Kettil wanted to go fishing but he didn't wish to go alone. He wasn't sure who was busy and who wasn't busy, but he knew Mot lived near Freya's dorm. By the simple fact that Mot lived closest he was the first boil to be lovingly harassed.

The Muut drew up his hands and began to paw and tap at the door with alternating and varying rhythms, "Mot~! O' Mot~!! Where be you? I want to take you fishing with meee~." It was almost like Mot's own personal serenade. Sadly what waited him on the other side was a bored and possibly slightly crazed Reaper instead of a pretty young ghoul.

"If you want we can steal one more person and make it a boil's day ouuuut~," he sing-songed more. More taps, more pawing at the door. "Please be in Mot~. We haven't spent time together in forevvveeerrrrr~!!!! Didn't our special day mean something to you~...?"

What was the racket? Mot looked up from his woodworking work, to the door that was being attacked so disturbingly by a needy reaper. Mot would have answered right away, but it was kind of embaressing. Maybe if he pretended he wasn't in..

Nope. He'd better answer.

"Don't say things in such a way, Kettil! People will get bad ideas about u----augh." The reaper caught himself and sighed, scratching his head.

"I'd be happy to go fishing again. But who else could we take with us? Please don't say its Mac. I beg of you..."

Kettil beamed happily as Mot finally came to the door. Arms flew up in a pose of victory and happiness! It was like a large over excited foxfire once you got Kettil going. The boil froze at Mot's words as if he wasn't sure what to make of the request.

"Maybe Shun? Let's go get Shun. I bet he needs company, friends, and an outing. Did you see how pale he is? He needs some sun," Kettil jabbered on as if he'd just suddenly been injected with a syringe of pure sugar and energy incarnate.

He sort of paused, "...Come to think of it maybe you need some, too. You ready? We'll get Shun...Together!"

Needless to say he ignored the fact that Mot was embarrassed about their special time.

"Shun? Hmm.." Shun didn't really seem hungry for social interaction. Still, didn't mean they couldn't try. "A boil's day out sounds really fun! Sure, let's try! And uh..."

Mot leaned in, using his hand to hide his face as he whispered. "Don't go around saying 'special day' okay? That just sounds wrong.." He sighed and straightened up. "I'll take you to Shun's room."

Kettil stared at Mot for a long moment, "But Mot, that day was very special to me. It was the day we met and became friends!"

...It was true. So very true it hurt. Even though Kettil didn't seem hurt that Mot seemed insistent on changing the phrasing or even trying to not say anything about it at all. Either way it was oddly touching?

The boil grinned at Mot, "I know where his room is! One day I caught fish so he'd make me sushi and I didn't know where his room was and I just yelled in the hallways 'til I found him!" Kettil informed looking so very proud of himself for his top notch detective work. Kettil began to march forward after slinging an arm about Mot's shoulders.

Kettil was certainly a special boil. Just how was this Boil's Day Out going to turn out? The straight laced Shun, the flamboyant Kettil, and the nervous and naiive Mot.

Sigh.

"Right. We did become friends that day. But where is Ende?" Oops.

Mot let the other boil sling an arm around him, since it seemed to make him happy. Once they arrived at Shun's room, Mot knocked three times.

Rather unaware of the adventure he was about to be pulled into, Shun had just been lost in the moment as he was playing his guitar by himself. Well, he was into the music until a set of knocks at his door snapped him out of it. A note lingered in the air as he stared at the door for a moment or so. He could hear a couple of voices outside, but it was a little too muffled for him to properly identify them.

Setting his instrument down carefully, he got up and answered. To his surprise, he found Mot and Kettil waiting out there.

"..Do you need something?"

It was questioning after Endzela where Mot would witness a sudden crack in the fine veneer of smiles and sunshine. A brief moment of sadness clouded over his face, "She's gone and won't come back. I made her mad."

Then suddenly they were at Shun's door and there was the other Reaper that was to be added to the adventure, "We're going fishin'!" He announced to the serious Grim and once again Kettil was full of sunshine and happiness.

Perhaps a little disturbing the way Kettil switched in and out of emotions. It was easier for him to smile and pretend there was no sadness in his heart. Much, much easier.

Mot wasn't sure what to say. How did something like that even happen? For now, he left it as is. They were going to go on a fishing trip. That talk could wait for now. But later. For sure. Later he would confront Kettil, in hopes of helping him.

Mot chuckled and waved lightly to Shun. "Yes, and we'd really like it if you'd join us."

For a moment, Shun just stared at Kettil as he made the announcement of fishing. He thought he was just telling him this so he'd know he would have a fish to cut up later for sushi. Just as he was about to nod and close his door again, Mot had chimed in.

"... I've never fished before," he admitted. It wasn't a acceptance or rejection of the offer. Not yet anyway.

"We will teach you!" Kettil said cheerfully, happily volunteering Mot to help with the experience. It wasn't like there was any reason for them not to teach the third member of their party how to fish.

The boil shrugged a bit, "I just thought it'd be nice to hang out," he added a moment or two afterwards having sobered up considerably. At least for now. "Thought we'd maybe go to the ocean and do some real fancy fishin' or somethin'."

Fancy as in catching something other than regular ol' freshwater fish.

"Kettil is the one who taught me, Shun. It isn't terribly hard. It is, however, a hobby that requires a significant amount of patience." Mot smiled, "Come along!"

The grim's gaze drifted between the two. Well, he didn't really have any plans for today. And something that required patience was something that he could handle. Thinking about it, he shrugged. It couldn't hurt.

Most likely.

"I suppose I'll come along," he stated before he went to grab his shoes and coat. It didn't take long for him to get ready, and thus he was soon out in the hall with the other two.

"Lead the way."

"Yay!" Kettil announced though it seemed he didn't want to sling an arm around Shun's shoulders for some reason. It wasn't because he disrespected Mot's personal space but because Shun had a different sort of friendship with the Muut.

One that didn't require a lot of touching.

When Shun was ready the Muut began to walk forward after he released Mot so he could walk on his own, "Drop by my room to get the equipment and off we go!" He announced cheerfully as he lead the way. The stop by Kettil's room was brief and ended up with Kettil waddling out with a tacklebox and three poles. Why did the boil have more than one pole? Shut up that's why. He didn't have an addiction.

"Let's take the train to the ocean," he said almost looking blissful at this point.

Mot grinned. This really would be a fantastic way to catch up with some of his friends. He'd almost felt like a hermit for a while. Besides, he had so few male friends. Hanging out with females all the time wasn't the most relatable crowd for the reaper, as good company as they were.

After a trip to the train station, and a pit stop since Mot wanted to grab a bag of jerky and fill a cooler with soda (and a thermos of coffee DON'T JUDGE HIM), they boarded the train. It was a pleasant ride, filled with idle conversation and a lot of staring out the window.

The ocean pier was all theirs. A large stone slab stretching out into the orange hue'd waters of Halloween's Ocean. Duck!Bats flapped about in the distance, doing some fishing of their own.

"Mmmm! Smell that Ocean Air!" Mot said as he set down his things, stretching his arms over his head.
