Background Information
A lot of Elizabeth's life was a tragedy, but it was not always that way. Before, she had a lovely single mother. Her mother had beautiful blonde hair and her looks were to die for. She had always told Elizabeth that she was the spitting image of her and would grow up to look even prettier than even she was. When Elizabeth was 7, her father came back into her mother's life. That's when he life took a turn for the worst. Her father was verbally and physically abusive to her mother. He often shouted and cursed at her for just forgetting to do the laundry. Finally, one day when she was 14 years old, he came home immensely drunk. Elizabeth was in her bed when he heard noises of things dropping and people screaming. She went to her mother's room to check on the noise. When she opened the door, she found his mother to the floor with his father foot to her throat and a broken glass bottle in his hand. Her mother was not breathing. Before she could be noticed, she called the police. The police got there in time to arrest her father. She then went to live with her Uncle. Her Uncle was better than her father ever could be, but that didn't mean he was that good. The only reason she was okay living with him was because he didn't really talk to her. A year later, though, he introduced her to his business. He was a pimp and he forced her to be one of his prostitutes. The pay was pretty good but she always hated selling her body to other men. Her only escape from the madness was drugs and singing. She was always told as a child that she not only had her mother's looks, but also her mother's beautifully haunting voice. Now, she has transferred to McKinley from her old school so that she could at least get away from the memories her previous school held.
