So what kind of stats are there for characters? A LOT.
Parameters are the attributes. They are what you've seen in the Character Description thread.
Health and Mana are obvious. Attack is the main stat for physical attacks, Defense reduces physical attack damage. Magic Attack is magic damage and so on. But what else do they do? They effect the player's Properties.
Properties are the behind the scenes specific formulaic percentages of how well the character can preform in battle.
Hit. How often the character will be able to strike the target with physical attacks. Uses Attack and Agility attributes.
Evasion. Chance to avoid getting hit by physical attacks. Uses Agility and Luck attributes.
Critical. Chance to do a critical attack. Based on Luck.
Critical Evasion. Chance to evade critical hits. Uses Luck and Agility attributes.
Magic Evasion. Avoid chance of magic abilities. Uses Magic Defense and Agility.
Target Rate. Determines how much more likely the character is to be targeting by enemies. Default is 100%.
HP, MP and TP Regen. Auto restoring properties for each stat.
Recovery: How much the player is better at healing or getting healed, not sure..
Guard Rate: Bonus to the Guard action which I'll talk about in another Tip.
Item Boost: Bonus to effects from used items like potions.
EXP Rate: Affects the amount of Experience earned.
TP Charge: Affects how much TP is gained in battle.
MP Cost Rate and TP Cost Rate: I don't bother with these, they change how much it really costs to use Techniques and Magic or somethin'.
Physical/Magic Damage Reduction: Rate at which the character resists damage of that type. Uses that players Defenses and probably armor.
Floor Damage: Affects how much damage the character takes from walking over hazardous/damaging terrain. I have yet to see if I will bother with this too.
