to which she seemed to be asking a co-worker about. Generally, this would not have struck Kaede's interest, if it was not an image of the female who was seated near to himself that was on said bit of paper.
Kaede took a moment to recollect all of his thoughts. Looking over, through his peripheral vision, he observed to female. Her hair appeared to be a darker shade of black, however it seemed tinted with a shade of purple. Her eyes were a very stark shade of red, similar to that of a newly bloomed rose, which matched the moderately sized accessories on either side of her head, which fell downwards into a black veil. As he began paying closer mind to her appearance, he did recognize her, though only from when he had been looking through the village roster. She was the last member of the squad that had been assigned to the Jounin, Aqua. Kaede then identified her as Sayankji Tyalainn Amroliwallah.
Kaede didn't believe that he should be the one to speak with Sayankji- he was not necessarily one for speaking with people, and it already proved to be a bother enough being in this squad. Placing his two forefingers on the counter, he slowly lifted himself up, placing his feet back onto the ground. Kaede decided that he would simply weave his way back through the crowds, to give Aqua a word regarding the matter. After having risen to his stance, Kaede began making his way through the crowded restaurant, back to Aqua's location. Upon arrival, he gave Aqua no sign that he had returned, assuming that the Jounin had already known such. Kaede merely gestured his hand in the general direction of Sayankji, and spoke the words, "I believe that that is the Sayankji Tyalainn Amroliwallah that you were looking for."

Kāetorii arrived and sat down at their assigned table. As he sat, he had informed Aqua of the girls presents. Aqua looked in the direction of were the boy was pointing. Through the crowd, he could see a girl sitting at the front counter. He gave one last look at Kāetorii and said' "Splendid." At that note he excused himself from the table. Aqua, swiftly made his way through the crowd. Having been able to successfully maneuver through the crowd, he approached the final girl to their squad.

In the few seconds to proceed, Aqua decided how to best approach her. Could he drag on a conversation, or should he just get this over with. Aqua supposed they have wasted enough time searching, that he chose not to waste any more time. He extended his right arm forward. With a slender finger, he gently tap the girl on her right shoulder. In conjunction with taping her shoulder, Aqua spoke in a friendly tone. "Miss Tyalainn?"

_ Ayawa sat quietly at the table aqua had told her to, she was slightly hungry but she refused to eat any food cooked by others. Maybe before the mission started she could pop to her apartment and grab some left overs. As time went on she slowly pulled out her cloak and wrapped herself in it, this cloak was that of a grown woman, so having a child wear it seemed rather odd. She guessed that they would stay here till the last member was found which worked for her since she was actually quite tired. Having the body of a 5 year old even if it has the strength of a older person still didn't allow for much without the need of a nap. In her chair she slowly fell asleep completely wrapped up in the cloak, it would be easy for someone to just pick her up in this position if needed.

Now Sayankji was not one to appreciate being touched, so at first she flinched. She turned around and set her sights on some man she remembered seeing at some point. . .but not at all recollecting where she gave a light wave, and started scribbling on the piece of paper and rose it up to him. It simply read Hello, sir. she had no idea but assuming from his features he was older than she was. She observed his sea of hair. . .the color appearing as a softer shade of Atropa Belladonna; deadly nightshade if you will. She then set her sights on his eyes, they were not frightening for the rather desensitized genin. She then went back to scribbling once more, this second piece paper had a rather good question. May I ask how you know my name? Her dull vermilion eyes remained on him in curiosity. He seemed to be someone of importance. . .well more important than herself. She was unsure of where he came from, but her observing dull gaze seemed to pick up that he was shinobi of sorts. . .possibly a jounin. Then her hands started to move instead, relaying a sign language message that he probably wasn’t going to get. Is there something that you request of me sir? I know I should have taken a mission and I do look rather lazy. of course there was an extremely low possibility of him understanding what she just signed out.

"We are judged by what we cannot change..."

Kaede followed the Jōnin, Aqua, with his eyes as the man swiftly maneuvered his way through the crowd of people, weaving between people as he made his way towards the female- Sayankji Tyalainn Amroliwallah- whom Kaede had directed him to. He looked down to his somewhat new Genin companion- acquaintance, rather- Ayawa, had seemed to have fallen asleep in one of the two wooden chairs on either side of the table that Aqua had asked the group to rendezvous at. He took a moment to realize that the cloak that she was wearing was that of an adult, however, based on the stitching, it appeared to be made for her specific build, despite her young age. Kaede had already picked up many out of the ordinary details about the child, however, he had no intent on making any notice regarding them. It was difficult to surprise him, and he was not always prepared for any event, despite the amount of shock it might cause to others. That was simply his nature- he would allow life to do as it pleased, and he would simply follow close behind, or rather, several steps ahead.
Pulling the wooden chair opposite to Ayawa outwards, Kaede sat down. He took a moment to keep both Ayawa, and Aqua and Sayankji in his peripheral vision. Despite this, he focus was mainly shifted towards the Jōnin and the newcomer Genin. Kaede immediately noticed that Sayankji was literally mute, hence her title in the village roster. He found that she was using a writing utensil and paper to make up for her lack of speech, but after two pauses to stop and write, she made several hand gestures. She was not using jutsu- this was plain enough to see. It must have been sign language- Kaede had studied this in a book some time ago. Often, those who could not hear or could not speak would either watch others use sign language, or use it themselves. He understood the dialect well enough that he could form the question and self-answer that Sayankji had given to Aqua. Kaede could tell that she- unlike himself- was already aware that she was a Genin in the Kirigakure. It was also evident, however, that she was unaware that Aqua was to be her sensei, and that Ayawa and Kaede would be her fellow comrades.
Kaede considered making his way over to Aqua, however he knew that leaving Ayawa behind would be a poor decision while she was asleep. He came to the conclusion that he would simply keep his current position at their designated table. The Jōnin would be able to comprehend the writing, Kaede knew, and he should have been fine enough if he didn't understand the sign language.

Aqua awaited for the girl to speak, but instead she wrote on two pieces of paper. The first held a simple hello, and the second bore a question. She wanted to know how he knew her name. Aqua was going to answer, but he was interrupted by her hands. He felt no sudden impulse to react, as she made hand signs. These were not jutsu hand signs, but a universal language. Aqua was not capable of understanding, much less answering in this language. Even so, he understood, that this was her form of speaking.

He had thought that her nick name may have been created, for a possible shyness. As of now, it appeared that she truly couldn't speak, or she chose not to speak. Going off of the second paper, he assumed the combination of hand signs, was a third question. Aqua raised his right hand and presented a charming smile. "My name is Aqua" he spoke in a friendly tone. "I know your name because it was given to me." Aqua took a seat next to her, he did so, so they could be at eye level. Aqua looked directly into the girls dull vermilion eyes. As he did, he continued to speak in his friendly tone. "I was applying for a mission, when our dear kage came up with a interesting idea. This idea was for me to take you and two others, on my mission."

He took a pause before he spoke again. "So i guess that makes me your Sensei. Now if its ok with you, id like you to meet your new comrades. Follow me." At that final note, Aqua stood and began to make his way back to the table. Aqua did so with out her response. It wasn't that he was careless of other, he just felt he had said enough. Even so this was appearing to be a recurring habit of his. In a way, this left those he was talking to, less of a way to protest.

(( OOC: alright its almost time for the mission, jaja))

She nodded at his response of his name, and then rose a thin eyebrow with his second statement. She failed to assume it was something foul, perhaps she was to be reprimanded for something? Well she had no idea, but when he sat down, her near dead stare met his. Her facial expression read absolutely nothing as he explained why he was there. It was a simple thing of course, this man with hair resembling a paler version of sonic the hedgehog explained that he was to be her sensei. Sayankji was clearly relieved that he was to be her sensei, there were a few questionable individuals that were indeed jonin. . .this being a relief. She gave a nod at his statement about meeting her fellow comrades for the time being. So she hopped off of the seat, her stature being that of a high and mighty four feet and eleven inches. . .minuscule. She made it over to the table, the only thing that was similar to her in height was of course. . .a five year old? It was rather depressing, but after a bit of awkward observations she picked up her small pad and started writing yet again, holding it up with four words on it. What is the mission? this query was a very good one to ask. She hated going into such a thing unprepared, then again what did she need, examining her person everything was on her. . .which she was not at all surprised about. The genin had a tendency to carry all of her things before she went on a mission. The female’s small hand rose slowly; only to wave politely, remain standing, and her dead gaze shift over to the small child that was sleeping. Sayankji was a sight to see herself. . .joining her herd of shinobi. Her eyes slowly traveled from the cocooned child to the other genin, his eyes immediately catching her attention. She gave a nod to the effeminate male and remained standing. She had no reason to sit down if they were to leave soon, at least that was what the mute assumed. Her lips then pierced shut, unsure if she were to write something down or if the wave was enough. . . she decided the wave was enough because writing would probably annoy them . . . at least that was what she assessed from many conversations from others. Why didn’t she wave at Aqua? She began to think about that, slowly, her eyes floating off into the abyss known as thought.

"We are judged by what we cannot change..."

Kaede's attention was immediately altered from paying mind to both Ayawa, and Aqua and Sayankji, as the Jounin abruptly halted his conversation with the Genin to once again, swerve his way through the crowd and back to the table in which both of his other students were seated. Kaede paid no mind to Aqua, however- he had now come to decipher that this was something that the Jounin did naturally, whether it be lack of want for conversation or simply to force others to have to follow his lead, Kaede was unsure of. It was Sayankji that Kaede was paying his immediate attention to, albeit he did remain in a calculating manner with his other surroundings still in mind.
Kaede was always one to analyze a person's appearance- it often spoke very much about who that they were, exactly, and, it also gave an idea of a person's personality. He had already taken a general observation of his newest Genin comrade, however, for only a short period of time. Now seeing her at her full height, he noticed that she was rather short- five feet, possibly a small amount below, if he had guessed correctly. Her stature was thin and petite, however much of her clothes were bulkier in appearance. And now knowing that she was, in fact, unable to speak, Kaede found that she might be an interesting companion in Squad One. Aqua Houzuki, Ayawa Katomi, Sayankji Tyalainn Amroliwallah, and Kaede Aoi Kaetorii. An externally appearing five year old female, a mute female, and a solitary male. Kaede enjoyed the thought of this- he believed that they might be a very strong squad.
Interrupting his train of thought, Sayankji rose a small pad of paper. Kaede had guessed that it had writing on it, in which, yes, it did. He read, "What is the mission?" off of it. He looked up at her, as he noticed that she had caught his gaze. Before replying to this question, he began to, instead of returning her general wave, nor her specified nod, make several gestures of the hand. Kaede was not one who necessarily enjoyed speaking with others, so he thought he might enjoy having a mute comrade- especially if he could converse with them in a way that others might not be able to simply understand. His hand gestures read, in sign language, "Hello there. My name is Kaede Aoi Kaetorii," he paused to think about what he would add, next, "I am pleased to make your acquaintance." Kaede then decided that he would allow Aqua to respond to her previously asked question. He, as the leader of the squad and the one who chose the mission, would likely be both more knowledgeable, and have more reason to be the one to announce it. Kaede instead stayed seated where he was, leaving space for either Sayankji or Aqua to seat themselves next to himself, as there were only four chairs, alongside only four people. No one had eaten, yet, after all, and that is the reason in which they had come to the sushi bar in the first place.

Aqua had returned, although this time he wasn't alone. Following close behind was the little mute girl. Aqua dwarfed her, as she stood by his side. She probably wasn't even five foot, he guessed. Aqua chose to take a seat next to the sleeping genin. As he sat there, a semi cynical thought crossed his head. He wondered if he should scare the girl into waking up. Although this would greatly amuse him, he couldn't. Instead, he reached over and gave her two taps on her head, with his index figure.

Aqua wanted her to be awake, so they could all know what the mission was. After doing so, Aqua turned his attention to his other two students. As he turned, he caught Tyalainn waving at her new found companions. As she waved, Kaede responded. This was slightly surprising for aqua to see, for Kaede replied not with words but with hand signs. In a way it looked as if he was throwing gang signs. Seeing Kaede communicate in this fashion, Aqua thought that this form of communication, could be a useful technique to learn. As the child continued, aqua began to wonder. "why does Tyalainn use had signs if she is a mute and not deaf." This was a question that he would have to place on hold for the time being.

Once Kaede finishing his series of hand signs, Tyalainn raised a paper. Written on that paper was the follow question, "What is the mission?"Aqua smiled as he read the golden question. "Ahh yes, "The mission"." Aqua spoke in his friendly tone. "I suppose you can call it an investigation. It would appear that boats have been disappearing from the docs. These disappearances have been happening over night. Due to the mysteriousness of these events, some of the more superstitious towns folk, believe its the sanbi." Aqua took a slight pause before he continued. "There for this mission is ranked, as a B-rank mission." Aqua had taken another pause to see if there were to be any questions, so far. If not he would let them know a little more, then they could finally start the mission.
