I honestly hope no one goes out and buys this book. Some of the ideas I felt were hazardous to cats, and some of the ideas were so simple (theres a whole section dedicated to setting a box out for your cat, and giving it a funny name), that Im pretty sure you already would have tried those. I picked the ones that Im actually going to try and will update with them as I do them.
The book is rather simple to follow. She catagorizes the toys by type of play as follows:
1. Catch 2. Chase 3. Stalk 4. Wrestle 5. Lazy Cat
With each toy I make and review, I will give you Freyjas rating and a picture to accompany the toy. Freyja and Loki's rating will be as follows:
1 Paw~ HAEL NO 5 Paw~ Real Winner (numbers inbetween will be of varying degress of OMG to WTF are you doing human)
Want to try it out? Have a go at it and let me know how your kitties enjoyed it! smile
* I have personally decided not to do any toys that contained tinfoil, small parts, metal, etc, that could possibly hurt my or your cats. If you are interested in knowing these toys, drop me a PM and I will send you the instructions. My cat personally eats tinfoil and loves to eat things she shouldnt but your cat may be different. Always practice saftey first when making anything for your kitty*

Peek A Boo House
Catagory: Stalk/Lazy Cat/Hide
1 Card Board Box Scissors
Add ons: Strings, bobs, etc
Directions:
Take a cardboard box, cut an entrance and an exit and several paw sized variant holes around the box. Optional: Tie danglies from the top to entice kitty. Also attach bobs/toys to string.
Note: This box I got from work. Its a corrugated plastic asparagus box and already had all the holes in it. XD
I found this section in the back of the book very neat and interesting. It talks about making our lives greener with our cats.

I am currently in the midst of growing cat grass and n** for Pearl.
I figured why buy a $5 canister of n** when I can grow it myself get more out of for about $2.
The cat grass was a kit I had to slightly alter because the soil to seed ratio to me was a tad off. I tossed in a wee bit of Miracle Grow to get that started.
As for the n**, I want to do more research on growing it indoors before I plant it. I bought a pot, saucer, and the seeds today.
Figured I'd do a spring project and grow some plants. I also planted six herbs for myself from a kit too.
I want to start a cat garden but alas...I have no green thumb.....
I'm taking a crack at it and see how it goes. I planted my cat grass and we're germinating right now. Going to to the catnip in a few days.
Let me know how that goes. :3 Take pictures!!! Id love to just plant some grass for my kitties to eat but I dont have the space for it or the lighting. O.o
