It had taken him, the better part of a day in a half. Since he found Jacinthu's bow, that man who was sick in the forest to being given a task that sounded almost impossible to do. Exhausted he was chewing on a leaf that was proven to given temporary alertness even if it was bitter. Satchel over his shoulder was stuffed with glowing fungi and cradled in his arms was a more fragile one that spewed forth spores when squished. Covered in dirt, scratches and just overwhelmed with his thoughts on his next task he knew he had to go some supplies...for the next part of his quest would result in going to the islands that the Alkidike live on. Somehow not get speared through and then ask for the roots of their mother tree...it was this last part that had him balk for he couldn't exactly see them being so ...gracious and hearing him out on the reason why he needed to pillage their mother tree's roots.
Sighing he had found himself making his way home...no not to his old home but to his new one. The one where he was sure was a unhappy woman there waiting for him. Perhaps not...waiting per-say but obligated to. His spirits sank, he had left the bow with the leaf man back at his old home...as he knew he couldn't risk losing it again...nor leaving any mushrooms behind. As he staggered into their home he blinked somehow not surprised that the girl wasn't there. He supposed it was for the best, he didn't have the energy to argue with her..or face off with her biting remarks.
Moving over he sat himself on the ground and gently placed the mushrooms down so that little of the spores contained within wouldn't be lost. Slipping the satchel off he then went about removing the purple glowing fungi from it. About done with the leaf in his mouth he swallowed it hoping to get whatever was left from the herb to help him stay awake. Takoda had planned on sleeping after gathering his supplies, and he was dissapointed ...and felt his spirits sink when he realized Jacinthus wasn't or hadn't been home yet. He felt...so very lonely and worried about the man, his lover...though they had barely any time to actually express their feelings between each other.
Standing slowly he felt the world sway a bit, steadying himself he went to the wash bin hoping to get rid of the scorth marks, and tend to his few cuts and bruises.

Painted with various colors of medications, all to treat different sorts of wounds given he'd gone against mages of various types of magic, the Leaf Tribesman who had been granted the rank of 'Hunter' was more then eager to get home. He was tired, wanted nothing more then crawl into bed with Takoda, and stay there for a while. Maybe he would stay awake long enough to talk him into a nice healing session? That would be rather nice he thought to himself, ears twitching at the mere thought of easing the what pain the salves didn't take care of. While they weren't perfect he was more then grateful for them and for the man that had given to him. He didn't think that he could thank Enlil enough, both for the salves and for the company after that horrible ordeal with the mages and the clones of his loved ones.
"Ugh... just want to sleep." Then he had to figure out where he could find himself a new bow, the last one had been destroyed in the battle and his arrows broken and lost, leaving him a little defenseless, which he didn't care for. He'd get a new bow soon enough, wanting to continue to take care of his family and tribe, something he couldn't do when he had no weapon. Later though, he would worry about that later, once he was back on his feet, healed up, rested up, and had some time to curl up with his real family members as opposed to fake ones made my mages that were trying to toy with his mind. They had paid for that crime though, hadn't they? They wouldn't go trying that again, something Enlil had made sure of with that strange magic of his or so Jacin believed. He knew little to nothing about magic, never having understood it himself, but figured that the man must know what he was doing, right? Jacin sure hoped so. He'd rather believe that they were safe from more strange magics then to worry that it was just some sort of strange mumbo jumbo that Enlil had come up with.
As he got closer to his village he couldn't help but to sigh in relief, that was until he got closer to home, taking in the fact that their home seemed a little dark. Surely they couldn't have gone to bed already but the fire pit seemed dark, he heard nothing going on in the house, and he couldn't help but to worry a bit. That was until he saw someone bending over the wash bin, something that drew his attention, and he moved toward said person until he realized who it was, "Takoda." He murmured, never more relived then this moment to see the Healer. He was safe then, just like Enlil said he'd be he thought to himself as he hurried forward, ignoring the wounds he had at the moment so that he could close the space between them, "Takoda!" He called out to him, half tempted to pounce on him at the moment and might have done just that were it not for the fact that his various wounds were protesting just the fact that he was running at the moment.

Takoda had summoned the water from the basin to his face he sighed and went about slowly healing the many numerous cuts and burns on his body. Flinching as the cold water would touch one spot and cause him to writhe at the feeling, though he had hardly gotten far in his endeavors when he caught...the sound of his name being called. Blinking he looked over his shoulder trying to see who it was that had called out and then spotted him...it was Jacinthus..alive although looking a bit worse for wear.
The water dropped in a tremendous splash back into the basin, spilling mostly all over the place including on Takoda himself but he was already turning, the relief in his chest overwhelming as the leaf member was rapidly closing the distance between the two of them. "Jacinthus.." Though he didn't shout the man's name he felt his body tremble and tears form at the corner of his eyes, moving he soon closed the distance between them throwing his arms around the man he had been so worried about in the last forty eight hours.
"Jacinthus...Jacinthus ..Jacinthus..." Takoda mumbled his lovers name over and over again burrowing his head into his broad chest unwilling to let go of him as if afraid he had fallen asleep at some point and this was only a cruel dream.

Jacinthus was a little surprised by the way that Takoda came rushing over to him but he couldn't be happier at the moment as he wrapped his arms around him, hugging him close, "Takoda... I missed you." He murmured, lowering his head to bury his face against Takoda's hair, breathing in his scent, and otherwise just soaking up the other man's warmth. It hadn't been all that long since he'd last seen him, less then a week between the hunt for the giant Witu and the battle with the mages, followed by a minimal recovery time with Enlil, before he hurried for home as fast as his body would carry him. Despite the short amount of time it had felt like forever, he'd been so worried for Takoda and Keilana, having thought that the two of them had gotten kidnapped, but now that he was back he didn't want to let them go... though after a moment he realized that Keilana wasn't there to grumble over the two of them cuddling.
He was about to ask about it when Takoda cuddled closer to him, murmuring his name over and over, making him hug him closer. He gave a smiled down at his love before he seemed to realized that Takoda was looking up a bit scuffed up at the moment, having some wounds on his skin that looked rather similar to the one that he had himself. His smile faltered a little at that, "Takoda, are you alright?" He found himself asking, scooping the Healer up and carried him over to the fire pit and eased him down to sit next to it, "You look roughed up, who did this?" He demanded, already plotting the demise of whoever had been mean to the Healer while he was away. Even if it was someone from his village he'd still still beat the life out of them for it he thought to himself crossly.
"You rest, I will see about getting us a fire going." He said, wanting to get the fire going so that he could light the place up and get a feeling for what had happened to Takoda and if he were alright. For the moment the wounds he had himself were completely forgotten, the pain seeming to fade in light of seeing someone more important then him hurt.

Takoda had almost forgotten about his own trials and tribulations and those thoughts floated right out of his head when he was scooped up by the leaf tribe male and carried over to where the skeleton of the fire had been. When sad down he felt himself hunger to Jacinthus to hold him again, just...like he had been snuggled up against him only moments before. When the questions were asked of him he felt his face drain a bit as the memories of his own trails went over in his head.
"Ah..a mage..in the forest..." He explained pointing to the scorch marks, as to the bruises when he pointed to those he gave a small shudder. "Menzuri.." though he was less worried about himself than he was for Jacinthus...who looked ..downright awful, covered in salves ...and looking just exhausted. Takoda reached for Jacinthus who had gone right ahead trying to make a fire and take care of him, when all he wanted to do was embrace him and heal him. Funny how they both wanted to take care of each other but in different ways.
Standing Takoda went to stop Jacinthus from what he was doing, his hand on the other males hands as he then went to lean his head in and kiss him. He had to really show Jacinthus how much he missed him and that kiss was no joke it as full of a hidden passion the shifter wasn't even aware he had. After breaking the kiss for air of all things he leaned his head against him. "I am fine now that I know your safe...make the fire...and I'll grab some water to heal you."

Jacinthus's eyes went rather wide at that, "Menzuri?" He murmured, that sighed a bit, lifting a hand to scratch at one of his wounds which was smeared with one of the colorful salves, "Those... things... they really do need to be dealt with in a more permanent manner. They are far too dangerous and I know that those things are out there plotting something, I stumbled across them doing... I don't know, something magical." He said, hating the fact that he hadn't taken care of them all and one of them had gone after Takoda due to his failure to chase the damn things off. They really were a horrible, creepy tribe, one he was sure were all into something freaky that he knew wasn't going to be good for any of the tribes. He really did need to see about hunting them down when he was back on his feet and once more equipped with a weapon.
Before he could start to plot anything more when it came to the downfall of those creepy, buggy tribesmen Takoda was suddenly moving over toward him, pulling him away from starting a fire and into a kiss. A sound of surprise escaped from him and his eyes went wide before he was reaching out to wrap his arms around him, pulling him in close so that he return the kiss, pouring into it all the feelings he had for the wonderful Shifter, smiling a little as Takoda broke the kiss and mentioned how he was fine now that he knew Jacin was safe, and seemed to be letting him go back to building the fire. Jacin couldn't help but to give a bit of a chuckle, leaning over to give him another little kiss, "Alright, I will get the fire going but you really should see about healing yourself first since you are looking as if you need it." He murmured, brushing the tips of his fingers against Takoda's cheek in a gentle manner. He didn't want to see him hurting and didn't mind waiting on his own healing if it meant Takoda making himself feel better.
"I will see about getting the fire going if you want to see to your wounds." He told him, finding himself wondering where exactly the Menzuri had come from and how they should be dealing with them. That was a problem for another day though, he wanted to enjoy his time at home after all... though he'd be enjoying it more if he knew where Keilana had wandered off to. Likely she was angry with him for leaving her alone so long with Takoda and was off somewhere cooling her head. If she wasn't back by the morning though he would have to go out looking for her and see about dragging her back home where she belonged.

Takoda enjoyed the second kiss, though the first had left him a smidge breathless and he wished to experience more of that. But there were more important things for him to worry about like healing his lover. Though Jacinthus had told him to heal his wounds first he knew that would not be the case. Takoda was stubborn when it came to healing, heal others first for they were priority. Going back he grabbed the small basin that had...some water in it left and picking it up went to carry it back outside to where Jacinthus had returned to building a fire.
Coming back he set the bowl down lightly as he went to sit down, healing the basic of his own wounds first to ..perhaps waste a bit of time before Jacinthus came back. "I am so relieved your home. I found your bow in the forest..and I didn't know what to think." He commented idly trying to make conversation when all her really wanted to do was embrace him again and never let go. "ah...I forgot it back at my old place though...I had to gather fungi's...I met a leaf tribe member in the forest...and he said there was a terrible sickness going to spread...I was charged with getting the ingredients for the task." Okay so this was more than idle chit chat but he felt like he had to explain why the bow wasn't with him...and he couldn't just sum it up in one sentence.

Jacinthus turned to look over at Takoda after he returned with the bowl of water, lifting an eyebrow, "You found my bow?" He asked, wondering what in all of Tale he was doing up where he'd lost his bow at. The item was ruined, smashed in half by one of those horrible, bug like mages, so why would Takoda bother to get it for him? At the same time he couldn't help but to be touched, that he would actually try to bring it back for him. Giving a smile he said, "It's alright that you forgot it at your place, it's the thought that counts. Besides, now that the bow has been shatter it can't be repaired. Still, as my first weapon I would like to have it back among the treasures I've collected thus far." The bow served him well after all, a shame that it met its end in such a manner as it had.
As Takoda started to explain to him what had caused him to forget the bow back at his old place he couldn't help but to look a bit worried, "A terrible sickness? Have you informed the elders yet? Either of your tribe or of this one?" He asked, wondering if they knew about it or if he and his mate should go to them and tell them about the sickness. If it was going to spread all should be made aware of it, right? That was what he felt at least when it came to the issue, "Eh? You were charged with finding the ingredients?" He asked, then gave a nod, "I will see about getting a new weapon, then I can go with you when you fetch the ingredients." He didn't want him to get lost, hurt, waylaid by bugs, or bothered by anyone out there while he was on his mission after all. Now that he was back he had been wanting nothing more then to sleep away a few days in his hammock with Takoda but since Takoda was charged with gathering ingredients he wouldn't be there. He should go with him then, right?
At the same time there was also the problem of his missing sister though... could he really go picking plants with Takoda when he should be going out to find Little Kei if she didn't come back soon? She was probably off pouting somewhere, waiting for him to come find her and it was his duty as an older brother to do so. He gave a thoughtful sound in his throat, "You probably can't hold off until I find Keilana, huh? Too dangerous to do so... but I don't want you going alone." He murmured to Takoda, not liking the options laid out before him. He wanted to protect the whole of his family but it was a little difficult when they went running off in different directions, wasn't it?

Takoda shifted looking uncomfortable, after all his knowledge of the sickness was...very vague and as predicted Jacinthus had volunteered to help him find the rest of the ingredients. His face flushed, for he knew he could not put Jacinthus in danger...not when he had already faced a large amount of it himself recently. At the question of mentioning it to the elders he was slow to shake his head, he didn't want to seem like he was favoring either tribe and his loyalties were rather...strained at the moment. if he warned the leaf tribe he wouldn't have time to warn the shifters back in Jahaur. Either way he was going to waste time.
"I..don't have time to go to both villages to warn the elders...I am probably wasting time getting fresh supplies. But..the third ingredient I need is...much farther away than the other two...and I wanted to be prepared." Takoda was leaving out that he had to get to Chibale island...where very few outsiders had ever dared try and set foot.
"The sickness...I..am not sure..the man I came across seemed very knowledgeable..but magic won't heal him...I was able to lessen his fever a bit before I left him but..I.." He felt his throat choke on him, the idea the man may be suffering...or even on the verge of dying made his chest ache.
Blinking as he realized..it had been some time since he had seen the grumpy girl he looked to Jacinthus and gave a small smile, this may be what he could use to make sure Jacinthus didn't follow him. "Ah...perhaps it would be better if you go search for her. After all...she is your only sister, I think it would mean a lot to her if you did."

Jacinthus gave a slow nod of his head as Takoda said that he didn't have time to go to both village elders. He opened his mouth, about to say that he should just talk to the ones here, but closed it again. He supposed that it might seem a little pushy of him if he were to tell Takoda to talk to Enki or Enlil instead of talking to his own people, wouldn't it? Sure, the Healer was living among the Leaf Tribe now but he was sure that didn't mean he was going to be abandoning his own people anytime soon. To do so was something that Jacin would never ask given how fiercely loyal the hunter was to his tribe, "Perhaps I can speak with one of them. I know it may just appear as rumor if I am the one to do it but at least they would be made aware of a possible situation." If he spoke with the Leaf Tribe elders that left Takoda free to do so with those from the Shifter Tribe.
"It's a good thing that you were able to stop back here to get supplies, it meant that we were able to talk again." He said, wanting nothing more then to drag Takoda into his arms and not let him go again. He didn't like the idea of him trekking around the dangerous world all on his own chasing after ingredients to heal some strange illness. It just sounded in all ways dangerous, didn't it? At the same time he couldn't really follow along after him, not when Keilana might very well have run away from home, not to mention that given who and what he was to the Leaf Tribe he couldn't drop everything to chase after his foreign love, he doubted it would go over very well at all. It was all a bit complicated, wasn't it? They had to be careful not to offend one tribe or the other while maintaining their own relationship, despite possible hardships though he wasn't going to give up so easily.
Takoda told him that it was better if he went to search for Keilana, that she was his only sister, and that it would mean a lot to her. He was likely right, she might very well be out there now waiting on him to come get her, to prove that Takoda wasn't the only one that mattered to him, "I will fetch her come first light. If you find that you need me while on your trip try to send word, alright?" While it would be a difficult thing to do since messages could take days to get anywhere it was the best that he felt they could do at the moment.

The male shifter offered Jacinthus a small smile, it would be best if he went to go look for his sister...if Keilana didn't come back this evening it could be dangerous the girl was rather hard headed when it came to her brother and himself it seemed. Though he didn't quite understand why she was so against their relationship he could take a guess at it. After all it meant that she was no longer Jacinthus's sole worry.
Still..
Trying to keep his hands busy he summoned some of the water and continued to heal the wounds that were splashed about his lovers body.
"I hope to be back quickly though I can't guarantee it. " He started and he was about to ask Jacinthus to check on the man who was at his forest home, but to what end? If the man was contagious (magic or not) then he was risking Jacinthus's life by getting him to go there. He had his hunches about the illness but he really didn't want to see if any of his guess's were right.
"I should gather more food and water, I hate to make you worry though."

Jacinthus let his eyes sink closed as the water worked against his wounds, soothing the pain in a manner that the salves that Enlil had only been able to do temporarily, "Ahhh... that's nice." He murmured, his long ears giving a little twitch of delight at the sensation the flowing water invoked in him. It really was a nice feeling, to feel the pain flowing out of him, and that in turn seemed to ease his tight muscles. He would likely be able to rest in a manner that he had been unable to do as well when he was in Enlil's camp. It wasn't because of Enlil himself but more because Jacin had been in pain, on edge, and just wanted to get back home to his family. Of course the moment he got back he learned that Kei was missing and Takoda was being called away himself. Not something he cared for even in the least bit.
"I understand that it might take you some time but if you take too long I will come looking for you." He told him, while he didn't want to go that far from his village, wanting to do his part to serve his tribe now that he had the power to do so. They would surely understand though, his need to seek out his mate if Takoda was to go missing for an extended period of time. He was a part of the village now, a part of the tribe, and a part of Jacin's family and as such it was his duty to look after him and make sure that he was safe in the same manner he did his sister. Something that would be easier to do if Keilana hadn't gone missing.
Opening his eyes to look around the area he found himself wondering where she'd gotten herself off to. Maybe she was sulking at her friend's house? That strange girl, Ami... something. He'd met her in passing a couple times, right? Keilana had always seemed to like her making him wonder if she'd run off there. He might check there first before expanding his search.

Takoda didn't respond right away, after all he was a bit distracted with his healing the archer, still he found himself give pause even at the slightest moment until he went back to healing. The pause may be noticed but perhaps it was just his worry...the worry he wouldn't be back. After all traveling to Chibai Islands...was almost a foolish idea. Moronic even.
"I ...will come back don't worry." Takoda tried to convince himself more than Jacinthus, but it was even more of a reason NOT to tell Jacinthus where he was headed. After all he didn't need Jacinthus to die a pointless death.
His fingers moved about the body of his lover started to be more of his fingers against skin than it was about healing. Takoda couldn't help himself after all he had been always with Keilana around and despite all the hardships that they would encounter had encountered he wanted to make the most of their time he felt selfish for it...he should be getting ready to leave as soon as possible shouldn't he?

Jacinthus was quiet for a moment as Takoda went about with the healing session, something that was feeling rather good this point, and nearly had him feeling like his old self again. After a time he turned to look over his shoulder at Takoda before he finally turned, wrapped his arm around him, and dragged the smaller male into his arms. Hugging him tightly he said, "I know that you will be coming back, I trust you." He nuzzled against Takoda's pretty, if messy hair and then gave a smile, "As I said, if you don't come back on your own I will find you, simple as that. You are my family now and I will keep you safe." While he was unable to do so straight away, he needed to find Keilana after all, he'd be sure to do so if Takoda took too long to get home.
Drawing back a little he gave him a smile, "Do you need to rest up before your trip? I can see about making us something to eat while you nap." Even though he really didn't want to let him go at the moment, especially knowing that he would be leaving soon he really should allow him a moment to rest. If he'd been under as much stress as Jacinthus himself had of late he knew that sleep was in order. Still even as he spoke of making food and of naps his grasp on Takoda seemed to only tighten, as though he was loathe to let him go.
"Mmm... while I was gone, while I was fighting, all I could think about was crawling into bed with you and sleeping in your arms for a week... and now you have to go. Seems as though the spirit of Tale is testing me something fierce at the moment." He muttered against Takoda's hair. A test that he meant to overcome, even if it might take a little while longer before he was able to have his week of lazing about in his love's arms. Soon he told himself, soon.

To suddenly be enveloped in a comforting hug almost made the shifter break down and cry. It was so hard, so hard to imagine that this may be the last few moments he had with the archer. It hurt him to think that he would never see his kind and worrying face again but even then when Jacinthus informed him that he would come looking for him, he had to bite his tongue. Telling him not to would only worry him more and perhaps alert or hint to where he would be headed. Being considered family only seemed to make him more sad, though he would have to shake the feeling off. After all he WAS going to come back, he just had to be positive about it all. Feeling his lover with his arms around him he knew he should sleep, he had hardly gotten any and he would need all the rest he could get before he continued on his journey. But...being snuggled up against him made him very reluctant to be released. "I will need to sleep...eventually right now I ..just want you to hold me, I missed you so much while you were away and I was so worried when I found your broken bow...I had never wanted to be with someone as badly, to make sure they were okay ...I was so worried. I will eat and sleep yes..but for now...just...hold me."
