The training grounds are separated by 'levels' of the cliff face; the higher up you go, the higher the level of shinobi you must be. Those aspiring to be Genin or are already Genin train at the bottom, while to reach the Jounin training grounds, one must travel up a steep, and precariously narrow pathway to the top of the cliffs.

"If I could pull your strings,

The morning was bright, the sun was shining and the sand was blinding. But that didn't stop Darello from getting out to train. Nor any other shinobi really. But that didn't matter to the boy with the purple coat and his white gloves. He flicked his sandy hair to the side and placed his hat on his head once more. The Puppeteer was in a rush to get out. But not too much of one for he remembered a couple of puppets and provisions he would need if a spar would sporadically appear in a fine young shinobi like himself.
The tactician noted the mountain and it's levels of authority but also brilliance. He would be on that mountain soon. He may even be the Kage, but that had to wait. Think of the now, not the how. he thought, satisfied with his pointless contradictions and incompatible rhymes.
Strategy Training!: Desert Climb: Darello sat on the cliff face staring at the lower reaches of the cliff face, where the Genin were obstructed to train, he looked at the dips of the sand dunes and the portion of debris that had fell down from powerful techniques cast by the talented ones at the top of the mountain. This could give an advantage to the puppets Darello had bought. On one of the rocks was Dararora, by his side was Saru Suterusu which moved at each thought in Darello's head and then his Kamikaze dolls were in his bag which lay by Dararora on the rock.
There was a small bit of sand to the side of this rock in the middle of a trio of large rocks. There an opponent could trapped by an aerial attack. The Kamikaze Dolls or Valcon Hunter seemed to come to mind. But with all the hidden crooks and crannies the Dolls could be used as Proximity mines, if Darello decided to allow chakra strings to pass through the puppet and into a certain area, a different chakra source could set off the explosion. This would incredible intricacy on his part though.
Saru, would be able to scout the area and recall it's findings but what Darello really needed was a technique which allow the user to see through one's puppet. A thinking point for the young man.
"Didn't the Lord Kage say something about smartness and matureness would get anyone through the Chuunin Exams? Well I'm set for a good one."

"If I could pull your strings,

Darello sat for a while, his hands patting the mountain as he thought about his puppets, his art and his goals. As he thought, the Daraora puppet sparked into life on the top of the rock. It's hand reached up to the ledge he sat on and it's arms retracted as it held the side. Thus the puppet ascended towards the boy. The Kamikaze Puppets positioned themselves underneath the sand. Darello was quick to rip apart the plan as the sand would slightly distinguish the explosive power. So he came up with a new idea. They lifted above the sand and instead were ready to pounce from underneath the rocks.
Surprise attack. Check.
Daraora then positioned himself behind the explosions radius. Here it would would pounce on the ninja who would most probably jump back on the explosion or simply be fired upon.
However Darello had an idea. "What if I put kunai into the Kamikaze's chest. Maybe the kunai will turn on fire and burn his opponents." he mused. He also thought about how he could travel with his puppets. He would need to learn the Summoning Technique. "Who could teach me the summoning Technique. Perhaps... Lord Kazekage."
But first off. He tested his technique. Saru would write down his notes.
Darello went down to the bottom and ran towards the ledge he was just standing on. As the proximity mine was set off, he jumped back only for Daraora to extend it's limbs and crush him a tiny little bit.
"Success."
With that he set off for the Kazekage.

"If I could pull your strings,
then would you follow me?
Darello strode to the Training Grounds after his encounter with the annoying girl in the street. He wondered where she had went but Darello then turned his attention back to why he came here. To learn a technique his predecessors had mastered. A jutsu that would allow him to use the special eyes in Puppet Arsenal. He settled himself onto a rock and his puppet followed suit. Darello started adjusting the puppet's eyes and controlling his chakra strings to latch onto the Puppet's eyes and try to pass an image through it. Although it's a simple enough conception however he would try and learn the technique.
First off, Darello stood and turned his back while the puppet walked forward. He used his Kugutsu no Jutsu and he tried to use the strings to pass through the it's Special Eyes and create an Image. It seemed to use a lot of chakra and Darello realised this was a hard jutsu. So he stopped for a second and turned towards the puppet and walked to it. He tapped one of the seals to summon the "History of Kugutsu" book. He flicked to the Techniques chapter and read on the Technique, "Puppeteer's Vision". An A-Rank technique it seemed.
It described the technique as a doujutsu which allowed the user to see through the puppet's eyes and therefore increased the Puppeteer's field of vision. "I could do with learning this one." he stated. Indeed it could be a useful technique in his arsenal.
So, again Darello did the system of turning around and latching his chakra strings upon the Puppet's eyes. He could see a blurred vision and this helped Darello to realise the amount of chakra he would need to use this technique. He increased the amount of chakra and the screen got slightly closer in terms of the vision. It was less blurry. The technique would soon be working. The boy hoped he could learn this in one outing. It was a tiring affair but he knew he could do it.
With the confidence in himself that he so needed, the boy had a rest. He just seemed to try to cool down for a number of minutes before setting back to work.
Puppet Arsenal stood motionless as Darello was positioned directly behind it. This allowed him to keep a good level of control on his Puppet. He hands were right behind it's head and could easily position itself onto the Eyes. He decided that if he could hit the Eyes at the right angle and frequency he would be able to use the least amount of chakra possible.
He tested different amounts of chakra, different positions around the eye and a range of chakra flows into the eyes. The different levels of chakra called for a slick chakra control from Darello and this wasn't exactly in his level of expertise but nevertheless, when it came to Puppetry anything was possible for the young lad.
But he continuously tried to see what the limitations of this jutsu were. Occasionally it worked but the boy struggled to maintain his chakra flow. He wondered how his ancestors mastered this technique with such ease. He must have been a much better Puppeteer. "This is frustrating," the boy chorused. It was truly frustrating.
Darello was starting to get tired. He didn't have the biggest chakra container however he decided he would have three more goes.
First off, he started to control the chakra that flowed into the eyes. It seemed to create a loop as the strings hit the eyes bounced off into the area therefore giving Darello a quick sight at the surroundings before it dissipated again. Darello had mastered the frequency when it came to the chakra that was being put into the puppet and the amount being bounced up over at the ground for Darello to be able to see it.
Now that was mastered he decided to try his hand at angling the chakra through the puppet's eyes at the frequency he had tried beforehand. At first he positioned the strings through the middle which gave him the field of vision that at head level, but then he positioned it so it arched down. This allowed him a vision of the floor. He soon realised that the angle gave him the difference in vision. However, it was still pretty blurry.
Finally, it was time for the amount of chakra being flung at the puppet. Darello constantly built up the amounts of chakra. Some not working, then they became blurry. However after about 20 seconds of increasing he hit the spot. He could finally see the desert clearly with high definition. Darello classed this as a true achievement.
With that, Darello was an extremely tired boy. He sat back on a rock and dropped to it as he laid there limply. The boy was on the verge of fainting. Puppet Arsenal fell to the floor by the rock and after that, Darello fainted and fell off the rock before falling onto his puppet. He just lay there for an hour or so.

"If I could pull your strings,
then would you follow me?
The boy had been knocked out for some time now, but it he soon woke up. Much to his surprise, no one had found him. A relief in some ways. How embarrassing would it have been if someone had the power to potentially control his life. Scary. But Darello seemed to brush him self off. He felt good if not a bit stiff, but nonetheless fit and able to learn something new. He wanted to try to tone it down a bit. For a second he thought the Clone Technique before shrugging it off. "What's the point? It's not that useful. My clones could just be my puppets, I could just transform them..." he said too back up his views on the Clone Technique. Despite his reasonable and persuasive talking, he was alone. In a huge desert like area which sat at the bottom of the training grounds.
Then his mind raced for a technique. He supposed the "Body Flicker Technique" and this one took his head for a spin. Could be useful, but how hard was it to learn. He decided to reopen his book of puppetry. There was one technique. The "On Behalf of the Master" technique. The concept sounded useful, but he didn't have many jutsu that was incredibly useful to work in conjunction with this technique. That means more learning, but that wasn't his problem. The problem was, he'd just woken up. He may have potentially been watched there, pretty much not being well. And yet, no one helped him. This worried him. Usually there'd be some random goodie two-shoes who thinks, "Oh, there's a bloke on the floor. Better pick them up" But not this time. Maybe there's a problem.
Darello dismissed these thoughts, "Maybe later," he mumbled regarding the thoughts of potential problems. "I'm just overthinking again." he said.
He again thought of the proposed jutsu. On Behalf of the Master. The book described this technique in an interesting way. It seems that it takes extra chakra, but he suggested to himself that he simply hitch it onto his Natural Energy Converter. He tried this, he latched his chakra strings onto the now energetic Puppet Arsenal. He interacted with the converter and tried to perform this jutsu. He wished to use the jutsu in conjunction with Henge no Jutsu - Transformation Technique. This would allow him to see the jutsu working. He tried this for his first go. He didn't use any chakra, apart from the strings, and transformed the puppet into himself. Smoke appeared but the quality of the puppet was questionable. This version of Darello seemed shrivelled, incredibly pale and the clothing was mismatched. The boy didn't know whether it was him or the short time to react with the chakra. He knew he couldn't use the machine too much or else it would over heat so he set up a plan.
He would have another two go's. That's it.
He tried it a second time, the same results.
He tried it a third time. He just had that feeling it would go right except for the fact he had to use his own chakra. It seemed he had just over used the converter. The transformation however, was a success. It worked. It really actually worked. As Darello rejoiced with such a useful technique, he took to work on the converter. He blew upon it to try to cool it down. One thing he loved was that he was able to learn a technique without a sweat.
Down to hell and back."

Kagerou Setsuna ~Suna’s Blast Cannon~ Mood - Happy Setsuna walked into the training ground with his usual calm determination, he head held high and dignified it was clear from his posture that he felt he was better then most people. Once there he walked to what he thought was a deserted he didn't know that their was another person their or he would have never trained his techniques. He took his time however walking to near the edge of the area and utilizing a summoning scroll he brought twelve targets into existence before evenly spacing them himself. He then returned to his original spot over 200 yards away. Wiping a bit of blood from his thumb on his wrist he summoned his bow. Unlike a normal summons however his bow would seem to materialize from the air already in his hand. Gripping down on the handle the needles drew blood instantly, and for Setsuna this was a pain that meant almost nothing to him. From there it was a simple exertion of his own chakra to summon the arrow notched into the bow string. He drew back taking aim he raised the angle and then fired, at this range he didn't even need to use his Doujutsu to see the target. A fraction of a second the later the normal arrow would strike down dead center in the target. This brought a smile to his face, he hadn't really shot in some time so it was nice to just be able to relax aim and fire for once.
Now it was time to really start training, he had a new technique to finish, something that might help him bridge the gap in single combat. This time the arrow he would summon was unique and covered in a complicated summoning seal. Though without the help of a Doujutsu it would be hard to see the black seals written on the dark grey arrow shaft. Drawing back and taking aim he prepared to fire, the timing for his chakra had to be perfect or the arrow wouldn't summon at the right time and his targeting would become messed up. Releasing the arrow he knew he was off by a fraction of a second, instead of summoning the other arrows at the right time it summoned just it was letting go of the string causing the summon to misfire and spray the arrows haphazardly in the air in front of him. Most didn't even make it twenty yards, he sighed this was going to be harder than he thought. Summoning another Volley arrow he took aim again, drawing back, this time he felt that he got the chakra right, this time he knew that as the arrow flew out of his bow it would be perfect. A few seconds into the air the arrow would summon thirty arrows around it, becoming a flying wall of arrows. The aim from there was set by the first arrow as was the speed and trajectory. They moved as one as if the others were mimicking the original, and all of them hit at the same time, though some did miss their targets this was to be expected, this techniques aim was just to set a beating zone for the arrows. But all twelve targets were now dotted with the arrows creating what in truth was one hell of a death toll if this had been reality.
He still couldn't wait though for he had more training to do before the day was done, more technique's he needed to master. ((•Seishaya – Arrow Volley – C Rank – Custom - Trained 779/400 Kinda over shot the word count a little)) Edit (The word count is now wrong but its still well over 400, I got bored of waiting, dont worry Zak as soon as you come on just interrupt me, I'm only gonna train one maybe two more technique while I wait.) “Never underestimate me.”

Kagerou Setsuna ~Suna’s Blast Cannon~ Mood - Happy The next technique Setsuna was planning to train was a far more difficult one to learn he was going to teach himself the famous Kage Bunshin no Jutsu or Shadow Clone Technique. He had already read up on the technique and had a basic understanding of it, however his plans for it went far beyond what the technique was normally used for, so he had high hopes for it. Standing in the center of his own small piece of the training grounds he focused his mind moving inwards as he released his bow summoning. He felt his chakra and began to focus it; then like lightning he performed the seals holding the last one. "Kage Bunshin no Jutsu..." He whispered and next to him on his right side a cloud of smoke engulfed him. As it cleared he looked to his clone, and with a disappointing sigh he released it. The clone had been deformed the face was wrong even the height and body size were wrong. So in other words it was just completely useless. He thought for a minute on what he was doing wrong, the chakra transfer had to have been off. It was that simple he was holding too much back. Taking a deep breath his posture still perfect and his stance ready, he performed the seals once more holding the last one he didn't speak this time instead focusing his whole mind on the technique, on the proper Chakra ratio to make the shadow clone. Before he even completed the technique he knew he was off again, this time though when the shadow clone appeared it was too large, both in height and weight. With another disappointed sigh he dispelled the clone, then something hit him, he knew something knew from the clone. He knew the chakra ratio that had made it. Setsuna smiled a little, it was quite the useful technique after all that information was highly valuable and would completely change the rest of his training.
Still smiling Setsuna focused again, this time he knew he would be right, this time he knew it would be perfect. In a cloud of smoke the clone appeared and as the wind blew the smoke passed them, both perfect Setsuna’s smiled. Setsuna thinking ahead had already had a plan in place for this point. And without any hesitation sent a hard round house kick flying at his clone, the clone easily blocked it before jumping back and summoning Kagedan, the real Setsuna also jumped back summoning the bow as well, it seemed that not only did Kage Bunshin work on the clone but on the weapon too essentially doubling his overall power this was great news for Setsuna. They fired at each other each with perfect accuracy for some time each testing the others limits, even though they were exactly the same. Finally the real Setsuna landed a solid hit, and then another. The clone vanished in a puff of smoke and Setsuna smiled, he got a massive amount of information from the clone this time, it staggered him a little but he could see the flaws in his own form through the clone’s memories of fighting him. This was simply too good to be true with this he could become infinitely stronger very quickly. However he also realized that he was incredibly tired, so un-summoning his bow and all of his training equipment he decided it was time for a nap. Moving over to a large set of rocks he laid down resting in its shadow as his eyes drifted closed he had to wonder if this was what could bring him true strength.

Kagerou Setsuna ~Suna’s Blast Cannon~ Mood - Happy Waking up from his nap Setsuna decided it was time to get back to training, he had spent months working out his new technique combinations and it was time he started to learn how to use them. The first technique he was fairly certain he could already do, though in practice it would probably be far more difficult than he assumed. Moving back to the open area he once again summoned his bow with the simple application of blood to his left wrist, as it materialized he considered what his options were for training his techniques he decided on Kage Bunshin no Jutsu as it was really the only applicable Ninjutsu he knew. He had also decided that this would be the perfect time to kill two birds with one stone, mastering not one but two technique simultaneously. With his right hand he slowly and very carefully preformed a set of hand seals. At the same time he focused his chakra, and created the arrow already on the bow held by the fingers of his left hand. He already knew something was off, something was wrong; the wispy arrow of shadowy chakra didn’t have enough substance. Still it was a good test, raising the bow and drawing the arrow back he aimed at the ground a hundred feet or so in front of himself. Firing the arrow flew out, it however did not go where he intended the chakra in the arrow broke up before even making contact, becoming a complete waste of Setsuna’s time and energy. He sighed, this was going to be far more difficult then he imagined. He worked through the one handed seals again, this time focusing much harder and ensuring that each of the seals was perfect, as he was finishing he had an inspiration. Why create the arrow on the bow, it would certainly be far easier to create it with the hand that had made the seals, where chakra was already focusing anyway. For now anyway it seemed the better way than trying to create it on the bow. Holding the last hand seal his hand was caught up in a dark wispy chakra extending for twelve inches or so, about halfway to reaching the ground. Placing the hand to the bow string he molded the chakra into the form of a real arrow, it’s shape was far more perfect this time, down to the arrow head and the fletching it looked quite real save for the wisps of chakra radiating down the shaft. Drawing back the bow string he took aim, the spot was the same a piece of ground a fair distance in front of him. Releasing the bow string the arrow flew much better this time, and this time it contacted the ground, however it was still a failure, the shadow clone formed, and had a bow, but the shape was wrong, the face was wrong and the bow was wrong. He didn’t know which technique he was screwing up at this point so he decided that he would have to get the one handed seals right first before continuing with the Ninjutsu Firing technique. Keeping his bow out but resting at his side, he raised his right hand. Centering it in front of his chest before he began; the seals he performed were rapid, and honestly would have been quite hard to follow for most people. Holding the last seal he manipulated his chakra and the shadow clone would pop into existence behind him and too his right. Turning to look at it he realized three things were wrong pretty quickly, the first was that he had intended for the shadow clone to be in front of him, the second was that the bow was completely messed up, and the third was that the face was misshapen. Sighing once again he released the clone, so he thought it through in his head, ‘if the clone’s misshapen that means that my chakra control is off, I have to have the seals right or I wouldn’t be getting anything out of it at all.’ Focusing again he wondered why it was so much harder to control chakra with just half the seals. Focusing again he rapidly formed the seals with his right hand focusing acutely on the chakra he was gathering. This time the cloud of smoke appeared in front of him, just as it was supposed to, this time the clone he saw in the clearing smoke had the proper bow, this time its face was perfect, everything was just as it was supposed to be.
He released the clone; after all it was time for a break, releasing the summoning on his bow it vanished; dissipating into thin air. Setsuna moved back over to his spot in the shade, he was sweating a lot, and was honestly overheating, even though the fibers of his complicated robes were designed to let the body stay cool it was still a sunny day in the desert. He pulled a canteen out from his small day pack and drank thirstily. Then he pulled out a small box lunch, and started eating. Like everything he made the lunch was impeccable, and as always Setsuna’s posture was perfect. He enjoyed his meal as the afternoon speed by. He knew he could finish his technique now quite easily; it wouldn’t even be all that difficult to do. As he finished his meal he cleaned up the trash and then finished his first canteen of water. Getting back up Setsuna patted the sand off of himself before moving back out under the hot sun. He drew his bow with the simple application of blood to his left wrist and a small amount of chakra the bow faded into existence. This time he knew that he could do it, it was just a matter of getting the transfer of chakra to arrow perfect and still keeping it all densely packed without losing cohesion in flight. Once again forming the seals with his right hand he created the arrow off of his pointer and middle fingers before gripping the bow string. The arrow formed into existence from the chakra the arrow itself maintained its shape far better this time, and though internally one could see the chakra moving in the ethereal arrow its black form made it quite difficult to distinguish. Raising the bow and drawing back he let the arrow fire this time picking a spot much further in the distance. When the arrow crashed into the ground Setsuna was already smiling he had gotten it right, he knew he had, and as the smoke cleared his clone charged back to him closing the distance quickly. Once it was in close range for visual inspection Setsuna was satisfied, every detail about the clone was absolutely perfect, down to the number of hairs on its head. Setsuna was quite proud of this, knowing that to take one technique and turn it into something completely different was incredible difficult. As he released the bow back to where it had come from, and allowed the clone to vanish he wandered back into his shadowy spot. Resting his back against a smooth space in the rocks he relaxed enjoying the cool shade and letting his eyes drift off once again.

Samantha Moi~Desert delusion ~ Samantha entered the training grounds, with her blood red hair flowing in the wind that gusted past her as she stood at the entrance. Under the brim of her brown cow-boy hat a smile appeared on her face when she could enjoy the day and even train a bit. Just before sam took her step onward to get to training a gust of wind brushed passed her picking her hat off the top of her head and sending it tumbling across the ground across the training grounds. " crap " she commented as her red hair danced in the wind now free from the hat holding it down. Samantha tucked the right side of her hair behind her ear and darted after her hat.

Kagerou Setsuna ~Suna’s Blast Cannon~ Mood - Happy, and a little tired from training. Setsuna was roused from his quiet rest by the sight of something so simple even he was surprised. A hat blowing in the wind, the hat in question was close to him when it came to halt so he decided to pick it up and kindly return it to it's owner. Standing he brushed the light coating of sand that had clung to his robes, he then easily retrieving the hat and moved to the girl who was quite clearly chasing it. He swept into what would seem an overly formal bow but to him was just barley enough, as he raised himself back up into his typical tall and formal posture he extended the hat while speaking. "I believe this is yours ma'am." It was said as a statement of fact and though his speech was formal anyone would be able to tell from the friendly smile, the kind eyes, and the soft tone that he was being completely relaxed and friendly. Most people claimed that Setsuna was odd however for him being polite and friendly meant everything, so in his mind this format was just barely enough for him to conduct himself when initially meeting someone.

Samantha Moi~Desert delusion ~ As she was chancing her hat a unknown guy swiftly picked it up before she could. She slowed her run to a walk and then stopped as the guy approached her, The guys action to bow formally to her caught her off guard. Samantha looked at the guy in a little shock on her face and green eyes. The Unknown guy stood up and took his normal posture and she now realized he was tall. The unknown guy reached out to offer the return of her hat and said to her. ' I believe this is yours ma`am' Her face grew a little red as the man called her 'ma`am' the politeness was obviously getting to her, She grabbed her hat abruptly and plopped it u top her head so the brim would create a shrouded shadow that could cover most of her upper face and then said back to the guy. " Thank you" Samantha talked with a smooth voice but with a little accent that mimic her country like appearance, she was not use to getting help from strangers , even if its just to catch her hat. Samantha after a bit of silence she said to the guy. " My names Samantha , you are ?" she wanted to know the name of this guy who snagged up her hat for her when it would of been a while for her to get it. She had never seen the guy back at the academy when she was there, and never seen him around the village till now so a a name to the face would make things a little easier in communication.

He wondered what the girl's reaction would be upon seeing him but he feared it wouldn't be great. "Hello there," he greeted, in a slightly glum tone. He looked at the boy before turning his head to the girl. Behind him, Puppet Arsenal imitated him.
"What's up?" he concluded.

Kagerou Setsuna ~Suna’s Blast Cannon~ Mood - Happy, and a little tired from training. He always enjoyed the looks of embarrassment when people blushed at his formal behavior. It was quite interesting to see how people chose to react to someone so different. He noted the puppet boy coming over and turned to see him before he spoke, listening for a moment he then spoke his polite tone extended to both of them. "I am Kagerou Setsuna, it is a pleasure to meat you both." He swept once more into a small bow before standing tall again he could tell from Samantha's appearance that she was about the same age as he was, however boy was at least a few years younger even though he was fairly tall his face was still very boyish, and by the boys casual tone it was quite clear that he knew the girl.
((Tis all good dude I always forget to check that damn thing.))
“Never underestimate me.”

Samantha Moi~Desert delusion ~ Samantha eyed the guy but saw Darello walking over. She glared at him saying nothing to him, but she returned her gaze to the unnamed guy as he introduced himself as 'Kagerou Setsuna' and yet again bowed to Darello and herself. " Setsuna, cool name." Samantha commented with a smile on her face. She got to thinking about how different Kagerou was from others she had met so far, so formal and polite and good looking. . Darello on the other had just makes he want to hit something but due to there last meet and greet 'to say'.
