tabtabtabI cannot say I had an easy childhood, if any childhood at all. I was born and grew up most of my younger years in an orphanage in Cornwall. The orphanage was an old abandoned, sort of, library that was large enough to hold all of us children. I loved it there honestly. I was not the most social kid in the place. Mainly because a lot of others were hostile as well, being kids that had either lost parents or who had been taken from irresponsible parents. But there were three others that I was a good friend to. You might know two of them today as Logan and Reed Klausman. The other close friend of ours was a girl a year or two younger than me, her name was Teagan, but we just called her Tea. We all had one thing in common, we were either just born when we were brought to the orphanage, or were born literally at the orphanage. The nannies and governesses were always too busy to take proper care of everyone, so Tea and I helped raise Logan and Reed ourselves. We made sure to stick together, no matter what. If we knew someone wanted to adopt one of us, we would either hide or make it a point to say they had to take all four of us.
One day there was a woman, a very kind woman, who said she was able and willing to take all of us. Teagan was beaming with excitement and I thought I was going to cry. I was fourteen at the time, Tea was twelve, and Logan and Reed were five. Even at that age, I had a bad feeling about being adopted by the woman. She seemed nice enough, and soon enough, we were in her car with her on our way to her house. I'm going to add right now that she was very kind to us, she did what she could to take care of us all. But only seven or eight months after our adoption did she wind up bankrupt. But she kept it as much a secret as she could. Tea and I found out though, when we all realized our food portions were growing thinner. That we started waking up and falling asleep hungry again, and that clothing washes were fewer and farther between. It was then that I became worried for my younger siblings. Even though we aren't blood related, we all considered each other to be. At dinner and breakfast I would let them eat off of my plate, even if I wasn't full. Tea would give them her snacks at lunch. Logan and Reed didn't realize it, though, they just thought we were never very hungry or had small bellies.
Teagan and I knew, we were fifteen and thirteen by this time, that we might be sent away again. We also agreed that it might be better considering that our adoptive mother had to pay for all of us. She might be better off if we were gone anyway. It wasn't but a week later that I was walking to the school where Tea, Logan, and Reed went to classes that a man approached me. You can guess, I was marked that day. Our adoptive mother was saddened but she knew what she had to do. I, however, saw it as a fantastic opportunity. The first night on campus of the Cambridge House of Night, I met with the High Priestess and pleaded that she let my siblings stay there. I had explained why I wanted it to happen so badly. Mercy of all Mercies, she allowed it. They went to different schools and our adoptive mother still had legal custody over them, but they stayed at the school with me. Over the next couple years at the school, we all regained strength and health. When I was in my fifth former year, Teagan ended up being marked, ironically. Unfortunately, there was something we never caught, her health was not as good as we had first thought. She'd had a tumor, and the changes her body went through after being marked didn't mix well with it. She rejected the Change two months after being marked. Our younger siblings were both effected greatly by it. Reed the most, I think. She went a little mad. After all, she was only nine at the time. The High Priestess kept an eye on her as did I, but we both knew she had gone a little mad. After-all, we had all gone through a lot in our years.
As you can tell, I completed the Change, in my sixth former year when I was eighteen. And just six years later, surprise of surprises, Logan and Reed were marked within months of each other. Logan has gotten a lot quieter over the years and a lot deeper with his thinking. Reed's mental and emotional trauma took its toll but she is much better. She is much more open to me and our brother, I think. She likes to do things more often instead of hide away and pretend she is walking by her sisters side. We all still miss Tea, but we're starting to move on with our lives more. Oh, one thing I did forget to mention, how we got to Colombia. Well, in short, I was an available Librarian and they needed one. It was in my sibling's Third former years that we moved. We're so used to moving around as much as we do, though. It wasn't quite as hard that time.

tabtabtabI believe I am a very loyal person as well as trustworthy. The catch is, though, that I am not just loyal to anyone. I am loyal to my family, and those who earn my trust. It is not something that can be earned after some random act of friendship. I generally have to know you for a while. It's not that I don't like people, it's that talking seems to be the human attempt to fill space with action-less thoughts. I enjoy filling my time with books and reading. After all, I am a Librarian. I have no favorite genre of books but I am very fond of Jane Austen's books. As well as Conan Arthur Doyle's Sherlock Holmes. Anyway, I try not to be a frump all the time like Logan, sorry buddy, I love you, but you're a grump. One of my unfortunate habits and traits is when I start, anything that happens to do with the slightest adrenaline, I don't really stop. I just go on a roll. This can also, sadly, bring out a bit of a flirty side with me. I try not to lead women on because that is not where my interests lie. Men, however, are a different subject entirely that I don't quite mind at all.
